Yep. The devs were coming in to show off the new BM and WW stuff, the costumes you could get from recipes and Boom, one day there she was. The bm and ww were still months off. After that I never saw Ghost Widow again.

It is nice to just see you all give a flying flip. Long ago Ghost Widow came in game and did a mission with the team I was on. Long before the Black Market and Wentworths. She popped in and gave me the rocket boots to check out and some other costume piece to another toon on the team. Then my team and her did a mission. I will NEVER forget that. It is what made the game "cool" for me back then. It was my very first toon, Venetian and she told me that she liked my toon and it's costume. I will Never forget that either. For days I was playing just to catch another glimpse of Ghost Widow, but I never saw her again.

Just pop in game and do a mission with us. : D You have done it before when the game was ALIVE! Stand apart and keep it up. : D
  4. This question got me thinking. With all the AE tweaks and reward adjustments can an ae mission made before all these tweaks still be any good? Would it be worth playing? I made a "harder then normal" story containing just one mission long ago called Introducing the Gia Mob. This mission was to show off my new custom mob containing many Lt's and minions that complimented each other by their power sets. The bosses? Yes they are hard and with the complimenting support cast( I think I made 10 or so with different powers and such), but with incarnate powers now I wonder how challenging this arc can be.

You can find it under @redmanfx "Introducing the GIA mob"(I will include the mish ID when the game maint. is over) It is a single mission and on higher difficulties it can be extremely hard so beware. I would like to see how incarnate powers effect the mission and to get some feed back as to your feelings on the rewards you get compared to the difficulty. This mission was created back in the day before AE was ruined by the devs or at least rewards were as punishment for the exploitation of the AE system. The mission has many objectives, so it's not the 1, 2, 3 and it's over mission.

I haven't edited this AE mission for years so If you do decide to check it out. Let me know how your powers worked and if your rewards were worth the effort. And just let me know if it was any fun or not. This mission was not made to exploit but the test the custom mob I made for the "Fiendish Plot" arc, which I may or may not continue expanding. Thanks for your input.

    Arc Id is 29778
  5. Speaking of Electric Primary

I have an electric/ice dom and I like him. From what I've seen from other electric doms I have noticed they tend to be more Melee orientated then other doms. Granted they have the ranged portion of the set, which I use very often, but the melee part has good damage and because of that I tend to blast them, "hold" them, then move into melee. The ranged powers of the set also do well in pvp. This Dom is the only one I take into PVP. I pvp my elec/ice dom and it's the best pvp dom I have.

Overall the elec set does lack the damage for a melee set, but that's why it has the ranged attacks. Does this help our electric doms case? Nope, but at least I have more then one ranged attack. It literally makes no sense why a dom set would have allot of melee, but no defense against it. Without a second set that had some holds it's not worth it in my opinion, but with holds from a second set I find the elec dom playable and fun.

Electric doms are not blasters and not brutes but have the powers of both at a more limited damage output ratio. You can however enjoy a run to level 50 with a nice core of powers to compliment a team. Granted you will not be the center toon of a team, but you can be one of the funnest to play. I say make one and play it. : D

I do not like elec secondary. YUCK.
"edited for spelling" I type to fast. : P

Lately it's been a little hectic since my pc is being revamped and the fact that my gf plays as well. Problem is we are BOTH having to use her laptop, so anytime after say 4 - 5pm eastern standard and weekends. In a week, no later then two I will have my pc back and start after 4pm est and no later then 9pm for tips. On the weekends I will be on at various times but if I can get this rolling I'll make a "Tip Time" depending on participation.
  7. Thank you, I will tune in when the times allow.
  8. I was just messing around with my Kat/SR build and got this. Have not respec'd yet but the def for melee is real high. Similar numbers except for damage buff.

  9. Good idea Memphis with the second build.
  10. I think I'll just keep this thread going instead of a creating a new channel in game. Managing a channel is a bit much for me since I have a huge sg and managing that is enough for me, but I'd join one for sure. I run about 6 to 8 toons through tips regularly and have a few friends I run with. I'd love to have more join us. We can keep a steady run going allowing for peeps to keep switching toons.
  11. Hey all, how did you like the live video feed on ustream during the server merger? I appreciated the time taken to sit with us and answer some of the thousands of live questions thrown at the COX staff. Lots of dancing there but some good info as well.

How about a possible weekly or bi-weekly 1/2 hour live broadcast to do the same. Some of the stories told were great and the antics of others were funny and enjoyable. Different members could host it each week and give a little info or whats coming up or perhaps tips about that game. Just an idea. : D
  12. Any interest in starting a tip mission marathon or Tip Time? Maybe a particular time or day?
  13. When will the temporary travel powers be working again in pvp zones? Without jet packs and other temp travel powers in pvp zones we are not able to get some badges such as triumphant, needed for accolade and escape from players etc.. etc.. etc.. Not everyone took fly or super jump, so these temps are needed. People still do pvp and visit those zones. Seems like the bad instance of travel power problems was taken from the trials and dumped in the pvp zones to let simmer and stew.
  14. I am with you Tunnel Rat in wanting to revisit the Fire power set FX and auras. The set is old and could use your expertise and skills. : D Perhaps you will get some consideration from the devs if enough people agree that fire sets need some overhauling. Your work is great and I'm sure it could only improve upon the set's existing FX.

I would like to see footprints left over from some power sets. That would be cool. Like when in ice armor or power surge you would leave chilling footsteps as if liquid nitrogen leaked on the floor or a live wire was exposed to water. These could last only a second or two but would be an added effect that makes sense and look awesome.
  15. All I can ask the Praetorians after the beating is "you're what hurts?"

I'm curious, would you be more apt to play a story-driven arc if you knew approx how many tickets it rewards up front? What if the rewards were less than a farm's? How much less would be acceptable?

I'm toying with the idea of pushing for a standard TPM (Tickets Per Mish) tag to add into arc descriptions that appeal to ticket-motivated players. Of course, how I would calculate it and what would be a baseline standard are still up in the air. It's just a concept for now.
What I really would like is to play these hard player created arcs and get at least what you put into playing it and running through each mission. I mean if it's hard then should it not deserve some type of just rewards for completing it? More so then just saying "it's a friends". Realizing of course that it's hard to please everyone, but it just seems to fall short after you do these hard arcs. Other then the pleasure of playing your friends arc, I guess I would like some better rewards sure. They don't have to be off the wall just a bit more then what we get now from them if they are hard.

Tkts per mish is one idea.

Another whole part of ae just for custom arcs maybe? I'm not sure, just seeing how our server sees it or how they see ae now.

I like doing my friends arcs. Many made hard arcs because they have built nice toons that these mish's can challenge. But some are so hard and testing that yeah if I get through it why not get that Milk Shake, Instead of a glass of water. : D

The game is a reward driven game.
  17. I recently went to the old A&E building to do some friend's player created arcs. What kind of gaming experience was A&E now? That is what I wanted to know and to check out these creative arcs. Just two players (myself and gf) set off at +3 +2. Well the arcs themselves were very creative and extremely hard as these particular arcs were meant to be, but..... the rewards for custom created characters are so far off what dev created game characters are these days that it was almost not worth the effort. We finished the arcs because they were our friends but man what a disappointment a&e has become with these custom characters. I must say that these mish's were not farms but 4 mission story arcs with great commentary and a true story line.

What makes some of the a&e mish's fun is the fact that players put their sg's toons in these arcs so you get to fight (for all intense and purposes) real PLAYERS toons. I enjoy that and enjoy a good challenge. Since the demise of a&e I think it's time the devs revisit the adjusting of tkt rewards for these types of arcs. Someone put a load of time and effort into making these arcs, so maybe...... With all the incarnated running around i'm surprised A&E hasn't blown up again with so many monster powered god like beings running around.

I only say this because some a&e farms(we all know there are still tons of them) you can get 1500 tkts in minutes and yet I got 1500 tkts total from 4 mish's with these custom toon arcs. That's just crazy and totally prevents truly wanting to do more of these. I know the perversion of the earlier A&E rules allowed for people to take advantage of custom critters but hasn't enough time gone by to revisit this? Just a thought anyway.

    Take care all. : D

I'll probably end up doing the same this coming week. For now i'm bored of farming people.

And Xan, sweety. If PvP IOs were granted only to people who actually PvPed, you would never have pvp IOs.

The sentiment that PvP IOs should reward PvP skill is ridiculous and stupid. No one has that anymore.
What level is your toon again? if it's 50 I don't doubt you've been getting drops. It's the lower level toons of mine that have stopped getting any drops what so ever. I'm now up to 300 pvp rep with about 260 kills with a level 43 Fortunata and have yet to receive and single pvp recipe drop in a pvp zone. I also have a level 43 stalker who has yet to receive a single pvp recipe drop as well. My 50's however still get drops.....

    PvP Drops

I believe all are valid rep kills.

No, they are complaining because I'm messing up their farms and that's it. They believe they have a right to farm in a pvp zone or something without interference.
It's the devs that changed the drop rate trying to stop or slow down something you can't slow down or stop, so I throw it all on them. : D

I've pvp'd allot. Even after I13 I continued to pvp, but all but stopped one day when my new favorite toons lost their nice powers in pvp zones. I started again when the pvp recipes started.

Yeah the devs could care less about pvp. They tried to do something that most were against and didn't listen with I13(yeah it was a pride thing Castle, I know), so they are ignoring everything pvp now.

I am thinking there is a bug as well since I just can't get a pvp recipe with this toon and another one I use in pvp. But it only happens with lower level toons as my 50's still get pvp drops.

I am bad. I have downs. I fail at PvP. If I can farm 1 pvp IO a night, anyone can.

    d;D
I've been pvp'ng in warburg with a level 38-to a now 43 widow on infinity. I wish my numbers were like yours but they arent. Check this out..... From 0 pvp rep to a now 280 pvp rep with over 200 kills and I'd say 0ver 10 hours in zone.. you know how my pvp recipes I got??? 0, zilch, zippo. Not a damn single pvp recipe! I tried farming. taking over other's farms.. hhehehe and straight up destroying and attacking everything I see. NOTHING!!!! Now i'm tired of this bullshi t pvp drop rate for lower level toons. My level 50's get many more drops then this current toon. I've sent at least 3 petitions about it. What is with this bull?

Whats' even worst is that when I take over your farms or flat out killing both your toons peeps are getting mad at me.. ?? scuse me, but it's a pvp zone and farm at your own risk. I'm not getting any damn drops so you think I want farmers pulling all the drops? Before I never cared, but now i'm starting to get pissed. This is just another fine example of farmers ruining the drop rate due to the devs trying to prevent farming, which of course,... you CANT!

Sigh.. only thing I can do is keep petitioning the devs about the NO pvp recipe drop rate for my non 50 toon and keep killing everything I see. I just think it's sad, farmers can just set up two toons and go to bed and get pvp recipes allot and someone pvp'ng for real and killing allot and spending much time in zone can't get jack. I'm only grumbling because I want to make this fortunata my pvp toon, but hell, why should I if I can't get drops with it.

I used to be able to pull pvp recipe's with lower level toons but now it's been a no go. And I like to thank the gm's and devs out there for ignoring petitions sent completely on the matter. hehehe.

Guess I'll catch ya in pvp land sometime all. Peace out. : D
  22. In my play choking cloud only drew intense aggro and isn't the best thing for survivability. It's a nice power but I dropped it as well as some of my friends from their builds. Hover is great and can take your stealth io. Perma AM helps with not getting stunned as well. I'll include a build here that's a bit pricey but no terribly expensive It should get you through whatever you face. Maybe you can get some ideas from it. Recharge is most important as well as a great amount of endurance/endurance recovery and the heal pops every 5.5 seconds or so at about 243 hp per pop..so I don't really need a ton of hp or regen. In addition if it gets to bad I hibernate. I Hardly die much at all and I'm not built for def., it just turns out that way.
