Step 1: Make a Brute.
Step 2: SMASH!
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit
Ok, I do have a question. I play a SS/Invul Brute, but I've never gotten my fury bar 100% full. I've gotten close, but never full. Does anything happen when you hit 100%? Like big SMASH! letters above the damage like Critical or Domination? -
Coup d'etat!!!
Violent uprising!!
REVOLUTION!!!
We cannot let this tyranny stand any longer!! -

Two possibilities not knowing your particulars:
1. Debt makes you rich. If you have not died as many times as you did in CoH, you will have less inf.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is true.
And since you can't get debt until level 10, that's 5 more levels where there's no debt.
Many of us are used to going through the low levels when you could start getting debt at level 5 and we did and that meant that it took about twice as long to get from 5 to 10 as it does now. And that means that essentially we have half as much influence as we did then.
Just something to think about. -
My wife and I both play.
We almost always team together, although we've very rarely made characters that specifically reference each other, or are designed to go together. Mainly we each build our own character and if they work well then that's great. -
Recluse to Ghost Widow: "Woman! Get in that kitchen and make me a sammich!!"
Or at least he wouldn't say that and live to see tomorrow -

I don't think I belong here.

I find that as I level more and more it gets harder not to AS those lone bosses you see outside on your way to your missions. I guess this would be a kin to the whole brutes got to smash everything in site thing. I think 1 shotting a boss outside of a mission is like greatest rush to me. The sad part about it is I know that if I miss this hit and try to scrap I know I am good as dead but yet I still AS anyways.
[/ QUOTE ]
I do this all the time. If I miss, I hightail it out of there. What can I say? I'm an opportunist.
[/ QUOTE ]
Definately.
As soon as I got my AS and especially now with build up, I'll take anything that just standing around down on my way.
Actually, sometimes I feel kind of bad about it because I just whacked a Mob guy beating some "protection" money out of a civilian and I think, "Hey, this guy wasn't in my way. Why'd I go and take him out?" It's a lot harder for me to justify taking out random guys on the street (that aren't Longbow, Cops, or Snakes) because they're just villains like me trying to make it in the world. Not like in CoH where everyone you can attack is an enemy that is harming some innocent.
[/ QUOTE ]Do it because you're evil, and everything that isn't you is prey.
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe I'm just too good spirited to be a villain
I guess I shouldn't worry too much, since when I'm actually assassinating someone I feel fine, but when I see my victim's vistim running off I feel a pang of guilt. Maybe it had more to do with me not being able to prevent the "witness" from getting away than anything else. -

I'll give you a hint.
If you think you can guess where the Avatar comes from without the hint then don't click on this link.
THE HINT
That places the item in my avatar in context.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm, well I've never seen that anime.
*adds another anime to my extensive list of ones I need to watch*
So much anime, so little time. -

I have changed my avatar to something more appropriate. Some will understand and some won't.
Do you have a holloween avatar?
[/ QUOTE ]
It looks really familiar, but I can't place it.
I don't have a new avatar, since I'm stuck at work and don't have time to make something creative, but I did change my username for the occasion. -
Man I really wish I could have seen one of them. My mercenaries of doom would have put some serious hurt on Posi.
All I saw was that dumb Fergus guy -
I will agree.
There are some costume pieces that don't make sense for heroes, like chains, skull heads, zombie skin, and the like, but there are some very nice hats, coats, patterns, and masks that would fit in with the heroes.
Plus we'd finally get the fishnet stockings that are blatantly displayed on the box cover. -

Supergroup options update (bases themselves will require CoV),

They do? Howzat work? Only CoH/CoV subscibers can enter the base? Only CoH/CoV subscibers can make a base?

CoV --> CoH QoL? And the introduction of CoV, of course. Seems like a ripoff to me, I love getting new content.
[/ QUOTE ]
Some of that QoL (that better be coming to CoH) is newspaper missions. I.e. a never-ending supply of missions for any of your characters. I'd say thats some pretty sweet content.
[/ QUOTE ]
I really hope they add the newspapers to CoH, since it's something many people have been asking for. I don't know if it will come in I6, but it would be very nice. -
.....riiiiiiiiiiiiigt..........
I think it's time to lay off the crazy juice for a while. -
Ok, I got a reply from Statesman.
He said that if a team does at least 25% of the damage to the monster they will get credit, so if 4 teams do exactly 25% of the damage all 4 of them will get the badge.
Thought I'd let you know. -
I do what I can.
And actually Geko doesn't accept PMs, so I just PMed States and Posi. -
Ok, I've PMed Statesman, Positron and Geko about this. Hopefully they'll be albe to straighten it all out.
-
Hmmmm, there's definately differences in the responses here.
The Peacebringer example can easily be attributed to him not doing the minimum required damage to the Monster. But Catwhoorg's post and reiella's posts are in direct conflict.
Catwhoorg, when did this person do this experiment and on what monster?
It would be really great if there was a definate answer to this. -

Since the badge system doesn't award everyone who fights with a badge, only the person or team that does the most damage, which makes fighting Jack and others an every man for himself deal, unlike Luska and the Paladin construction,
[/ QUOTE ]
Where do people get this stuff?
The only things that do not award a badge to everyone are regular monsters like the Synapse Task Force version of Babbage. Otherwise all giant monsters will give badges to everyone who paticipates as long as they do damage, or are on a damage dealing team.
[/ QUOTE ]
The rules of the game have changed my friend.
Only the Paladin construction event and Luska are 'All comers paid' zone-events now.
Jack in Irons, Eochai, Kraken, Babbage, Jurassik, Adamastor are all "Damage Dealt gets the Goodies" badges.
And I suppose Sally could be considered the same, but she's weird and odd.
Although, umm, you are teaming to get the badge, regardless of if you accept a team invite or not. Unless you propose that you could have solo'd Jack in Irons. Then you were working with those other heroes to take him down.
And if you actually could solo Jack in Irons since the WL Giant Monster patch, your build needs to be readjusted, because something there is fruity.
[/ QUOTE ]
When did they change this? Is there an official post on the matter?
I don't disagree that you should have a team to do these, but what if more than 8 people want to help with a giant monster? Do the extras get screwed if they don't do the most damage?
I definately think that these monsters should give the badge if your team does at least 20 or so percent of the damage. That way everyone is happy and they could possibly put in bigger giant monsters like Lusca, but ones that don't have multiple parts to beat on.
