Sooo the new thing is with DCnU don't fall too in love with the writing team... because everyday they're shuffln' -
Watched last night's ep
fairly good, more insight into Finch. More buttkicking action. All in all I am liking this series alot. Personally I see this kind of like the ground floor beginning of an even larger operation by Finch as the version 1.0 of the machine only covers New York. Considering he built it for the NSA, I wouldn't be surprised by the end of this season he goes "global" with his project. -

Voodoo was just tasteless. It spends most of the book in a strip club and I honestly couldn't have cared less about what was going on if it had tried to turn me off. The characters are flat and uninspiring, the story was slow to get going and the shameless fanservice was really, really shameless. Ugh.
you do realize the Character's first origin story and current one is that she was a stripper before her "Call" happens right? -
Yup - that clip alone has helped further sealed my SOLD on this series http://www.ign.com/videos/2011/09/01...summoned-to-oa
The fact that Timm is at the helm even further secured it. -

Just got done watching it. Interesting path they took at the end. While I dig this show there is a LOT of room to improve. Reliance on close focus and shakey cam though is a bit irritating
-
I dig the fact that its not just time travel but to a different timeline so basically instead of compromising their own history with a time paradox, they jacked some other schmo's timeline.
Somethings though I am not digging... the manufactured teenage angst. The fact that they just (SPOILERS) HAD to focus on a family that NEEDED to break the population control law for the entire planet (they don't tie tubes in the future / vasectomies if its that much a "extinction level" legality?) Ofcourse I suppose they needed to have the third child as the "awww isn't she cute and adventurous" factor. I'm hoping they focus on high adventure and not high drama and learned from V "the emo angstastic teen drama subplot DESTROYS good sci-fi" -
Caught it on cbs.com 's player
2 things one - CBS.com 's player SUCKS - they need to get a deal with hulu because omg the buffering is choppy...
BUT on topic - The show rocks, definitely on my weekly watch list! -

Oh and the Chief of Police in my flick HAS to be played by Mark Harmon!! A BadA** kickboxing supercop has to have an equally BadA** chief of police!!

first post edited just for the heck of it.

And you find your life has been turned into a movie - you ofcourse are the protagonist of this movie / flick / piece of cinema. Prior too this awakening you are given the choice of what kind of movie you'd be in, what character you'd be. What would you choose?
For me - I'd be a loose cannon roof jumping kickboxing supercop who follows his own rules in an action sci-fi / horror buddy comedy.
EDIT - It occurs to me I need a title and possible expansion in this - hmm
Title - All Hell Breaks Loose
My Character - the loose cannon roof jumping kickboxing supercop - is a Detective (former covert ops) who has a tendency for landing weird cases. The kind where monsters climb out from the shadows and start laying waste to the city. Or subtler ones like a series of teenage girls go missing because the city's vampire population or collateral fall out from their war with the werewolves (yeah we going BIG with the cliches). Unfortunately for him, but fortuitously for the audience, he has a form of aggressive diplomacy that causes lots of collateral damage. Either way you slice it he brings the badguys down, dead, undead, or alive.
Plot: A day in the life of a kung-fu kicking bad ***. Basically framed kind of like training day where the protagonist is taking the by the book rookie on a ride along on the spooky underworld of the City which is littered with aforementioned monstrosities. -
Ok saw it, dug it.
It may have all the fun of the Movies. Still kind of unclear as to where it takes place continuity wise (i.e. before Part 2 or after it) -
Hits tonight on Nickelodeon. Just thought those who are interested would like the FYI.
I wonder if this is in Continuity or out of Continuity... -
RE Young Justice - Digging the cameo by the Wonder Twins and Snapper Carr.

Quote:They already made this show... It was called "Touched by an Angel" or was it "Highway to Heaven"
the angel in those shows went around killing folks in poetically creative ways? Last time I checked those shows were mostly " uplifting character studies with semi comedic melodramatic anecdotes detailing the human condition in various walks of life" not a wall to wall SMITEFEST of to those who have it coming. If anything this would likely be closer to Dexter. -
Quote:That could be pretty entertaining if they followed the older comics where he was rather inventive with his punishments.
I don't doubt they'd do that, since heck in Batman the Brave and the Bold he turned a criminal into cheese and set mice free on him. And that's a kids series -
