  1. not sure if this is related, but I've been getting a lot of mouse and keyboard input lag. Sometimes the mouse movement sticks randomly and quite often I have to double tap keys for the game to respond.

I've also noticed odd behaviour from mobs such lag warping, getting stuck below the mission map (indoor and outdoor), or inside parts of the terrain or walls - really frustrating on defeat all missions - I either have to petition or reset the mission.
  2. I hereby endorse this!

    Excellent stuff

some sets increase MAX (Decimation, Mocking Beratement & Impervium Armour to name a few)

I generally 3 slot stamina with 2x IOs and Performance shifter proc, but in some cases where I can spare the extra slots or the AT tends to be endurance heavy, I 4 slot performance shifter for the extra 2.5% set bonus; 5 slot if I want the extra dmg bonus, and I have 1 toon that actually has it 6 slotted for the def bonus as well.

Never understood why this is a separate MM attack when the Prot Bots get it as an upgrade
  10. The Prot Bot toggle in Mids has never done anything afaik, so their bubble is not counted at all into the MM's overall defence numbers. You'll find that with 2x lvl 50 Def IOs slotted into the Prot Bots, you get 11.18% a defence bonus from the 1 bubble.
  11. I'm debating whether to swap SM out for Electric Fences, as I don't tend to use SM all that much. With EF substituted into my current build it would offer up a free slot and the potential to purple out 2 powers as opposed to only 1 currently. It also gives me slightly improved endurance over all.
  12. With your Mastermind I would suggest a tankermind build setup. If done right it can become quite a monster at soloing large groups of mobs, AVs and GMs (Nemesis and Malta are a bit of a handful for pets with their nasty AoEs, but are doable).

There are a few tankermind builds in the MM forums that you might find helpful
  13. I find it best to treat it primarily as an AoE -regen/debuffer/stunner. The rez is just an added bonus for when teaming, but I don't wait for people to die to use it when I'm teaming. I use it all the time, and if someone falls just after its use, they either have to wait for the recharge or pop a wakey.

I've never had a complaint because HT is down when someone was floored. Having said that I will hold back on it if we are in a particularly dangerous situation where more than half the team gets wiped in a small area. Then I will use it to group rez team members.
  14. looks like he's busting to go.
  15. there is a similar bug with bot/dark where the summoning fluffy animation gets replaced with the upgrade pet animation. I'm not sure if this actually applies the upgrades to the bots, I'll have to check this.

    you spiked my coffee!!!
  17. wow I completely misread the OP, my apologies - coffee hadn't kicked in at the time.

Now that I have read it correctly, I think the only power that would probably benefit from having a purple set would be Fear.

As Resistance and Defence get capped so easily, having a purple set would be kind of pointless imo. For example there would be no need to 5 slot defence for the 10% rech when 1 LOTG can do just as well, and there are quite a few decent set bonuses on both def & res sets that are close to what a purple set would offer.

Heal has its own very rare set anyway - Panacea.
  18. already in game. They're called Purples, and there is no need for extra defence/resistance, we have plenty as is.
  19. You got hit with 15 bullet pointed paragraphs of Report damage! Underlined!

You forget the 500% regen debuff from /Dark's Howling Twilight, the -res from Tar Patch which can be stacked too with a decent amount of recharge.

While /Traps does have an easier time of softcapping defences, /Dark relies on its -tohit and -dmg debuffs which means it's not acuatally necessary to softcap defences. Running Darkest Night, Dark Servant, and spamming Fearsome Stare (slotted for -tohit) and Twilight Grasp act as a decent +def bonus to the MM and his/her pets.

Still, /Traps is considered a better GM/AV killer than /Dark and I won't dispute that.

Oh it's not a holiday thing, I've been having the exact same problems as Sam on both my work an home PCs for the last month or so, and I'm in the UK. Some days its ok but other days its just unbearable.

EDIT: just read your post Tony and yes the worst times I get it is when I'm at work, which is behind a proxy. But I have certainly experienced quite a few times it at home too.

These are the macros I use:

    petcom_all follow defensive
    petcom_all goto defensive
    petcom_all attack defensive
    petcom_all follow passive

As for the Alpha Slot, I use Musclature Core when doing fast /x8 farm missions - adds to pet damage and therefore melts spawns faster, and Cardiac Radial when doing AV/GMs - stops endurance drain on self and pets during very long fights. I haven't tried Spiritual yet, but I'm sure it will not boost pet summon recharge as it is not available as an SO/IO option.
  24. heh, that's my old i17 build.

It was quite good at soloing the odd GM here and there, and could easily take on +1/x8 missions. As for AV/GM strategy, it was all about being in bodyguard mode, setting provoke on auto hit, spamming goto/defensive to get pets out of AoE range (now requires even more spamming thx to the screwy AI), and then just making sure your debuffs hit.

I've drastically improved things since inherent fitness and my i19 build looks like this:

  25. Don't slot any heals as this does more harm than good tbh

They need some amount of end redux in there too or they'll floor their endurance pretty rapidly during long fights.
