That could be pretty entertaining if they followed the older comics where he was rather inventive with his punishments.

'I don't like the look of it at all,' said the King: 'however, it may kiss my hand if it likes.'
'I'd rather not,' the Cat remarked.
'Don't be impertinent,' said the King, 'and don't look at me like that!' He got behind Alice as he spoke.
'A cat may look at a king,' said Alice.

I don't doubt they'd do that, since heck in Batman the Brave and the Bold he turned a criminal into cheese and set mice free on him. And that's a kids series

They already made this show... It was called "Touched by an Angel" or was it "Highway to Heaven"

Squeeeeee.
My favourite comic series back in 93 or 94 . Issue 1 had a glow in the dark cover.

the angel in those shows went around killing folks in poetically creative ways? Last time I checked those shows were mostly " uplifting character studies with semi comedic melodramatic anecdotes detailing the human condition in various walks of life" not a wall to wall SMITEFEST of to those who have it coming. If anything this would likely be closer to Dexter.

Yeah, comparing those shows to the Spectre is like comparing Chucky from Child's Play to Howdy Doody.

Too many alts to list.

Ditch the world-beating power, cape and wrestling shorts and the basic premise seems good to go in today's TV. Somebody's betting that ghosts are the new zombies (which were the new vampires).

Statesmonkey Sez: Lighten up! It's a game, for Lincoln's sake!
Also: Six years of casual play begins to look an awful lot like one year of hardcore play.

But then why call it "Spectre"?

Why not just call it "Ghost Detective" and make something original?

Because then it sounds like yet another inane 'reality' series.

"Detective Ghost" has more potential IMHO.
