You say as if you weren't the one who put it together for me.

You should be able to use the CoH Splasher to replace the Costume Creator screen. (It'll also replace your character select screen IIRC.)

Failing that, you could try lightening your background with the buttons on the left/right of your Zoom button on the default creator.

If all you're getting though is a blank black field, I don't think that had anything to do with your contract or brightness settings. I have that problem, but I have no idea what causes it.

Here's a few images from a base I built right after Issue 13 and change to stacking/overlaping items, which shows a few ways I've covered doors.

(Notes: Images were from very early in the base design, as you can probably tell by there only beign 1 room mostly done. And the room lighting would normally be a much darker blue, but had to be lightened to show detail in screenshots.)



Where the actual building structure contacts the doorways I just built a wall to conceal the opening, and included smaller "doors" within that wall.



On the other side I actually constructed a rocky slope (mountain) to cover the entire doorway, leaving a "tunnel" which allowed access to the rooms beyond it.




I've used a lot of things to cover doorways in various designs, sometimes it's only a few items, sometimes, well.... it ends up looking like the screenies above.

I have a tendancy to build structures within the actual rooms of the base, and include a "simulated outdoor area" so often I end up employing a wall of some sort over the doorways, so that there's not just a big gap for no reason.

Well, my original plan was for a Traps/DP Defender who worked for the ParagonPD, but (unless there are alternate animations) the animations for the set are entirely too flashy for a Police Officer to be using.

So I'll switch over to a Steampunk themed Praetorian fighting for the Resistance (hopefully we get some decent old-fashioned guns). Either a DP/* Corruptor (who will become a hero) or a DP/* Blaster (who will be a Vigilante).

I'd like them to add generic APPs to villain side, and MPPs* (Mentor Power Pools) to hero side. That way Villains get access to unrestricted pools and heroes get access to themed pools.

Doing it this way means that Rogues/Vigilantes can get access to their AT specific APPs no matter what side they're on, and MPPs/PPPs can be unlocked for your AT based on whatever side you do it for.

Each Patron would of course need to have hero AT specific pools created for them, just as Signature Heroes would need AT specific pools made for all (non-kheldians) ATs.

(While on that topic, can we get APPs(or MPPs) for Kheldians please? Veats have just as many powers as Kheldians, aren't restricted from the Fly or Teleport pools, and still get Patrons.)

*It's not uncommon for Established Superheroes to take a young up-n-comer under their wing, and it would fit for Redeemed villains as an upstanding, well respected Hero saying "Hey, it's cool. He/she's with me."

My thoughts:

Force Bolt: No issue with the proposed change.

Detention Field: Even with the change proposed, It'll still be a skipped power. You'll find yourself in one of two situations most of the time:

The power is still offensively useless against single targets (such as Archvillains) because any amount of -resist it actually applies to the AV is negated by the fact that now you can't deal damage to it, allowing it to regenerate it's hitpoint unhindered for the next 30seconds).

Against groups you get into a situation where you're speeding up defeating all the mobs but one, then forced to wait longer to kill that last guy than it would have taken to defeat ALLL of them if you HADN'T used the power.

Repulsion Field: Unfortunately the change you proposed breaks the "Cottage Rule" so regardless of if I liked it or not it will not happen.

I shamefully admit that I didn't get it at first.

I have a Council Ascendant costume for my Dark/Shield scrapper.



It's of course not quite right, but that's about as close as I could get it and be happy with the way it looked.

Prettysure FA's been 0.78eps for a long time.

I don't belive the end cost was ever modified when the ToHit buff was altered.

Frankly at this point there's no reason to take FA over Tactics, unless there's no possible way to fit Maneuvers or Assault into your build to unlock it.

I'd just give myself the I Win Button and call it good.
