Any time a character of mine get nearly full on recipe or salvage, I switched to another character. I plan on listing everything for 1 that's worth less than 5M when the market returns, and I wanted to make sure I destroyed as little as possible. No burden switching, since I have about 150 characters I like playing.

Quote:fix't that.MY rep is red because I routinely give poor advice that might be seen by less experienced folks wanting to use the market effectively and people dont like to see me making it harder for those people to get wealthy like so many in this forum that give free advice have done.

I've only played about 8 hours since I17 hit, but I have yet to get a new temp power drop.

Just checked my storage, and I have nothing below level 41 for either of the IOs you are after. I have a small number of level 31 and 33 procs from the set, but that's the closest I come to anything you're after. Good luck finding the rest.

I predict I'll get richer. Anything beyond that is hazy.

Quote:Soloing my most recent stalker to hit 50, I got one purple from level 46 through level 50, and none since, even though I've put in over a hundred hours solo on him since hitting 50 and dozens more teamed. And his purple was the chance to placate proc. So glad to hear from all you folks that get a purple every 17 kills, but it's still random and not all of the rest of us have had as much good fortune in our drops.Months? I get a couple a week. Guess it depends on how often you play. *shrug*

My only purple drop on my now L50 DM/SR stalker happened just after he hit level 50, while fighting against level 49 and 50 enemies. I soloed him entirely from 46 to 50, and got one stinking purple. Not bitter about that, BTW, but mention it for the "I got 3 purple drops just last night on my L50!" folks to point out not everyone has the same good fortune. Almost like the drops are random or something.

I did this on a smaller scale 2-3 weeks ago, but never realized folks would be so interested. One of my villains had more infamy than I knew what to do with, and I was tired of marketeering with him at the time, so I converted 1.2B into prestige. I had just invited my 7-year-old son's brute into my SG after transferring him from another server in February, and he wanted to work on the base. I upgraded my base plot size, bought 3 rooms for him, and told him to go crazy with the 800K prestige I had left over at that point. Should have taken pics documenting the process.

I, for one, have been calling for caps on the market for a long time. I propose a much lower cap. Maybe 20 million? 25 million? I am certain that I, for one, would be able to get much richer much more easily if we had such a low cap. I'm totally on board with any effort to implement market caps of any sort.

"but who is going to list their IO at less than the recent sold price."
I do for anything I expect to sell for under 20-30 million. I'd rather move something quickly at 90% typical selling price than get 105% and wait 3 weeks to sell it.

You have to realize anyone who "plays" the market will be devastated by this idea. It will simply destroy most if not all of the high end "niches" and their profits will simply disappear. Of course anyone in that position is gonna post a significantly scathing "anti idea" against the OP's good idea.
Short of eliminating the market, I don't think anything can be done which will make my profits disappear. If the market changes, I'll just change how I make profits. And no matter what, if the market is there and is player controlled in any manner, I'll find a way to make a profit. Other changes have happened which people predicted would kill the market, or kill marketeering, or make it too difficult to profit. Every time the game or market has changed, I've just changed. I'm richer now than I even imagined I could be a year ago, and it's gotten easier for me than it used to be.
No one competent at profiting from the market really cares about market changes because they will make it impossible to get rich on the market. There are a lot of players in this forum that know more about the game than you or I do who probably will think a lot of the ideas presented here to "fix" the market are bad for the game. And I'm inclined to believe them far more than I am inclined to believe you and your baseless negativism.

Just casual marketering (which, oddly, I don't do on my L50 purpled warshade since I don't have one) I probably make 100-300M combined across all characters. If I'm really trying to earn, I can double that. The most I've done in one week that I'm certain of was just under 1B, on a villain I was trying to get to the cap.
But there are also weeks I don't touch the market except for actually slotting characters, and I rarely make more than a few million those weeks because most of my buying and selling goes to me.

I foolishly forgot to get screenshots this week-end, but I sold 4 Sci. Theories blueside for a combined 11.6 million. Listed them about 2 months ago, and finally sold them this week. One went for 5M, one for 3M and the other 2 for nearly 2M each. Ever since I learned from complainers in this forum that sometimes people are FORCED to buy these salvage for over 1 million, I felt I should help them.

"I've never had a single use for Flash Freeze, ever."
Chance for self-heal IO. That's the only thing I've come up with.

Clear, we need lower price caps to fix this problem. If there was a cap of 20 million, I'm certain there be hundreds more on the market. Price caps na0, plz devs!!

If you don't mind taking a couple levels below the max, Lewis, I can get you about 60% of your needs. You'd need to transfer to Champion to pick them up, but I can dump them on you there and you can take them back. Might be able to transfers them via the market or move one of my characters over with a bunch of them, also. Since server transfers are free ATM, I'm sure we can work something out.
EDIT: Bah - apparently I used a lot of mine and forgot I had done so. I'll check my SG storage on other servers and see if I still have any stored anywhere. Will be later tonight or maybe even the week-end before I'll have the time to track them down. Failing that, I'll just give you bunches of inf so you can buy some of your collections. I sometimes store high-demand items just so I can offer them when folks need them, so I should have some of them *somewhere* still.

Somebody bought literally dozens of training origin enhancements for one infamy each from a number of my villains this past week. In all, I lost several hundred infamy. With my billions in holdings across characters, though, I think I can suffer the loss.
RagManX -
I have some recipes in the teens. If the dancing feline can't set you up, I'll see if I can help out. I think all my holdings are on Freedom, maybe a few on Champion, but we should be able to work something out.

I just hope more slow resist IOs are available for super-cheap again. I've used up most of mine once I realized they'd never give the return I was hoping for. They're high enough that I don't want to buy them at buyitNao pricing but cheap enough to not be worth much marketeering.

Quote:Red or blue? I have some on each side teens and low 20s, although I may have to find which character has them. The market is very "hollow" -supply is terrible at levels below max. Both sides are bad, though redside has always been worse than blue.
By the way, if anyone has a sub-38 Celerity or Unbounded Leap stealth, I'm willing to pay quite a lot for it.
