yeah..... no way. won't make a difference as has already been pointed out.

dear plainguy,
im going to agree with bill. and i am also only goingot say HELL NO to any of your ideas in this thread. if i say anything else it will cause a **** storm of arguing that you will lose. -
the power supply seems a little low and i really don't trust integrated graphics. not to mention, it is a gateway. you can find better built systems for under that price.
this is my opinion though. let's see what others have to say. -
Quote:if you are running out of end at level 10, turn off some of your toggles and don't try to kill everything in a continuous stream. you really can't judge any at at the lower levels like that.I just realized that. My level 10 tank is running out of stamina pretty fast.
Just wondering, is there a way to repick powers later?
to help with end problems, slot at least 1 end reduction in each power. also, eat your inspirations. and you can combine 3 of the same inspirations to make 1 of what you need. -
and try to free up a little space in your hard drive. i try not to let mine drop under 25% free. do a disc clean up and defrag also.
-
and again, your wrong. if something is under performing they have just as much incentive to fix it as if it is over performing. the devs have access to all the info in the game which you do not. unless you can convince the devs that it is seriously under performing for rewards, what they have set is fine. i'm sure they are looking at it since it has only been around since i17 and will make changes if they see that they need to be made.

Quote:i highly doubt you were killed by -1 npcs with it on. the only way is if you had less then 50 hp when you turned it on and it would have to have been an entire group of npc's shooting at you right before you turned it on and they all would have had to hit you. in mid's it shows 81.9% def with just 3 so's in it. if you use io sets, that number can reach over 100%. hell, even when you add stealth and weave on top of it, each with 3 so's in them, it takes def up to 92.8%. eat a purple insp or 2 and nothing is hitting you at all.I've been killed by a group of -1 enemies with it on before.
And yes, you control when it gets turned on, but the thing is you generally turn it on when you need it, which is more often than not when you're far from full health. A couple of "lucky" shots later and that PFF didn't do you any good, but at least it fully protected them from you in your last moments. Perhaps the reason you were in dire straits was due to a mounting and staggering array of Defense debuffs which render the PFF less survivable as it fully protects the enemy from you.
try weating some insps next time you go into PFF. both green and purple. makes a big difference. -

Quote:no problem. hope the new driver(s) work for you.Gonna go ahead and try this, but still doesn't explain why things are a no go in safe mode. If it was a driver issue would the game work at all? Secondly, if it was a vid card issue, wouldn't running at minimal graphic requirements in safe mode solve the issue? Just a thought. Gonna keep trying whatever it takes. I won't give up on this. I'll update again once I get the new drivers and try a few other things. Thanks again folks.
-
ok, those are not the most current drivers for your video card. update those at nvidia.com. that may be your problem. also try to update your sound card drivers. you can also update to directx 10 if you can. i'm not sure if xp will do it but give it a try.
-
again. post a cohhelper and hijack this report. that way we can comfirm if it is your comp or not.
-
and it is highly unacceptable to demand to be pleased and thank you'd evey damn time you need or recieve a buff. i am not saying that m3lon was right in what he said, but the OP is being a little self centered in expecting this.

Quote:go back up and read what je_saist and i both said. the devs don't care how long it takes you. it is an average of the completion times. and no we didn't stealth. that was straight run through without stopping for bathroom breaks until the first part was finished. like said earlier in the thread:I know about the fact it can be stealthed and the fact that with 3 players (with stamina) it goes much faster.
Its about how fast it can be one with 7 other random people of varying levels. Since it is the first TF a new player will encounter it would probably be nice for it to be something other than "just another speed run" for badges and merits.
Quote:You can do the old Positron via Ouroboros and get considerably more merits. And have the same amount of fun as, let's say, watching paint dry. -
just a little fyi also, a friend and i duod it. the first part was in 30 mins which is under the average time and the second part was in 40 mins which is under the average. so does that mean that the merits should be lowered based off of my times?
-
Quote:the devs don't care what your(i mean you) average time is. obviously they feel that they give the appropriate merits at this time. The new Positron TFs are rather stingy with the merits. Any chance they can be reviewed and scaled up some?
Based on my "average" times Positron 1 should be 19 Merits based on the 3.7 Merits per minute. Positron 2 should be 21 Merits by the same formula.
Now that the new car smell is wearing off Positron TF it should be time to make sure the rewards are "correct"
Thanks -
Quote:to answer this as nicely as possible, because it defeats the purpose of being able to make alts and all of the power sets do not play the same. not to mention that it is a attrocious idea to begin with.
I believe if folks want to change primary and secondaries to just try things, why not? As long as, the player practices some form of discipline and courtesy to others.
as far as your server being filled up, transfer 2-4 toons and there you go. room for the new power sets.
and incase you just didn't read the OP's post and only read the title, which it seems to be you have, here it is:
Quote:With the live questions answered on Friday I would like to make note that there will be no full respec. The actual question was that if we would be able to full change the character archetype, primary and secondary power sets.
All I am concerned about is the primary and secondary power sets.
I would like to request to allow 1, and only 1, full power respec per pre-order of Going Rogue ( I would really like it for every character, but not trying to be too picky). Some of use have concepts that will be better fufilled with what we were planing with the new power sets. -
if the title would have had 2 more money's in it i would have thought you were ted dibiase sr. from wwe.

Quote:maybe if your running a low end performance computer you should try not running at the closest to max settings you can?Even single 2-texture planes pull cycles, because on even the most advanced graphics card, every texture matters, even just slightly. Especially when they're being animated(moving in one direction, or if your camera angle is changing, a time where low-end graphics cards often experience the sharpest lag).
In the meantime, this isn't just about making the game more playable on low-end systems, but also for making it more enjoyable for players who simply don't want that extra noise. Also, toggle effects do not all use this billboarding effect, in fact, many use transparent render effects, i.e. "Bubbles" combined with an animated polygon effect, hence why the polygon "rotates" ever so slightly. Combine that with the effect it creates over the objects behind, and it can put a bit of a hit on older, lower-end cards. But that aside, some players simply don't want to(or care to) see it.
I've seen numerous complaints of "I wish I could turn off your armor effect" as well, i.e. when ice armor is cast upon you by another player, and you simply don't want to see that on your player(It looks particularly funny on Khelds, for instance). This isn't just about increasing compatibility; This is about increasing customizeability. Allowing each player to make each install truly their own in every way. If the number of possible vectors of customization in character generation were available for interface customization, that'd make for a very interesting gameplay experience.
This could easily be taken much further. I'm sure there're players who don't care about global textures beyond flat colors as well, though this is a bit of an extreme. "Disable World Textures", perhaps? It worked very well for Katamari, in that it allowed the lower-end CPU of the PS2 to render Far more on the screen with far greater efficiency. Some players might want the immersive full-city texture effect, but some players may simply not care. Something to consider. -
Quote:nobody misread it. we understood it perfectly. the answer is, and always will be, NO! costumes should NEVER tie into game performance. EVER! and it should also NEVER grant another costume slot. PERIOD!Apparently a lot of you misread my second posting. The bit about "Costume changes making a difference for powers" ONLY applies to the theoretical inclusion of the "Transformation" secondary powerset, which would apply boosts, and grant one extra costume slot for the armor transformation.
and snow, the jet pack, just like the jump packs and raptor pack are not costume pieces. if they were they would stay out after you turned them off. they are temp powers. -
you can already do this by changing the camera angle.
but i haven't tried it in a while.

everytime someone even jokes about that the next thing you know there are like 5 posts within 2 days about adding this to the game. please do not even joke about it.
