Targeting Change

Sure I can use Alt+Tab to target nearest enemy but when I'm needing to move into position to attack the next enemy on a melee character, using my pinky finger to hit Tab is quicker and easier and prevents me from having to take my hand off the movement keys so I can keep moving.
By default, Tab targets the closest enemy that is further away than the current target. If you've just defeated a foe, and tab to the next target, you'll probably get something further away.

My solution was to bind a key beside my movement keys to target_enemy_near which targets the nearest enemy.

If you don't want to rebind keys, your best options are:
-Hit escape, then tab. Hitting tab with no target will target the nearest enemy.
-Hit an attack key instead of Tab. Pressing an attack when nothing is selected or when a dead enemy is selected will target the nearest enemy. This method won't help much if you regularly target allies (Defenders, and other buffers/healers) because hitting an attack with an ally targetet will make you try to attack their target.
2. *Poof!* Your forum account is deleted.

If that didn't work, then nobody here can help you. This is a PLAYER forum, for Players helping Players.

I don't believe forum accounts get deleted, just as game accounts don't. You could get banned, I suppose, but that's a one-way street - once banned, there's no way to get unbanned afterward.
If you insist on getting your account deleted, you could try sending a PM to Zwillinger, but there's no guarantee that will work, and he takes forever to reply, because his Inbox is constantly overflowing.

A better solution would be to just stop visiting the forums. Delete your bookmark if you have one, and pretend they don't exist. If you don't have the willpower to stop, get a net-nanny program and block the forums.

EDIT: Thanks to that glitch that makes the forums get confused about account status, your name was gold before you posted, and white after. :/
If you are Premium, you can't send PMs, so you can't contact Zwill. In this case, your only real recourse is to go to the support site and put in a support ticket making your request. I really don't think anything will be done though.

If not is there any way apart from the pool power Invisibility I can boost the Cloak effect?

Thanks
Combining Cloak of Darkness with Super Speed WILL give you full invisibility. So will Cloak + a Stealth IO. However, if you aggro an enemy, they will become aware of you and attack. If you plan on using invisibility to slip past things, make sure to turn off Dark Embrace, Cloak of Fear and Oppressive Gloom, or you WILL aggro things you get close to.
6. There's three I see on a regular basis:

-I live two blocks away from Paragon Prarmacy.
-On my way to work, I pass Wentworth's every day. Bonus points: They're a consignment store! (They sell musical instruments)
-Every morning, the GFS truck drives by. No matter how many times I see the small print reading "General Food Services", I still read it as "Greater Fire Sword".

Correct. There are two ways that "Doesn't stack" powers can be coded. Some delete the old copy and replace it with a new one - most self buffing toggles work this way. If you look at those in City of Data, they ofter say things like "+10% Defense for 10.25s" even though they pulse every 10s. That's because if both were set to 10s, it would sometimes wear off before it reapplied (I think this was due to connection latency).

The other way is something I've occasionally seen called "Vengeance Mode", likely because Veng was the first power that players could easily see this happening with. In this case, the power blocks reapplications for its duration. In this case, the buff or debuff CANNOT be reapplied until after the previous buff or debuff has worn off. The Achilles Heel proc, the -Res PVP Proc, and the Force Feedback: +100% Rech proc all use this mechanic.

I would say it depends on where you're slotting it whether or not it's worthwhile.

If you've got it in a T1 Katana attack with recharge so high you can use it every 0.8s, and you're using it against a single enemy, then it's going to be in effect pretty much as often as it CAN be, so adding more procs wouldn't help much.

If you're putting it in AoEs to soften up groups, then it will be far more useful to have multiples, because it's likely to proc on different targets with each attack. Also, AoEs typically have longer recharge, so it will be harder to keep it constantly in effect with only one proc.

They don't give rewards AT ALL, which means if a small group of low levels goes in, they'll be hard-pressed to succeed, because they'll have a tiny inspiration tray, they'll desperately need it, and it won't refill.
11. Baryonyx's comment about Incarnate Trials isn't necessarily applicable here.

I know that I once soloed a run of the Syndicate Zone Event with a character in that zone's level range (10-15). As I was fighting the last enemy in the second to last objective, a group of three level 50s showed up, demolished the group I was fighting, and hopped up the stairs. By the time I got upstairs, the boss was already spawned, and before I could target him, the event was over. Like you, I got the short table. I complained in the server's badge channel, and someone piped up saying that they were one of those people, and they all got the badge.

I don't know how "participation" works, and the devs won't say, because they don't want people gaming the system. They claim that buffing is supposed to be just as important as attacking, and that damage and kills are not counted. But in general, far more attacks are used in any fight than buffs. All I can suggest is that the next time you try, use all your buffs every time they come up, while using your attacks as well.

Granite is a member of several groups s Run, Jump, and Fly, but not Stealth. But Costume powers are exclusive with Granite too. Why? Because they, like the Nova and Dwarf powers, are also part of the Transform group. There's your evidence.
Even if that weren't the case, it's not terribly difficult to define a new variable and add new exclusivity code to a group of powers; they've done it before.

Quote:
But supposing it wasn't done to save time. Supposing it was intentional to specifically lockout toggle stealth powers other than Hide, which is still useable. And supposing it is as easy to fix as you claim it to be, which I'd be delighted to find true but highly doubt-
It is. See above. Remove the Stealth group and they're still part of the Transform group (something I'd forgotten in my earlier posts).

Quote:
Why?
I've asked the same thing about other powers and how they've worked before. Sometimes I've figured it out, sometimes someone else explained, sometimes I've had to be satisfied with "Because the devs say so. They have their reason, even if it doesn't make sense to you."

Quote:
As you are evidently against what you believe to be a simple fix being modified, what purpose does it serve?

Or if you believe they should but they won't, why not? Do they have nothing to gain?
I have no dog in this race. It makes no difference to me if it changes or not.

My statement isn't that it should or shouldn't be done, but that thhe devs have already decided that it shouldn't. I have no idea why. And you're right: Sometimes the devs do reverse their decisions, and change things that they have previously said "This is working the way we want it to."

On the other hand, if I am wrong, and there actually is some technical limitation to splitting the costumes into a different group, then I am against this change. The return would be fairly minimal, and if it's going to take a significant amount of time and resources that would have to be redirected from other projects, then I would rather those resources stayed with their original projects, than to make a change that an insignificant* portion of the playerbase would even notice.

*That's mathematically insignificant, not a rating of the worth of that segment of the playerbase.

And it's not lke the power sets are put on the beta test server before going live so VIP's can check them out before buying them.

Oh wait the devs do both of those things . . . nevermind.
I think that the complaint isn't that they have to save up the stipend for two months, but that they have to use the stipend at all. Many of the ones I've seen defiantly state that they've never purchased a single Paragon Point, and that it's insulting that the devs are trying to force them to buy points to get the power sets.

I wonder if these people are spending their points every month as soon as they get them, thinking that they'll expire if not spent before the next month.

Warshades, Peacebringers, Arachnos Soldiers, and Arachnos Widows are all free to VIPs, and Purchase-Only for Premiums. There is no free way to unlock them; the people - myself included - who got them unlocked for free during the transition to Freedom are the lucky beneficiaries of a bug. There's no way to tell for sure why some got the unlocks and others didn't, but it was never intended.

This is correct, but...

VIP still have access to them, but I believe for a new VIP they just simply need to get a single character to level 20 to unlock the ATs permanently.
This is not. Getting to level 20 is not a permanent unlock. Should a VIP unlock EATs, then drop to Premium, the EATs will remain locked until paid for, or until the account returns to VIP status. Of course, if you pay for the EATs, you keep them, even if you resubscribe, then become Premium again; you don't need to re-purchase them each time you unsubscribe.

Quote:
Not sure if it's needed to have a separate level 20 hero to unlock the hero epics and a level 20 villain to unlock the villain epic ATs though.
It is. Getting a Hero to 20 unlocks Warshades and Peacebringers, getting a Villain to 20 unlocks Arachnos Soldiers and Widows. Gettiing a Praetorian to 20 unlocks nothing, regardless of the faction you choose*.

*There are theories that there's a new EAT coming up, and that it will be unlocked by levelling a Praetorian, but the only evidence is some data that players found by doing things they aren't supposed to, so we won't discuss that here.
Stealth IOs, anyone around you with an group stealth power, costume clad Illusionists can even cast Group Invisibility to stealth themselves.

The limitation in place currently is purely mechanical, imposed when the costumes weren't really a big enough deal to spend the extra time on. As something that can be purchased now, does this now make it worth investing whatever period of time it would take to resolve this issue? More specifically, what would that period of time be, and how many more costumes will be purchasable in the future to be affected by this?
Yes, you can get extra stealth from outside sources and Stealth IOs, or even from Hide. It IS by design, because they devs set it to be exclusive with Stealth toggles - this isn't something that could just happen "by accident". The period of time to change it would be however long it takes to load each power, change a single flag, and save the power - likely a matter of minutes. They've removed other powers from groups before, and they could do it again. As I said above, it hasn't been changed because the devs don't want to, not because there's some "issue" to overcome.

How easy that would be to do? I have no idea. It would make them more attractive options on the market, though (Whenever they come back again, that is).
How easy? Pure simplicity. They're mutually exclusive because they both belong to the same group (Stealth, in this case). You can only ever have one power active of any given group (Combat Jumping, Super Jump, Ninja Run, Rooted and Granite are all in the Jump group. Turning any of them on shuts off any of the others you have active. Hover and Fly are in the Flight group, and are mutually exclusive, and so on). To make it so that you can use both at the same time, all they'd have to do is remove the Stealth flag from the costume powers.

The costumes HAVE to have a group. Otherwise, you could activate them all at the same time. Who knows what result that might have. I suspect that they are in the Stealth group simply because the first enemy transform power (the Arachnos disguise from the Faultline arcs) actually was a Stealth power, and the new ones were kept in that group for consistency. There may be other reasons, I don't know.

Regardless of the reason why, the costume codes aren't exclusive with stealth because of a software limitation; it's a design choice. So as Forbin says, it's not that likely to change.

Bio Armor

There's a new Mids' update with Bio Armor in it. The numbers are at least one patch old, so they're not perfect, but it's a place to start.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around these lines though. I'm having no success trying to reconcile them with each other.

No. Negative Taunt would do nothing, according to how Castle explained the aggro list. Placates just take you off an enemy's aggro list, and prevent you from getting put back onto it until the Placate ends, or you do something to break the Placate (ending it early).
