Lag Issue
[Guide] Asking for technical help on the forums
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Ping may be good but that doesn't mean it's constantly good. That definitely sounds like the lag you see when you have a bad network connection. While in game type /netgraph 1
I'm having serious lag issues and i have no idea why. i have a nice machine and all my drivers are up to date. my ping is good. i have no idea what to do or try next.
Specifically, mobs, cars and npc move smoothly for about 2 seconds and appear to stop momentarily and then move again. I have no idea what is causing this but if anyone has an idea I'd be grateful. |
In the lower right you will see lines. If they are short and green that's a good network connection with good ping times. If you are seeing yellow then you are getting high transfer times for some packets. If you are seeing red then you are seeing packet loss. Type /netgraph 0 to turn it off.
And follow the link Texas posted and post the results of those two programs. Quite honestly saying you have a nice machine with up to date drivers is meaningless and possibly completely wrong. Nice and up to date are quite relative depending on the programs you are trying to run.
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
I had a problem with lag too. I tried everything I could think of and nothing worked. finally called tech support and its a combination of 2 things : the combat chat tab and the save chat options. try to disable save chat first (if you do) or delete the combat chat tab. worked for me, hope it does for you too
I deleted the combat chat tab also and it helped.
