In your case the HD 4650 is lower performing card relative to the 9800GT. Right now Tom's Hardware bins the 9800GT with the HD 4830 and HD 5670.

If worse comes to worst, you don't even have to enable Ultra Mode. You can keep playing the game exactly the way you see it right now.
Everything they've told us about Ultra Mode says it is completely optional.
