Quote:And i think it's more likely that it won't. Still, if you want to write in your description that you're the incarnate of Phred, God of Luck, then more power to you.If the soon to be implemented Incarnate system lets you choose a deity, as I assume it will, which deity will you choose?
Just remember that when you assume it makes an *** out of you. -
Quote:My DS/Traps MM, Nyx of Gallimaufry, is an interdimensional tourist whose "flight" was diverted/misdirected/lost. She lost her luggage in the confusion, but luckily still has her carry-on handbag containing her "necessities" and "pets". She's golden skinned with a blue-green and amber outfit. Rather friendly and outgoing if a bit selfish, demented and sociopathic by Primal Earth standards. (More accurately is all too human in outlook, especially regarding creatures that are less than 'human' from her viewpoint.)I opted for a human-sized gummi bear MM. Bright shiny colors on her.
Not so much a black and red demoness/succubus. -

Quote:i almost ejected coffee through my nose.Whereas you, sir, are clearly an accomplished veteran player who understands exactly how the system works.
Now tell me the tale of Babe the Blue Ox.
OP: i can't promise to personally force myself to read your posts in their entirety, but if you have a question and post it here somebody (who most likely is not me) will take the time to translate it into something like English and answer it. That's what this section is for, after all.
Now just to repeat for the sake of clarity:
The inf you get when selling back IO's during a respec is based on what crafting the IO would cost.
Price of an IO on the market is set by what players are willing to pay and has nothing to do with what the game will give you for the IO.
If you want to get as much inf for an IO, salvage or recipe as it sells for on the market you have to sell it on the market. That rare salvage that goes for 2.5 million on the market? The game still only pays you 5,000 if you sell it at a store. Again, the market prices are set by the players and have nothing to do with what the game (anything that is not the market or another player) will pay you for something. The reverse is equally true.

Quote:i would suggest using Id Box as an alternative. The Television is correct that using such a term is likely to bring red name attention, however more often than not it will be of the octal variety rather than the much more helpful and entertaining Television. Please don't use this term to try and summon the TV.

Quote:Exactly. Which is why i said that GG especially should know that posting is a privilege that can be temporarily or permanently revoked. No, if you play, you given the privilege of posting. It's a privilege cause it can be revoked. Rights cannot be revoked. (well, some can, if you brake the law. but not all.) Privileges can.

Quote:You are still wrong. Did you read your own post? No, it is a right - everyone's entitled to an opinion - but what isn't a right is to have your opinion taken seriously
Notice that you posted nothing about the right to have an opinion. You asserted that everyone has the right to post. No. They don't.
Oh, i agree that everyone can have whatever opinion they want, no matter how ridiculous. That wasn't what i was disagreeing with. i disagreed with what you posted, not what you were thinking as you typed the post. i only had access to the former, not the latter, capisce? -

Quote:That sounds very much like my saurian Dark/Ice Defender on Champion.Champion - Weirdos. I've never gotten a good feel for the server. Everyone acts like a a bird or strange bug or something. Quick thinking, silent, alien. The tanks rule though. The others are strange twitchy reptiles.[I kid, I kid. Mostly.]
Seriously though, Champion was my main server for years. Lots of friendly, skilled players there. And some oddities as well. Especially redside.
Currently Champion and Virtue alternate somewhat randomly as my main server. Recently i've been playing on Virtue a bit more, but that's somewhat related to avoiding drama and playing redside mostly where Virtue has a much higher population. -

Closed beta for Going Rogue started a few weeks ago. At this point it's "friends and family" only, so no regular players are part of the beta yet, just people affiliated with Paragon Studios. Although i do recall a fairly recent Dev/Mod comment that said that they were starting to expand the number of people in the beta.

Oh great. It's bad enough that my Demon/Traps has attacks in the primary that do something useful, making the builds even tighter, but now you want to make Time Bomb a useful power.
...
Oh wait, Masterminds don't get stuck with Crap Bomb anyway. My non-MM Traps users wouldn't mind if it was useful either.
Well then...

Would Deathkitten mind terribly explaining how the pic in the OP lead to the thread title?
There's a huge chunk of connections missing that would bridge from the picture to the title.
i can do the same quality of reporting too: [News item] Police Chief Huggins was annoyed by a mild cough that he blamed on the Mayor's secretary sneezing during a meeting last week. [Headline] OMG THE POLICE CHIEF IS GONNA MURDER THE MAYOR'S STAFF AND EAT THE MAYOR'S BRAIN!
Severe's post was pretty funny as well. Matching his writing quality to the quality of his assertions was a nice touch. A brilliant parody of classic semi-coherent doom posts. Bravo. -

Quote:i have a soulmate for you.Was it really worth releasing i17 with this many bugs that were reported in beta just so it could be timed with the anniversary?
Sure it´s a new issue and there are things going to be broken but a lot of the stuff was known and not dealt with.
Some things were stealth added and since noone knew about them they couldn't test them.
What's up with that?
If i didn't feel an urgent need for sleep i'd cut and paste the replies that were made there in this thread for you, but i really need to go sleep, so... you'll have to go read them there. Sorry. -
Quote:Then again there's absolutely no reason to expect a "crashless nuke" would do as much or more damage than a standard nuke that has a much longer recharge time and a crash. It is lower than a level 50 minions hit points, so no, it is not higher than a regular nuke. Regular nukes do around 600 damage slotted with 3 SOs, IIRC.
And yet the question was asked anyway. Go figure. -
Quote:Odd. i unlocked Kheldians several months after they were added and i never had to have a 50 on the same server to create one on that server. There have been issues a few times where the option to create an EAT didn't appear until after you'd logged a 50 in briefly, but that still wasn't server limited. i have never seen the issue you're talking about. That is a change, I forget which issue added it. You still need one on each side, but now you don't need them on each server.
Edit: Just checked, and one of my PB's on Freedom has every anniversary badge including the first and i have never had a level 50 on Freedom. My current highest is 41 or so. -
Nope. Not even slightly. i'm also not pissed that people no longer have to hunt 10k or so Rikti Monkeys for the badge even though i had to a while back. In fact i approve.

Quote:Ooh yes, even better!
But this also means that HoB starts to recharge as soon as you click the power. Which means a few seconds of extra Recharge! Yay!
Of course many people still don't know that powers start recharging at the end of the activation time, so they won't appreciate the bonus there. -
Quote:This is pretty much my situation. No where near a high end system yet i've had few problems.I am honestly not having any issues at all, and I've been on the game for about 12 hours total since it has been released. I also do not have a high end gaming rig nor do I have the latest graphics card. My husband has not had any problems, either. The same can be said to those I was gaming with last night.
Quote:On the other hand, I can remember people saying the exact same thing about every single release since I've been playing the game (2 year vet). THIS one is the worst, THIS one is still beta condition, NEVER BEFORE has there been so many complaints. Do some forum searches, literally every single issue people say the same thing.
i've seen issue releases where zones were crashing and rolling back about 5 minutes several times an hour. (Issue 2 or 3, i think? It was quite aggravating.) Client bugs where fairly common actions and commands were punting players to desktop. Rubberbanding to the point that it could take 15 minutes to go from the Steel Canyon Green Line station to Icon. Bugs with power mechanics that made some powers almost unusable. All from issues that weren't rushed out the door for an anniversary, and with far fewer changes to the game's systems.
i'm sure the programmers are working their ***** off trying to patch all the bugs, but all issues go live with known bugs unfixed as long as they're not gamebreaking, and there's almost always a few severe bugs that crop up on live that didn't show up in the test server environment.
Unfortunately it happens, and i know some of the Devs/programmers will have a very busy few weeks ahead trying to fix them. Exercizing patience and posting error reports are the best approach in the first week or two of a new issue. i know how frustrating it can be when the game is effectively unplayable, but actively helping correct the problems is the best approach. Failing that, i suggest taking a break for a few days while things get sorted out. i've done both on occasion. -
Some powersets aren't correctly using custom colors.
My Blaster with Mental Manipulation is showing all default colors, and my Controller with Fire Control is showing mostly default colors, but the imps are still showing the purplish secondary color of the custom colors in their flame aura as a sort of partially obscured aura while mostly using default colors. -

Quote:Not to mention that WoW is a much lower system demand game. A friend sent me a trial invite last week and i tried it. Wow, things sure ran smoothly. And ugly. Low poly count cartoonish orcs and elves aren't really my thing. i mean, i knew that already, but the trial confirmed it for me.Guess which game isn't WoW? All of them except WoW.

Quote:You're also wrong in your assumption. The male tops (with skin) that are direct equivalents to the female tops with skin (Tanker, Tank Top, Tattooed Tank Top, T-Shirt and Tattooed T-Shirt) do not permit the use of a secondary pattern either. There is no direct female equivalent to the male bare chests in the game. You're wrong. You can go to Bare Chest Muscular or Smooth, then choose options for a design for the chest. On the female model, every Tops with Skin option is what you get. Theres no option to add any design to the skin. I was wanting Tiger stripes on the skin to match the male toon i had made on another account, and it don't match at all. I was wanting them to look alike and the female disappoints in that she just looks like she has on a suit, and not an actual "mutant". Whereas the male toon, actually looks like the stripes are on or in his skin.
Yes, you can add it to tights, as those are complete body suits. And a side note, you can't even make the tail (which is part of the body) the same color as your skin. It has to be from the color options from the suits.
