Money! Money! Money

Okay, I am NOT Joel Grey............I have a character with oodles and oodles of money. Is it possible for my character to gift another character with some of the loot?

Specifically my other character which I just created last week.

I am aware you can buy lots (case lots) of influence (or a mark or a yen or a franc or a pound) but can you give that money to another character?

Scrooge McDuck i am Not!

Instead of trying to be clever, you should post your question plainly so that confusing things like the item I quoted don't have to be deciphered. :/

Wow, that is one...creative way of asking a question about...something.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

*ahem*

I must thank this truly wonderful collection of spirits who take the time to answer my questions because (at the age of 65) I am still learning! The 'Money' Quote was from Cabaret film with Joel Grey.

I again want to thank all who comment and help me as I grow in City of heroes and since I have you reading this i have always played solo and am curious about team playing? At what level can you start effectively? Folks tend to invite me when I am amidst a mission assignment.

Thanks again folks,

Level 2 is where most people start teaming (assuming they have done the tutorial)

otherwise, level 1

You can team effectively starting at level 1. The sidekicking system means that if you join a team with players who are higher or lower level than you the game will adjust the level of your powers to compensate. In general though most people prefer not to let the team level range get to large simply because you end up in situations where either someone doesn't have the powers they really need for the enemies level or the higher level players get bored because they only have access to their basic powers.

Agge make me sad

That was a downright clever use of a couple of lines from an awesome song in an awesome movie!

I want to see "Cabaret" added to your Netflix queue NAO!

It is worth noting that, while you can buy lots (case lots) of influence through influence peddling sites, you should not, under any circumstances, do so.

In addition to being against the EULA, which you agree to every time you boot up the game, and is a bannable offense under that EULA, buying influence from these people is extremely risky. You are giving your credit card and account information to people operating in another country against whom you have no legal recourse should they misuse your credit card or your City of Heroes account.

It is ridiculously easy to make influence in this game, and nothing is out of reach provided you practice a smidgeon of patience. You do not need to buy influence from anybody.

Long post short. Don't buy influence from influence peddlers. You put your account and credit card at risk.

New story arcs coming soon (ARC IDs will be aded when I finish the arc):
So, you want to join the Hellions? (level 1-14 Villainous arc)
Sparks & Steel (level 5-20 Heroic arc)
and
So you want to join the Skulls? (level 1-14 Villainous arc)

Oh, sure, they're a trusted company. Inf sellers are starting out right off the bat as rule breakers, so you can be pretty sure they're not to be trusted.

I assume you're asking how to store Inf because you've hit the 2b cap.

  • Bid on things that can't exist such as Level 53 TOs.
  • Make other toons to just hold money, though, getting these toons to around 20 will get enough slots that they can become marketers pretty well. And, as said, it's super easy to make money in this game once you have money.
  • Make/Buy an SG and store cash in the form of Enhancements in racks you buy. Some investments are very safe. In fact, you'll accidentally make money this way.
Enjoy the game.

[When posting keep it simple. It's not like we're all 14-year-olds, but sometimes the big words make me go "uh, words...words...hmm."]

If you're on Freedom, give me a shout. You need to start teaming, it is very fun.

Stryker's fairly new. I seriously doubt if he's hit the cap. In fact, if he tells us how much "money" he's talking about, there's a fair chance most of us won't consider it all that much.

And he's not trying to store inf, but transfer it to another character.
