Oddly enough they're listed under the Historical Heroes section, when even in that listing they're credited with downing a US plane and nearly starting a Nuclear war...

  2. It's a Rubble off a Boulder Abomination from the Halloween Banner event. All the mobs are coded like invasions, so they con even to everyone.
  3. That's OK, it's a hoax. They went to 2015 in the movie.
  4. Some time before Issue 21 (when the Underground Trial came out) a friend of mine had an old radio mission full of Infested IDF. Gallery: http://imgur.com/a/wrjWU#0
  5. A number of additional theories:

1: Just like there's no large city in the Rhode Island we know, Praetoria could be based on an alternate geography that led to the creation of a large metropolis between Houston and New Orleans, or between New Orleans and the Florida Panhandle.

2: During the Hamidon Wars, the Old River control dam was destroyed, and the Atchafalaya River captured most of the outflow of the Mississippi River, turning New Orleans into a backwater and leading to the creation of a new urban area at the new terminus of the longest river of the country.
  6. I had a fairly long comment on a similar thread not long after Going Rogue came out, and my theory is that Praetoria is in Lake Pontchartrain, and First Ward is old New Orleans. After all, where else in the country do they separate portions of the city into "wards"?

Cimeroran caverns are actually reskinned large caves. (As are Snake lairs, as Sam mentioned.)

Of course! I was trying to get all the rarer types and forgot one of the most common! Added!

Like how many unique cave-types do we have vs how many skins over those maps such as the 'big cave' which is reskinned with the bone/flesh in Dark Astoria to look like the entrails of a large creature.

Are the Oranbega map-types unique? I know they reskin/recolor those.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of much. Council map-type (with Fifth Column reskins), Sewer map-type, 'narrow cave' map-type and such.

Now, I *do* feel the devs could add more unique map-types but they can also reskin more than just office maps as much as they do. Reskin some warehouse maps some more, make vertical map-types to reskin, etc.
Oh man, I finally get to talk about my love of maps!

Interesting fact: Small caves, council/column tunnels and (mostly) Oranbega halls are all based on the same geometry. There are a few maps where you can tell that the same sections have been assembled into identical maps, except with the different skins. Check out the shape of the rooms on the map sometime, and you'll see that they match.

Here are all the map types as I understand it:

    Small cave(blue/brown)/council/column/Oranbega
Large cave (hero/villain versions, reskinned for Mot)
    Office(hero/villain/praetorian/abandoned versions)/eternal prison/other uniques
    Arachnos base
Arachnoid cave (reskinned for Talons of Vengeance)
Primal warehouse (also abandoned)/uniques including garage, tsoo parlor, freakshow base and carnival den
    Praetorian warehouse
    Praetorian lab
Sewer (parts of sewer maps may also be based on the same geometry as small caves, but it's much harder to see)
    Edit: Primal tech/lab

And then there are all the unique maps.

Another interesting fact: The outdoor forest map with the two paths into the trees from the main open area is the same map as the burning forest, except the trees have all been removed and replaced with a few trees on fire.

It IS several years in the past, at least according to some of the mission dialogue. One of the contacts references the first appearance of some of the critters in the zone "last Halloween", which makes the entire Croatoa arc take place in 2005, when the zone was created, and after the first Halloween event.

Of course, Faultline takes place later, despite being a lower level range, and don't even get me started on Admiral Sutter and the new Atlas arcs...
  11. I'd guess a forum software update that logged people in automatically, were it not that it happened on a weekend.
  12. It's the original Atlas Park theme, and it's a McDonald's commercial.
  13. I put my current projects on my paragonwiki page (linked in my sig), and do my best to limit my play time to those few, with the goal of getting everyone on the list at least 1 level a week, and then playing the one on top some more, because when they get to 50, they come off and I get to put another alt on the list. It works remarkably well - I just got a 50 in the last week, so the update today got to bring up a character I had in waiting.

They don't actually appear as enemies in any of the story arcs in the zone, so they seem to be more like outdoor flavor for the mobs.
They appear in at least 1 of the repeatable missions in the zone. Forget which contact - I think Mr. Calhoun. I fought them earlier this week and was very surprised!

    Your DXP Plans

    What a scrapperific weekend!

Titan Weapons/Inv Scrapper from 13 to 26 (1-13 Thursday night)
    Fire/Spines Scrapper from 23 to 24
    Street Justice/SR Scrapper from 26 to 30
    Claws/Inv Scrapper from 30 to 32
Elec/Energy Scrapper from 38 to 49.5 (and I would have made it to 50 if I hadn't had to go to work at 7 AM this morning)
  18. I was just about to log on for the night. :-(
  19. Well, my customer ended up being REALLY late, so I'm about an hour behind schedule. I'll look for folks in D&B about 4, most likely, and will be sticking around until about 6:20 when I have to get Medieval.
  20. Sweet name badges! I'll take the 9CU with my forum name, and plan to be at the Starbucks around 3 PM!
  21. Well now! Things have worked out just fantastically since I last checked on this thread...

MY GF's birthday was this week, so the entire family is going to Medieval Times on the 18th, and the show starts at 7, so I need to be there about 6:30. Now that there is a pre-party, I will be able to get there nice and early and hang out with everyone!

    Hooray!
