Interesting. I'll watch it again to see how they'll handle a regular production schedule.
Not as mystical as Second Edition or as Sci-Fi as Journeyman, two other shows that dealt with preemptive intervention of events.

Forum ate the first post, huzzah, so to summarize:
I liked the show, thought Caviezel was excellent as both the 'wounded everyman' and the 'hardened killer', and liked that though the back story is still unknown to a large extent, the story was kept relatively simple (indicating Abrams was not at all involved in its construction).
Enjoyed the first episode. Got a kind of Quantum Leap-ish vibe from it, though with a much more kick-*** problem solver. They set it up well, leaving lots of dangling lines to pick up on, such as the loss of Cavaziel's relationship, why Finch limps, and just what is going to happen when someone in the government clues into what they're doing, because you know they will. I'll keep watching.

Trying not to be cynical, but I hope this show doesn't get cancelled with the others that will.
Which ones? Only time will tell.

Yes. This seems to have what I was looking for in Human Target, but didn't find. I will stick it on my DVR.

Very promising start. let's see if it can keep it going.
Caught it on cbs.com 's player
2 things one - CBS.com 's player SUCKS - they need to get a deal with hulu because omg the buffering is choppy...
BUT on topic - The show rocks, definitely on my weekly watch list!
Have to agree it shows promise. They needed the "twist" at the end to keep it from being too predictable, but the twist itself was fairly predictable as well; but I'm more interested in the execution of the show then individual episodes.
I'm glad to see Ben Linus among the living and continuing his path of knowing lots but unable to actually do anything himself
Oh, and the machines name? MARTy
I've already forgotten about most of you
I'll go against the grain here: I didn't care for the show. I was unconvinced by its Bourne Meets Minority Report premise, It also seems like it's going to plop him into a different "story" each week -- and I honestly can't think of a single show that's used that framework (Quantum Leap, Highway to Heaven, etc) that I have ever enjoyed.
This one's off the DVR schedule already, since absolutely nothing about it made me interested in seeing more.

Don't know if any of you are planning to check this out, but Person of Interest begins tonight. JJ Abrams executive producer, Jonathon Nolan writing/producing, with Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson starring. From what little I can gather from IMDB and a few commercials, its based on the premise of stopping crime before it happens, much like Minority Report (and yes, while I mention Minority Report I am aware that there are other sci-fi properties that use a similar premise and are perhaps more apt as a comparison, no need to get so testy... seriously, calm down).
Aside from a giant billboard on my way to school/work, the action scenes with Jim Caviezel look particularly promising and he and Emerson are usually great in whatever they're in. Now to see what kind of Abrams product we get, or how involved he is for that matter.
The preview is here.
