Quote:I was wondering about that.Well, as Rogues/Vigilantes can access both sides, it's been said they can be used like "gun runners" to carry phat lewt from one side to the other.
Even if WW & BM remain distinctive and your player can only visit one type, what's to stop him from buying a purple recipe in WW carrying it to a villain friend and giving it to them? Or buying a luck charm for cheaper prices in BM and giving it to your mid-20's hero friend, saving them thousands?
There's been some chatter about INF too. Even in the worse case scenario, where you'd lose influence/infamy switching sides (in which case I'd think you'd have access to the other consignment shop), Why not buy up purple recipies and work with a group mate to move them over to sell for profit eventually restoring currency? -
Yeah, but then we'd have a bunch of knock-offs running around calling themselves xXxCasey JonesXxX. (of Ninja Turtles fame)

Quote:Note the last bullet point below:Yeah, it's pretty...But I want to see some hardware requirements. As it stands I'm having enough trouble running some of the newer stuff in CoX...And I'm really starting to feel like my PC is not gonna be able to handle GR.
Quote:Graphical Update- Ultra-graphics mode: toggle for better graphics
- Imperfections of glass
- Realistic environmental +character reflections
- Realistic shadows that change with time of day
- Reflective Water
- Water reflection distorts shadow
- Costume is reflective
- I'm going to assume that everything is reflective
- Minimum specs for the game won't change, and you can run Going Rogue without Ultra mode, but you can turn on Ultra mode with high-end video cards

Isn't he hanging around under that big pink innertube in Faultline?
I wondered if Malaise/Jean-Pierre Lourdin might be French Canadian, but the wiki indicates his crime spree started in Europe. Still, it doesn't say he's European, just that his activities started there. -
Wait, sooo... zombies kill it for you, therefore you're resubscribing permanently to a game where a high percentage of the story and play revolve around an empire of zombies and a playable race of the undead? and, I might add, whose own zombie event had to be turned off last year because it destroyed any chance to play the standard game anywhere at any time, including sideline things like public transport, auction house, and crafting/training?
Here, a zombie event lasts, what, maybe 15 minutes? and in only one or two zones at a time. In CoH, when the zombies come 'round and you don't like them: do an instanced mission, change zones, go to the safety of the tailor to work on that uber-look, buy/sell in Wentworths/Black Market, craft at the university. In a few minutes it will all be over and you can street fight again in better threads, richer, and with more power.
CoH zombies are not my favorite event (though I've done enough for the badges), so I usually do these activities to good benefit.
Sorry, but you should clarify why a brief zombie event here is "making for me, the game unplayable". Just saying "zombies" over and over without detailing the reason doesn't cut it in light of your other game choice.
Not trying to do a real comparison between games, just trying to understand in context of the "zombie" situation.
I do commend you for speaking to the good points that you liked, it is much easier to simply blast and leave. So kudos on that. And I wish you well in your return to what appeals to you. -
"Heat Attack At 50" would have made a better title.
And gratz! -

Slimey, yet satisfying. -

used to play with 3 others from my area, but they've all migrated to the big MMO. I was there, I'm back here.
I run into several who used to play or whose spouses used to play, etc. I've not found any current local players, but the game still sells at the local Best Buy, so I'm guessing they are around.
I have been mildly amused at folks' reactions when I say I play an MMO. Particularly those who have endured their relatives playing the fantasy MMOs. You can tell they brace for a lengthy description of some uber dwarf of elf I'm playing, but they seem genuinely surprised and interested when I say I play a superhero. I still think a little TV advertising might make these interested parties better aware of what we have to offer. -
Quote:This.Want to get cash fast and easy? Here's what I do:
1) Have a look at the Recipe Level/Divider chart on ParagonWiki's Common Invention Recipes page. If you divide a Common IO's crafting price by the appropriate divider, you get the amount of Influence an NPC vendor will give you for that Recipe.
2) Hit Wentworth's or the Black Market and look at what Common IO recipes are selling for over there. You want to find Recipes with plenty for sale and showing a sell price history well below what an NPC will give you for them. This is easier than it sounds, because people are silly and slap Recipes on the market for whatever amount instead of checking what they're worth. Especially look at Recipes which relatively few people use, like Confuse Duration and Range Increase. You can usually skip Accuracy Recipes.
3) Set up buy orders for as many underpriced Recipes as you have Influence and/or market slots for. Go for it! So long as you're bidding less than an NPC pays, you're good.
4) Go. Play. Have fun. This is the part where you wait, except you're not really waiting, because you don't have to be right there at the Consignment House. Beat up some enemies, enter a costume contest, log off and do something else, whatever!
5) Come back after some time. Sometimes you'll buy a huge stash of Recipes in a matter of minutes, other times you'll have to wait overnight. For this step, I recommend going to a Consignment House very close to an NPC that buys Recipes. Grab as many Recipes as you can carry and sell 'em to said NPC. Repeat until you've sold all the Recipes you just bought. Then, place bids on more Recipes.
This method isn't going to generate massive amounts of money, but it'll easily get you enough to SO out a character, and it takes minimal time and effort. I've got characters in the teens that have generated millions of Influence through this system.
And you don't even have to go to the market forum to figure it out.
My starting characters always run this and have the best luck starting with lvl 35 common recipies, eventually shooting for lvl 40 and 45 recipies. I'm often decked out with IO's at level 12, and still have a fast-growing bank account. By the time buying/selling at these levels ceases to be helpful, I'm already at a level where making mission cash is easy. -
A couple of attempts using the variables you suggested. These should at least get your creative juices flowing:
By the way, it may help others, if we knew other things like:
which frame will he be using: standard male or huge?
what costume extras do you have? Do you have any of the micro-transaction sets (science, magic, etc.)? -
akkk, ran right into the server down time when I went to create.

I'd definitely see Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart as a companion. He was very much a main character with Doc #3 and popped in from time to time for long after.
But are you only counting the age at start of companionship? 'Cause Sara Jane is still around. -
-
You forgot to add rules requiring that I must focus on your SG/VG (where I have a single character I only occasionally play) and that I drop everything to come provide you with a team for the evening even if I'm working another character on another server.
Other than that, brilliant! -
what's the gun used in that first one? Is it a Malta sapper gun?

Wonderin' what a graphics upgrade will do to notorious lag, particularly events like Ritki invasions.
I'd like to see Paragon City look more colorful. Not an easter egg in color, mind you, but something not so gray stone drab. Particularly in Kings Row. I know its low-rent and all, but a few more brownstones with window flowerpots couldn't hurt.
I'd also like to see the conversion of a few rarely entered spots of the city to ethnic neighborhoods, to create more of a draw to those points. Like say, a Little Asia (they're Hmung, right?) for the Tsoo, and a Little Italy for the Family in one of the dead spots in Independence Point. Bonus points if they get their own ethnic music and animations in the sections. -
But perhaps too obscure. Those who play the game know the symbol, but those who should be playing the game might not. Had I not played the game, I might have thought it something like an alternate graphic for Capt. America's shield.
Still, I can see it as a reminder to those who have stopped playing the game, that its still there, and ready for their return. -
He's waiting for the "autopsy" technician to show, then will blow up. Take out the guy capable of learning the truth. Two birds, one stone.

Quote:The Five, as I recall, was the 25th anniversary special, and delved much more deeply into the background of Time Lords. The Two and The Three were already mentioned although no one noted The Five.
Edit:
Curious about this doctor crossover thing, when they meet, do they recognize clearly they are talking to themselves?
In contrast to Great Beyond's brilliant spoiler, the good Doctor apparently does not immediately recognize a future self, only a past self. From what I remember, often the future Doctor announces to the past Doctor who he is. But there is an episode out there, I'll not say which to keep from full-on spoils, but there is one where the doctor (current to the episode) believes he may be seeing a future self, but is not immediately certain. -
Quote:Do you mean a "Boss" boss (a group ranked as Field Tactical Commanders), or an "AV" boss (1 named Field Tactical Commander)? Currently, there are only 2 named AV's (I believe), and despite how annoying Captain Castille is, I must admit he's, well, colorful. Duray's got a spot of color too. And that's sadly lacking in the Raiders as a whole. Everyone is aqua and silver, which is really great for highlighting their 1940's serial movie villain appearance, but really dull eye candy for repetitious in-game encounters. Having another colorful AV would be nice. Or department color-coordinated jump suits. Black pants, nice bright red targetable shirts, that sort of thing.I like the idea of having a new, human boss for the Sky Raiders, though. A Field Tactical Commander, personally promoted by Duray himself because of their aptitude in the unique field of aerial infantry combat and tactics. Or something.
I'd also go for either more classes in their ranks, or more exciting animation from some, such as several have suggested here with the jump bots.
Which brings up another question: with the current engine, can NPC's cling to walls? ceilings? 'Cause jump bots would be a whole new level of scary fun if they could scale walls and cling to ceilings while attacking, like some mechanical bug. -
There are several groups out there who have both a supergroup and a villain group. I'd see that as a great and easy solution to most of the problem. Just transition from your unit's SG to its VG, or vice versa. If they don't have the other, they probably soon will.
