The store has a purchase limit of 3 items/day. You might get around that by changing payment methods, but it has been said that the limit is per household.

Quote:Look inside the Quick Reference Card, there should be a code there.Okay, I did this. Yay!
Now what?
I have the dvd in my hot little hands, but there's no code that I can find on the disc or in the packaging. Surely I don't have to install the whole game from my drive? There's just a code somewhere I apply, right?
Edit:

Hopefully the area in the picture isn't blank in your case, but there were some that did ship without codes. -
The most I've heard about was 2 months, and that was only because of some really extraordinary circumstances. I'd agree with Lothic and saying that if it isn't under two weeks that you are likely better off just re-rolling.

Quote:It isn't Sleepy Cat, it is Sleepy_Kitty. I might not be able to nominate myself, but I at least know most of the people nominated on this list (aside from 2, 3, and 5).The 7EF:
- 1. Satanic_Hamster (s) for getting re-instated after a lifetime ban. (seconded by Sugar and Spice)
- 2. ConFlict (n) for being Epic on the PvP forums (Nominated by PhillyGirl)
- 3. black_barrier (n) same as above (Nominated By PhillyGirl)
- 4. Bill Z Bubba (s) For epic Techiness and computer skillz (nominated by Healix seconded by Golden Ace)
- 5. City_Life (n) nominated by Kheldarn
- 6. PepCat (n) BY catsi563
- 7. Sleepy Cat (n) By catsi563
- 8. Golden Girl (n) by cursedsorcerer, seconded by Golden Ace
- 9. Snow Globe (s) By Impish Kat,seconded by Golden Ace
Oh, and Golden Girl is on the wrong list. She should be on the Infamous list, not the famous.
- 1. Satanic_Hamster (s) for getting re-instated after a lifetime ban. (seconded by Sugar and Spice)

Looks like. I know that I was only able to buy a booster for my active account, not my inactive one.

Quote:I suspect that you have to complain to Best Buy, not NCsoft/Paragon Studios about that.So they posted this announcement saying "North American zone players can buy etc etc".
I demand my rights as a bona-fide North American! In fact, MY part of North America is bigger than those damn yankees!
Canada puts the NORTH in North America, we deserve to play good games cheap too!
(And I think there's a half-dozen other countries that qualify too...) -
Quote:Just to be sure we are all talking about the same thing:Thanks for responses. As I said, some of my avatars have this power, most don't (they are not in my powers list at all). And on the ones that do, it is often grayed out and unusuable. It doesn't say it has a time or use limit either. As for the Mac pac, I don't know what that is, but if a purchase, I did not make it. Is a very nice power to have, especially for new toon that wants to play with SG or team in areas hard to get to without travel power or for my toons with recall friend to get all assembled quickly. Still a mystery.
Is that the icon you see? If so, that is the mission transporter from the Mac Pack or the City of Heroes® Mac Special Edition In-Game Item Pack.
Some characters might have been bugged (in a good way for the players) by getting the power. However it seems (if this is the power you are talking about) that you don't have the Mac Special Edition In-Game Item Pack. If this is the case, I'd HIGHLY recommend that you get it today:

It is only $4.99 for today (Monday November 29th, 2010). You can click on the picture to be sent to the NCsoft store.
Edit:
Paragonwiki has a page showing all the costumes that this pack has:

By the way, this is the symbol for the "Assemble the Team" power:

Quote:It isn't. You have to get it from Colleen or one of the other hero Science Origin contacts of that range:Colleen Saramago (level 15-19 contact) has a mission with a destructible object called 'Box of Parts'. It will spawn an infinite supply of Gears while someone is near it. Sadly, I do not think the mission is available through Ouroboros.

Quote:Get a friend that is level 30+ that hasn't done the arc to invite you to the last mission or the whole 3 mission arc. Even if you are level 1 you get access to the Midnight Club.My concern/issue is I can start the Midnighter arc hero side as early as level 10 and have acquired it on numerous characters as low as level 11 or 12 while I have to wait until level 30 to enter the club with my villains.
Actually this is true for the hero arc as well. If you are in Steel Canyon and on the team when the mission holder talks to the Latin Student, you can get access to the club at level 1 there too. -
Quote:Why wait?Congrats on 892.

Yeah these threads usually get started right after a new Issue allows people to sprint up to new badge totals that were impossible before. You can pretty much expect a "1,100 badge club" thread as soon as I19 goes live.

1,100 Club. -
Quote:I'm surprised that Ingame Item packs STILL do not exist for either the CoH DVD (Cape of the Four Winds, VIP/Destined One badge, Prestige Power Slide) or CoV DVD items (Arachnos Chest Symbol, Arachnos Cape). I'm sure there are people that would pay for a combined CoH/CoV Collector's DVD Ingame Goodies pack. No, they were not. You might be thinking of the Hero Gear package for the CoH DVD Edition, but that is something different. The CoV items were NEVER offered outside the CoV DVD Collector's Edition.Quote:Actually, they did exist as far as I remember, but they were removed from the store.
The Hero Gear Kit was a physical package (something that hasn't been on the NCsoft online store for years) that contained everything that was in the CoH DVD package.Quote:I got the CoH collector's edition pack for $10 back around issue 8, shortly after I started with the CoV collector's edition box(last one I ever saw and even the regular copy wasn't for sale).
I'm glad I bought it when I did, but hope they bring it back for others.
"Prestige Power Slide" is still the most awesome sprint power ever.
What I'm talking about is a DIGITAL-ONLY add-on, like the GvE In Game Goodies pack, the Mac Pack, or the GR Complete Collection Item Pack. Neither the base CoH or CoV collector's editions got the same treatment. While every edition from Good vs Evil on has had a digital add on pack, those two do not. -
Quote:1- Yes, if you don't have the Going Rogue Complete Collection add on already.I just signed up for Best Buy's Reward Zone Gamers' Club in less than 5 minutes.
Now I have 2 questions:
1- Can I buy the Complete Collection on an account that I have already applied the GR Preorder? If it includes a month of game time, it seems like a no brainer for $9.99.
2- Can I buy more than 1 at that price?
2- Maybe, but each will have to be applied to a different game account.
You cannot stack multiple Going Rogue Complete Collections onto a single CoH account.
A complete collection code will stack on a pre-order that hasn't had the complete collection applied to it. Sort of like the basic CoH vs the CoH DVD or the basic CoV vs the CoV Collector's Edition. -
Quote:And after you get the promotion (in IAmTheRad's case, February), the player can then change the subscription type to something else. However only do so AFTER the subscription renews with the "new" plan.Okay, then set a one-time payment, via PayPal, to add the one year + 2 months next week. That is, if you want to pay for it now.
Otherwise, set it next week to the one year + 2 months setting, and you'll be charged for it when your next billing cycle occurs in February.
Example using IAmTheRad:
IAmTheRad chooses the 12+2 offer. In February, the plan is billed. Before his plan expires in April 2012, IAmTheRad can change billing to another plan, switch to paypal, or whatever.
This is because once you PAY for the 12+2, the system will say that you are on a 12-month plan. If that is not the case, change it just before the time expires. -
Zombie, if you are paying attention to this thread still, you might as well move it to the Player Guides section and add a linky to the Guide to Guides.
This thread has become unstickied again.

Quote:Read Black Pebble's clarification before leaping to unfounded conclusions:In fact, if you bought 12+2 months and immediatly unsubscribed, you had 14 months of game time.
But now you have to unsubscribe between month 12 and 14, with a chance that you miss it (or unsubscribe in advance and miss out entirely), thus making it likely that you will pay for 24 months and get 2 months free.

Again, you leap to conclusions. It likely has to do with EU laws. The offer is for NA servers because they can deal with the laws.Quote:OK, I am still happy we got this offer, but this also makes me a bit surprised. Why only "North American Accounts"? I take that to mean people on the US Servers (I am a European person playing on the US Servers so I figure the offer applies) BUT why not the Euro servers? Is this a sign that the Euro servers are in for something bad within the year?
