A nice quick bugfix. I am truly inspired.

Before color customization, I made an Earth/Rad Controller who is a plant. Not a Plant Controller, mind you. She IS a plant, a tree actually, using green-tinted "plant pheromones" and "forest energy" (Rad) and heaving the earth itself with her roots (Earth control).

I always liked Propel even before they significantly improved it...and improve it they did:
- Added a bonus mechanic to player versions of Lift and Propel. These powers now deal a small amount of additional damage, called "Impact!", to targets recently held by any player's Gravity Distortion power.
- Reduced the cast time of Propel from 3.5 seconds down to 2.07 seconds.
- Quickened the projectile speed of Propel.
- The portal and random objects in Gravity Control - Propel now spawn in front of the caster, instead of directly at their feet.
- Color-customized Propel projectiles now properly synchronize with the power's in-game effects.
Therefore I conclude it's time I made a Gravity Controller.
The question is, what to pair with it? I have an older Grav/Storm on hiatus at level 12 that I could pick up, but I also want to make a new dark/ Controller, and Local Man made a pretty compelling case for dark/Storm here.
So perhaps I should seek variety. What else would folks recommend to pair with Gravity? The Controller should be capable of soloing, although also teaming. Strictly PVE. -
Quote:I was going to ask for opinions on Dark/Storm vs [new] Grav/Storm, but I think you've answered here. :PThe one build I would really like to make is Dark/Storm . . . except for the fact that I already have five */Storm controllers at Incarnate levels, and by playing Dark/Dark I get to try both new powersets. I think that there could be some really great synergy between the Dark Control and Storm Summoning sets.

This occurred to me when Brawling. Brawl alternates the right and left fist, and if you have a shield, sometimes a shield bash or kick. I'm not sure whether it's random or strictly alternating.
Anyway, it seems like this tech could be used for sets that have more than one animation (at this point I think it's a maximum of two animations, X or Y, but some day there may be more). I'd like to see an additional option for each power in the customization screen:
- Original Animation
- Alternate Animation
- Variable Animation
If you opt for that setting, sometimes your Super Strength character would Foot Stomp and sometimes he'd use the alternate Ground Punch animation.
I know the Standard Code rule applies, but this doesn't appear to be very different from the choices we have now.
This seems most workable with animations, because the range of choices is pretty limited. might work better than random colors. I leave it to the reader whether a variable color scheme for custom colored powers would be too resource intensive (I can imagine that reporting new colors each time to all players within view might strain the server). -
Note that, once you have hidden the two icons (Paragon Market and Paragon Rewards), you can still access either screen easily enough -- they're at the bottom of the list that pops up when you use the backslash command (\). So you can get to them quickly even after hiding them -- no need to worry about losing track of how to get there when you want to. Hide away!

Quote:That's pretty much they way I'm going, although I'll pick up Distortion Field in the early 20s, as I decided to shoehorn Recall Friend in alongside Superior Invis early to facilitate stealthing missions for teams when exemplared.Haven't played that combo before(played both with other sets) but looking at possibilities in MIDs, you could have both by 20. Flash and Group Invisibility are pretty much skip-able, so it leaves you fairly open on abilities.
I use ninja run for travel, so I'd toss hasten in at 14 to bring PA back up as soon as possible.
Quote:For Information on Illusion, I suggest you take a look at my Illusion/Rad guide, linked in my sig below.
I've discovered I like the visual effect of TS. It's pretty cute...and quick-animating. -

Well, I could be misremembering the bonus damage, although I feel like I've seen it on this character. I'm guessing that, if I picked the rewards in the wrong order (THANKS NEW E-MAIL REWARD SYSTEM!!!) I can't undo it?
-
I have a magic-origin Controller at 21 running through Talos Island and my Blackwand isn't doing the bonus damage for my origin. I can't recall when it stopped but I remember it working earlier in this character's career. Could it be the types of enemies I'm facing -- Warriors and Freakshow? Or is something buggy?

Not very experienced with Illusion Controllers and a complete newbie to /Time.
Just hit 20, trying to decide between Time Stop, for another ST hold (albeit on a longish timer) or Distortion Field. Any opinions welcomed. -
I sure would love to do business with these people in real life.

Excellent! Woo-hoo! *wolf whistle* Bark, bark bark! Owoooooo!

Quote:I'm digging this (and the Ozymandias and Shakespeare riffs especially!) but I would have ended with'Forward, the Light Brigade!'
Was there a man dismay'd ?
Not tho' the artist knew
Some one had blunder'd:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do & die,
Into the bare smooth crotch
Rode the six hundred.
"Theirs not to reason why,
Staring between the thighs,
Into the bare smooth crotch
At eight-by-six-hundred." -
Fixing the Hami-Os was a solid idea and I don't mind it.

Just last night a teammate commented, "This game isn't troubled by a LACK of sound effects."

Quote:I, for one, believe that. There are entire ATs who would be less durable with all their powers than you would be with Rooted by itself. But if you belive that I can massively improve my build by taking Rooted
Quote:I loathe the power and prefer to be a little swifter in my movement. And it won't help you jump over curbs. But it might be more playable.
It's also possible to build for "defense-out-of-Granite" AND some run speed. And...uh...that's about it -- I haven't been able to also add in lots of pool attacks, Hasten, Burnout, damage bonuses, and stuff like that. There's only so many slots.
If you want, I will try to remember to dig out the build I used and post it here, but it'll have to wait until I get home tonight. If you're a Stone/ fan, you've learned patience, right? -
Heroside, outside of the Shadow Shard, I was going to say, someone in Independence Pooooooooooooooooort. But i think it's more accurate to say everyone in Independence Pooooooooooooooooort.

Question, assuming it's even possible to determine the answer: is this one of those bugs that only affects characters we log into? Or has it already affected all our characters?
Because re-setting-up my Combat Attributes windows on each character is tedious and requires me to reconstruct from memory which ones I am monitoring on each character, and if staying away from my mains until they fix the bug would save me from having to do it on those characters, I will consider doing so. -
I'm just going to assume it had something to do with Lord Nemesis.

Claws/WP Scrapper. Scrapper Claws (unlike Brute) has super-fast recharge already.

Safe? I'd settle for getting rid of the impenetrable woods. Raze the Maze!
