the reason I do it that was is so I can have a full screen of the first instance on my main monitor and the second one on the 2nd monitor smaller so i can see my yahoo and gadgets. my system runs both just fine, I was just hoping to not have to resize the 2nd instance each time

Hey All,
I am running 2 CoH instances at once on my PC. what I am wanting to do is somehow have one icon to boot up normally and the other to open up in a smaller game window. Is there a way to put something in the short cut to do that ? Ive looked but havent seen anything. thanks in advance

I took Repair Robot and skipped Tornado. Tornado does seem to scatter targets a lot and that makes battles go longer IMHO. I have 50s of everything but Zombies and the new Beast mastery and this was by far the easiest to get to 50.

I didnt realize they had taken them off..I had actually been hoping they might put them all on sale for a week or so..well guess that means we are now officially in the Paragon Points era

I just noticed my CPU usage going up. I havent played hardly at all in the last couple months and I have a CPU monitor gadget on my 2nd monitor. even in fights it normally stayed 40-45% (AMD Phenom II X4) now it stays 60-69%. I used to be able to run 2 CoH clients at the same time, now Im worried to try it. hopefully something will get worked out.

I had a problem with lag too. I tried everything I could think of and nothing worked. finally called tech support and its a combination of 2 things : the combat chat tab and the save chat options. try to disable save chat first (if you do) or delete the combat chat tab. worked for me, hope it does for you too

After the last patch I started having sporatic lag/fps problems, mainly on my MM's but was noticeable on all my toons. I tried updating drivers, reduce graphic settings, even reinstalled CoH twice. there would be some improvement but it wouldn't last long. I talked to everyone I knew and we had no luck. THEN I noticed that a friend of mine could log in on her account on my computer and there was NO LAG at all. nada, zip, zero.

Finally broke down and called tech support and I wasn't the first person to call about this. It seems that after the last patch, somehow the "Combat" tab in chat is causing major problems. He told me just to delete that tab and I would be just fine. and what do ya know ? it worked! on my MMs i delete the pet combat chat too. I was told that this has been happening quite a bit and that the issue would be upgraded. Also note that I have "Log Chat" enabled.

So if your rig is lagging, delete the "Combat" tab from your chat box to fix it, at least for now.

was this a fresh install or one that had been sitting on your hard drive for a while ? WAIT.. is your firewall not letting it access the web ? I have zone alarm and I have to run Zonealarm in Game Mode (which says YES to all requests) other wise it wont let me see the box asking if i want to allow access. give that a try. hope this helps

wow. I always had good luck with BFG cards, I'm running a BFG 8800 GT OC in mine now and love it. well time to send a fond farewell. thanks for the info.

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. When you first try to make a toon in Praetoria, you can't make an Epic, even if you already have a +20 lvl toon. Its not like its HARD to get to 20 anymore. If it was still 50 (sigh), then maybe would be something to complain about. Just chill and play the game. and yes I think the text that tells you the EAT is unlocked is not good but what can you expect ? No one is perfect and we all know how bad bugs are in any new update.

this isnt a fix but a workaround. google a program called Tweakcoh. lets you change options without being ingame. hope it helps

try running CoH in windowed mode, it made a world of differnce to me

I dont trust the email to hold anything for more than a few minutes. best thing is to use toons you dont play much to use as mules for recipes. safer that way

there is a program called TweakCoH that is great. it will allow you to set your resolution, refresh rate, etc, even before you load the game. give it a try.

double check all of your front panel connections, specifically the power and reset. also ensure the power connector to the mobo is in nice and tight too. the other thing i would suggest is getting the PS tested. you can take it to any pc show and they have a dongle to test it with. good luck.

Just a couple points from my twisted mind.

1. No Tier 3 Inspers. seems THAT would have been a real treat. make the drop rate less and that works fine.
2. Buster badge busted. this one is really a pain for me. I only have 2 toons i get badges with and I am not even close on the one I have been trying with. I played for 3 or 4 hours with MAYBE 3 spirits total. and I have lots of time to play. most people don't have that kind of time per week much less a day.
3. Jack spawns pretty much non-existant. I have seen him twice and I have very few friends that have seen him that much. I spent 3 hours killing Eochai and no Jack. that is just wrong.
4. Zombie Invasion is pretty fun as long as your computer cant handle it. friend of mine was getting .87 FPS last night. but i do enjoy getting puked on and the sound effecxts are pretty gross and thats cool.

just my 2 cents. take it or leave it. its all good no matter what
