  1. I might just have missed to read the lines about this or there's not been anything released about this, but I wonder if they(devs) have mentioned if they are developing a mac client alongside with the windows client or will mac owners have to wait for a GR client till later? Or is it just so that we do not know yet?

    Thanks in advance

I believe that I miss your message. There will always exist players that looking to exploit the games that they are playing (I am not one of them). There will also be a lot of players who only want to help the devs out and it's probably more of these players on the beta then exploiters.

    BTW
just to be clear about this im too busy to actually be in BETA id rather play game then be a unpaid beta tester
You sound like you do have a lot of opinions of this so why don't beta test? If everyone had the same 'unpaid beta-tester' thinking like you seem to have very little bugs would be riddled out. Everyone else is prob just as busy as you are with family and jobs. You have to invest something to create something better. You can't always just sit around rolling your thumbs and complain about bugs and believe that everyone else will do the work for you so when you play the game you can just jump into a bug free world.

Help out and you shall recieve!
  3. There is always bugs in games. It's pretty impossible to make a bugless game. Bugs occure due to ; drivers, player triggered, version of operative system, bad code, incompatible third party software... the list goes on with millions of examples. You can't simply write a application that's 100% compatible to every single system setup out there. It's different and more easier to scribble out the bugs when you write for a system with non dynamic specs, like a console for instance.

eeeeh? if they want to farm then let them. They pay monthly subs just like you and they decide what they want to do with their time on CoX.

I'm a scrapper with an emphasis on science and my first mission is to clear the sewers of Zombies to locate a character. I get killed constantly. It's extremely frustrating.

My question is do I need to do these levels with more than one person, or do I just not yet get the hang of combat? I've been killed so many times without much progress that I'm almost ready to throw in the towel. Considering how badly I wanted to play this game, that notion is such a let down. (I did a lot of research and reading on CoH vs. Champions and this one is wildly more popular and successful)

Any help or guidance anyone can offer me is greatly appreciated.
    Welcome to the game!

Which powerset do you have for your scrapper? You need to play strategically, you can't just run in head over head in large groups of mobs. Bah, I'm sucky at explaining... better wait for someone more pedagogical to answer your post. But if you type your primary and your secondary powerset it would be easier to help you.

haha what I din't like with mercs was their AI. The spec ops isn't really that great and the medic almost never mend his team mates. Healing should be his job not mine, my job is to read the newspaper and drink coffee while they take care of biziniss

I do have both mercs and thugs. I enjoy thugs the most, posse is so darn hilarious but I rarely play on redside nowadays. I still don't like tanking on team with them though.
  10. Tank. It sounds fun in my head but every time I try to start a tank it ends up with me not liking the toon. Too much controlling aggro. I do like to play with defenders though which is strange..

I'm a little undecided with this. If you talk about the comic batman (IMHO the real batman) he does bring in the villains to the law enforcement or to Arkham if they are too dangerous to keep in jail. Though he is not an actual policeman and wears a badge he works with the police, Chief Jim Gordon is his informer and they constantly keep communication with each other. The villains of Gothamn know that Batman will put them in jail. So in a way Batman is a part of the law enforcement. He is also Gotham's hero alongside Robin which Gotham can call on when they are in need of help, using the bat signal. Just like calling 911.

If you talk about the Bale movies however.. (I won't state my opinion of them here) it's portrayed slight different. Bale is more of a person taking law in his own hand. As wayne he's totally different from the charasmatic and intelligent Wayne in the comics who put everyone else well being before himself. As batman Bale is a depressed and a mental instable maniac who is constantly fighting against his memories of the criminal who shot down his father and mother. Yes, Batman does have this inner conflict in the comics 2 but its extremely much better pulled of, well written and it builds up to something important.

If it happens, then let's get some drum sticks for Dual Blades as well.

Like /drum and /drumlow, I could easily see emotes for other musical instruments.

Since you can already select songs and play them from the emote list, I don't see any reason for song commands. Essentially, we already have access to the ones in the game - including their names.
Well... a electric guitar can in fact be called Battle Axe or War Mace in some societies. There's also numerous customized guitars who does have these shapes. Usually in Viking Metal, Black and other kind of dark nordic metal we refer to our electric guitars (warlocks or other evil guitar designs) as a Battle Axe or a mace we wield to crush the skulls of our enemies and more provocative: 'the christians'.

The Matrix Online had a music player which was very awesome by the way.

Longbows are not super heroes. They are a recruited super specialized task force who helps the super heroes bring in villains to justice. Longbows are the Paragon Cities Arachno soldiers, their counterpart.
As a villain character you never get to become a super villain. You are always a lackey of Recluse, not a villain who stands on his on feet seeking revenge upon those who for example; bullied you in school or rejected you and made you into a laughing matter when you tried to make a career as a successful scientist.

Why the h*** would you want to do that!??? You are a villain so why would you care about what Recluse want!? You surely should have your own motives to go around with your genious evil schemes to bring down Statesman and his league of super heroes so you can be the president of the world. You want to become famous, rich and feared and in order to do so you have to get rid of every single one who are stupid enough to stand in your way.
Now, were you truely a super villain you would begin with either killing or imprison Recluse's sorry sweet a** in a block of ice somewhere on the north pole, and when that unintelligent idiot (yes ofc you are smarter then him, you are a friggin super villain!) is out of your way you would rule the isles with an iron hand and start plotting on how you will conquer Paragon City.

Ofc, that last part wouldn't work in a MMO. But my point is that in CoV you are from lvl 1-50 just a mere thug working for a guy who is to incompetent to do anything by himself. And instead of putting him out of his misery and save both Recluse's and your time you choose to continue to wipe his b*** for him. Or you go with Burke and that' just the same story. Neither the path you will never become anything greater then a simple thug.
  19. Virtue + Freedom and also; a lot more ppl on blue side

    Go to Redside.

Nice try, but I exist to bring in villains like you who does nothing but bathe in the misery of others. They say that crime never rest, and neither shall I. Welcome to serve your future 1654 days in jail!

Ok now serious; the reason I left the red side was because I got so blooody tired of the greeeey and the brooown. *blargh* Combining this wonderful color scheme with the fact that you aren't even a villain, you are just a mere arachnos thug or a simple merc doesn't interest me enough to keep me there. I still do get on my villains from time to time but I prefer to be on the blue valiant side!

Blueside; you are a hero who lives in a city that's plagued by crime, citizens in peril and villains everywhere which you bring in as you go. Even the smallest feat like saving a lady who is getting robbed make you feel like a true hero who is greatly needed by the city to fight crime and makes an greater impact on the world.

Redside; you are a villain in cities populated by other villains and you fight against these other villains o.O. How often do you take on a hero when you play as red? Almost never... because there simply almost never is a hero in CoV. Sure you meet some FC's from time to time but compare this to play on the blueside. Nothing you do on redside really seem to have any impact on the world cause there is so many other villains doing the exact same thing. Even the banks you rob is located on the rogue islands.
You don't fight any hero nemesis. You don't scheme anything big and sinister against Paragon City and it's inhibitants. All you do is cowering in the Rogue Islands wiping the arachnos b*** while watching the brown and the grey colors, running around in a city that looks like it's lived through the II World War inhabited by millions of npc villains doing just the same thing you do: nothing..
