Quote:Decorum, think of it this way:Oh, I guess I see what you're saying. I was interpreting wrong, thinking the OP didn't want to be bothered checking all those various levels to see if they were available. I take it you're talking about posting bids for certain items and just leaving them there to see if they hit right when something becomes available.
Although seeing it like that, I don't see any change in my opinion. It's still just a nice little QoL thing and I highly doubt any effect of significance on the market.
I want an in-demand recipe (say Kinetic Combat Acc/Dmg) that goes for ~4 million (or whatever). I'm willing to take any level from 32 to 50. There are, however, zero for sale at any level.
So, I can either put up a bid at one (or a few) levels and hope that those specific levels get posted and potentially missing one that got put up for sale at some other level; or I can blanket bid - which requires 18 slots and 72 million INF tied up......And I'd most likely end up with a couple of extra purchases that I didn't want [not a big deal if it's a high-demand item but with low-demand items it can be].
Being able to put in a bid in the manner of:
"1 Kinetic Combat Acc/Dmg, minimum level 32, maximum level 50, bid price 5 million"
would really make things smoother and more accessible.
Of course, my preferred option would be to actually remove the levels from recipes themselves, and simply apply the IO level during crafting (either selectable or based on the crafter's level). That's got it's own issues (ie salvage requirements shifting by level), but it would be my choice as it would really streamline the market interface and drops... -

How else do you suppose they are to cool off?
btw the fans are located in the thorax area. Still have to get the air in and the regular vents don't have enough airflow. -
Taunt is a tool, just like any other power. Take it if you like it, don't if you don't want to.
I tend to take it, map it to the ~ key and use it as part of my attack chain. As I don't usually build for extreme recharge (and almost never take Hasten), I've usually got a small gap in there somewhere to throw in a quick Taunt just to pi** off the mobs even more.
That said, I've got non-Taunt tankers that are just as viable. They tend to be a bit more Scranker type builds though, with more focus on personal damage output. -
Bouncing through Brickstown this morning (on Pinnacle) and I'm running across HUGE groups of level 54 CoT standing around in the Zig exercise yards....
I'm talking 10-15 mobs, mostly ruin mages and behemoth overlords, all level 54. And not some singular group, but multiple groups all within visual range of each other.....
Anyone know of something special going on ? -
It could be . . .
Also for the OP:
Agent G should have given you an "Arachnos Disguise" temporary power during the "infiltrate an arachnos base and get the codes" mission, just prior to the ones that send you into the tunnels.
It's got 1/2 hour real-time-based timer on it. If you run the missions back-to-back, it's very easy to hit all of the tunnel missions within the time limit of the temp power.
The temp power gives you either a Night Widow or a Huntsman disguise and counts as full 'don't attack me' status, making it easy to run through the tunnels. -
I've been noticing it too, and not just on Trolls.
It appears that all of the melee-class NPCs who have NPC versions of anti-mez powers
are now actually getting the full status protection those powers should have been providing.
I've seen NPC versions of both Integration and Unstoppable providing massive mez protection and knockback protection, even on non-EB level mobs who lack the purple triangles of controller death. -
To the OP:
1) Don't feel that asking questions is "bothering" anyone here on the forums, that's WHY we are here.
2) ALL of the info in that "guide" is freely available from other sources and/or the forums.
3) Save yourself some grief (and the 30 bucks) and don't buy it. Spend the 30 bucks on game-time or booster purchasesYou'll get a heck of a lot more use out of it than that "guide" would provide.
Fin. -
I was pretty certain that I saw a post from Jay saying that the glowing bits on the gloves and breastplates that you see in the teaser vids aren't available to players....but now I can't find it, so I could be wrong.

I honestly thought this was going to be another "lets have open pvp in the streets of paragon" type thread, and was all set to stomp all over it....
However, this isn't a bad idea.
It's basically just a slightly different version of a safeguard mission, without the actual bank robbery.
It would need some fleshing out, but sure. /signed -
I really would recommend that you check out Father X-Mas's signature builds, they are a very good starting (or even ending) point and he's done most of the work for you.
Plus, they make a nice checklist to make sure you've covered everything you'll actually need, like Memory, Hard Drive, Operating System, etc for an actual new build. Then you can eliminate whatever you might be salvaging from the old machine (if anything) and go from there. -

The I5's use Socket 1156, the I7's use Socket 1366.
The I5's are Dual-Core CPUs (except for the top-end of the I5's - the I5-750 which is a Quad-Core).
The I7's are all Quad-Core CPUs and up (the newest I7 is the 6-Core 980X for $1000)
I wouldn't bother with any of the lower I5's, but the 750 is an acceptable chip. It lacks the Hyper-Threading (which makes the operating system think each core is 2 cpu's), but it's not bad for the bucks, but it's 'Turbo-Boost' is slightly better than the earlier I7-920's.
Also, the chip architecture is different for memory controller and "data bus - actually called QPI now", but it's hard to explain.
I7's have normal Hyper-Threading (so a quad-core I7-930 reads as 8 cpu's to the operating system), and the Turbo-Boost, and are "more" future-proof in that they use the 1366 socket.
There's not really enough room here to go into huge details, but a quick google lookup on "Differences between I5 and I7 CPU" will give a wealth of info.
A lot depends on other uses for your machine, overclocking you plan, and later upgrades. Example: Intel most likely won't be releasing any new chips in the 1156 socket format, but if you're not planning on upgrading the CPU without a new motherboard in the future that really doesn't matter.
Personally, I would get an I7-930. That's pretty much the best overall "bang for buck" [Intel] chip right now, imo. (I don't do AMD, so I can't comment there)
As far as motherboards go, ASUS makes great enthusiast boards (good for overclocking, pretty reliable, etc). You pay a bit more for the privledge though. If you want a good, and reasonably priced mb, my recommendation is to look at the Gigabyte UD5 or UD7 line of boards (if going socket 1366...I'm not sure what the 1156 boards designations are). Just my opinion though, I'm sure there's others who would disagree with me. -
Has anyone found the new car-horn-honking sound? It's rather jarring and annoying.

Another great set of player vids are the Angry Angel SG videos and, of course, ANYTHING by SamuraiKo.

No, you're not missing anything. What you're seeing is leftover relics from the days past.
Way, way back in the old days, the stores only sold some of the enhancement types (Acc, Dmg, Rchg, End Red, just the 'important' ones) [I don't remember all of them, but you can probably look it up if you're really interested].
So if you wanted some of the more esoteric enhancers, you had to buy them from your contacts. That got changed real fast, but the contact stores were never eliminated.
Nowadays, just buy regular enhancements (TO, DO, SO) from the correct store and then get your common IOs from the market and/or invention tables. -
Found a Youtube entry for it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGB8K6TyslU

Playing "Mambo #5" in the background? I think it's titled "Bobbo #5".
Love that one. I'll see if I can dredge up an old link to it...may or may not be good anymore though. -
I could be (probably am) mistaken, but I think the "debuff" numbers you are seeing are how the real numbers monitor displays the travel-speed-suppression effect.

And, wow, unreadable wall of text is unreadable.
1) Take a deep breath and calm down for a minute
2) Try using punctuation and paragraph formatting, that post is headache inducing
3) Ask for help, don't Demand it.
4) Maybe try visiting the PvP sections of the forum for help?
5) Go to ParagonWiki.com and do some research
6) I have no idea what "adn other video games with the same letters of COH I DOWNLOADED THAT DIDD NOTHING. LOTS OF ERRORS THAT CRAHSED IT. AND DID NOT DO SET BONUS POWERS" even means.... -

I'm assuming you are talking about a Tank that DOESN'T have Taunt.
That means he's not actually talking about a TANK. He's probably talking about a Brute who's "tanking" for the team. And, odds are, it's a Brute without Taunt who's just relying on Punch-voke and his "taunt aura". Both of which do require that the Brute hit the mob, which he probably wasn't doing due to having a lot of folks in melee range of the Invincibility.
[ which is pretty much what you said, but in a much wordier aspect]

Quote:Yep, too bad it's the "Vault" edition.I must admit, I had just played a set of very hard bass songs on Rock Band 2 before playing CoX so "the Trees" by Rush was firmly stuck in my brain.
Not a huge fan of Geddy's singing, but boy can that man write an amazing bass line.
I prefer the original version that actually went to release.
As to the DE in Croatoa, they've always been there, but they stay out in the Misty Wood.
In closer to town, it's always just Fir Bolg.
I remember running into them during my very first run though the zone. -
And then, when they implemented my "rat" skeleton, he would have to be immune to all of the poison/vomiting holds since rats can't vomit....

If you were running any old, low-level, arcs; that would explain it.
The arc completion enhancement reward is set as to the type of enhancement it gives, but not the level. So if you were finished an old arc and got the reward drop it would/could be an appropriately leveled TO... -
Can't help with #1 as I've never recolored my chat bubbles. I would of assumed that if you're doing the say in /local that it would end up with the same colors as other local chat...but apparently not.
#2 however, I can help with.
To get a saved version of all binds on a character use /bind_save_file {path/name} to save all of the binds on a character to a text file.
example: /bind_save_file c:\mybinds\myblaster.txt
Then you can just edit the binds you want to change and reload the file with
/bind_load_file c:\mybinds\myblaster.txt
This will re-do all listed binds in the file.
It won't get rid of any binds that you delete from the file..so if you do that, then you should clear all existing binds on the character [via the options screen/keybinds tab] before doing the re-load.
You can also manually unbind keys with the /unbind {key} command. -
I noticed this exact same behavior yesterday as well and bugged it.
I know it wasn't doing this prior to the I17 release, but I'm not sure if it was I17 itself, or one of the couple of maintenance patches since then that caused it to show up.
