The last couple Kahns i was on involved ignoring the AV adds and letting the splash damage eliminate them. Occasionally a teammate or two focuses on the add and just makes sure Reichsman is lined up in any cones used on the other AV.
Still, Reichsman himself just gets tedious when you don't have much in the way of debuffs to toss on him. i think the only reason BSF annoyed me more than most Kahn TFs is that i've done it less and the rest of the team was also less familiar with the SF.

Never had that happen on the LRSF, but i've only done a couple dozen LRSF runs at most. Mostly on PuGs along the line of what Dechs and Smurphy are known for: any AT, any powersets.

Still, that said, sometimes it pays to know the speed runners on the server. One hour, two Khans, two Notices :-)

We did at a couple points have two team members on the floor at the same time, but then it was a PuG-ish SF made up of whoever was on channels at a fairly early time and none of us had run the SF recently or lead one before. So not really an ideal speed run setup. Still, not very difficult or dangerous, just a bit slow.

Basically that's my opinion. The gadgets and ambushes do reduce the monotony, but the sheer amount of hp to pound through makes him much more tedious than Rommy or other AVs with tricks of their own that don't involve an hp bar that takes forever to move.

However, if you did make a pack and send a portion of the proceeds to the SPCA... I would be all over it, even if I never used a bit of the costumes.
Part of the proceeds going to the ASPCA is a win in my book. It would be a great source of goodwill and publicity if they do that.

Incidentally, i'm hoping a dinosaur pack would include some piscine alternate textures for creating things like sharkmen and other aquatic-themed critters.

Well, i already have Feral Chimera and Feral Catgirl on Virtue, so i'd be up for that.
  4. Just finished a Barracuda Strike Force run and was reminded again that the 'Cuda Reichsman fight is the single most irritating AV fight in the game.

The "biggest sack of AV hp EV-AR" approach to his design doesn't make for an interesting fight.

i like the "gadget fight" elements, but it doesn't make up for the general annoyance of "keep hitting him until either he falls or team DPS drops too low from the players dozing off at their desks waiting for him to fall."

    ...

Still, got the Notice of the Well, so i guess it was for something worthwhile.

Personally, I've got a couple Werewolfish characters who are really excited for this, and expect I'll find uses for a lot of the other stuff.
All of my catgirl(ish) characters are more of a 50/50 hybrid of human and animal traits. They're not anime styled girls with a couple animal traits but more like chimerical organisms.

Beast Run will be perfect for those since they're intended to be actual animalistic creatures that combine human and animal traits.

Invention Origin enhancements never change their boost or get outleveled and can be used as long as your level is three levels below the IO or above.

The Paragon wiki has a decent page on Invention Origin Enhancements.

You can still file a petition even if you don't know exactly who is doing the griefing. i don't know whether GM tools can determine ownership of pets/pseudopets, but there are other methods of finding the culprit.

It does not mean the group is "Top" in any subjective category, such as nice people, people knowledgeable about the game, or people that are fun to play with. For me, those three things are far more important than how much Prestige a SG has.

Before joining any SG, play with a few members so you can see if your playstyles mesh or if they are fun people. If, after joining, the rules of membership seem a lot more like work than fun, ditch the group and find fun people to play with.
    This. So very much this.
Honestly, global channels have pretty much replaced SGs and coalitions in my own experience. The private channels i'm in tend to have the various members' SGs in coalition and most SG bases have all the basic amenities of storage, teleporters, worktables, etcetera, so it doesn't really matter all that much what SG you join as long as it's with people you like.

Just as an example, i formed a joke/novelty SG on Virtue called the Name Stealers a while back. We don't play the characters in that SG very often, but between the coalitions for teleporter access and the several hundred million inf i converted to prestige to fund the base we have the ability to access all the standard SG amenities.

OK seriously now, why do you guys hate Liefeld so much?
Yeah he has the tendency to go way over the top, hide the feet and can´t keep deadlines... so what?
He´s still one of my favourite Comic Artists, and gave us two of Marvel´s most iconic 90´s Heroes: Cable & Deadpool.
I mean all that hate and ****... does that give you something or what?
Can you draw better than Rob? If yes, why is he succesfully drawing and publishing comics and you not? If not, cool your engines, stop criticising (<- that word looks wrong, is it?) and try to actually become better than him.
And finally, maybe you should have a look at This.

    Red, out!
Liefeld is just a lousy artist. By that i refer to his illustration and writing. The whole "shut up if you can't do it better" response is simply idiotic. If you've read a lot of comics, or seen a lot of movies, or eaten a lot of food you don't have to be a master artist, director, or chef to know when you're being served garbage.

Cable and Deadpool two of Marvel's most iconic heroes of the 90s? Well, they do stand out a bit when not posed with other Liefeld creations, much like the Elephant Man at an opera, but even then Wolverine remained far, far more iconic. Unless you mean iconic of the more absurd and dated cliches of the 90s.

Oh, and that page in your link isn't too bad, especially if Liefeld did the coloring. i'm actually sort of impressed. The dialogue/writing is simply mediocre, but maybe someone else wrote it. However the next page promptly descends into bizarre proportions and sequential incoherence. Just try making sense of the events as depicted on that next page. No, really, look at the events as implied by the sequence of panels and try to explain what universe's physics would make them sensible and coherent.

Still, animal pack coming soon makes up for all that. Mostly by not having any association with any of it.

Next form MTV: Voltron! Because 5 lions merging into a giant robot is too complicated, the new Voltron is now just a lion-man robot... all ready for a crossover with Thundercats!

    Shoot me.
    *snerk*
    i'd watch that.

Yeah, the original Thundercats had some decent(ish) character designs, but the stories were far from complicated, and i have to agree with those that say the animation and voice acting were awful simply because they were awful.

i've rewatched some of the cartoons i enjoyed as a wee little terror and i realize that they were frequently awful. i can't believe how badly animated some of them were. In some cases i think hiring tweeners was considered too expensive, so they used half as many as should have been there to not look like garbage, and the constant recycling of previous scenes in new episodes, or even the same episode... Oy vey. Fortunately my standards back then were much lower.

I know the Beast Run is coming, but since this is an open forum I have the right to say that it looks embarrassingly bad (much like the crouch and growl animations, I guess there is a theme there huh?).

You like the look? Great, tell them so. Just like I will tell them it looks ridiculous.

So, again: Anthropid frame is not meant to move like that, and beast run looks rather poor. Yeah I am pretty much going to have to deal with that, because it's bloody unlikey that Paragon is including new models and skeletons in the beast pack.

Forum cartel back to shouting down any dissenters!
    Okay.

You keep on shouting down those dissenters. Good job.

I would so use a travel power like Ninja Run on more of my characters if it weren't a booster pack thing.

That, and I'd love to see more complete movement customization, where I can pick my running animation without having to run an expensive toggle.
According to the detailed info in game it apparently has exactly the same stats as Ninja Run with different animations.
  23. Personally i'm reserving judgment on the new Thundercats cartoon until i actually see some of it. Character designs are only part of what makes a cartoon good or bad.
  24. Zarcon-3 has the best damn mushrooms.
  25. i spent Friday and Saturday finishing and installing a new sculpture at the Hygienic Gallery, and then worked Sunday. i think i managed to fit in about two hours of playing this past weekend.
