Like most everyone else, my only experience with interface is with reactive. Since reactive (dot) may be a bad thing for sleep powers, what other interface (not reactive) should a mind dom go with?

Noob question for brute experts... I like to build a DM or Fire brute but I'm torn between willpower and invulnerability. Both secondaries can be softcapped for most damage types (except psi). With WP you wouldn't have to worry about end and you'll have decent regeneration and with INV you'll have great resistance and nice debuff resists. So what other differences are there between the two before I decide to pair them with a primary?
-
Quote:Is it 6% additional base damage or 8%? My math is a little rusty... (45 - 33) * 2/3 = 8I understand that. I'm just saying it's only affecting one power by the percentage it gives you. The way he worded his post, I wasn't sure if he thought the % increase to recovery was off of his base.
What's more valuable? All of your pets doing 6% additional base damage that will be amplified by your -resist or 6.6% more recovery?
(Math for that, by the way, is 2/3 * 33% Alpha enhancement * 30% Stamina boost) -
So I got both the Tier 3's for my musculature alpha but I'm conflicted as to which T4 I should get. Since MMs have 6 pets firing all at once, the difference between 45% vs 33% (damage) sounds pretty substantial... However, the T4 Radial comes with +recovery, +run speed, and +tohit debuff which could all benefit a traps MM. Any advice would be appreciated...

Newb question: If I slot a damage proc (ie. Hecatomb %) into a power that does dot damage (ie. incinerate, fireball, etc), does that damage proc only proc once?

1) Do most players go with the tankermind approach (softcapped def and BG) or do they let the bruiser tank their battles?
2) In BG mode using thugs and enforcers, if I send the bruiser (goto/aggressive) to the target and he gets attacked... Would the BG pets respond or stay still until I get attacked?
3) Does damage buff from IO set bonuses affects pets?
4) Is it possible to IO out your character to include all the following benefits (in order of importance): softcapped defense for pets, softcapped defense for MM, perma-hasten, and build will come with aid other/aid self? -
After two years, I finally got my bots/traps to 50 and I'm ready to slot him with IO sets. My question is how do I see my pets' stats in Mids. I like to try and softcap their defense if possible and in the process softcap my MM's defense but also include pet buffs (protector's bubbles) so I don't go over cap and waste slots.

Vets - So after playing different ATs for years, what in your opinion is the best defensive and offensive AT (primary/secondary) in CoX? In my opinion, I think it's the SoAs (crab). If built right (and you have a ton of inf handy), the crab can be devastating in both AoE and ST damage. You also have room to softcap all positional defenses with decent resistance and have enough recharge to go perma-hasten. On top of all that, they have mez protection.
-
They're cute and all but they don't seem to contribute a lot of damage... Would I be a crazy fool to drop the spiderlings for an awesome single attack like Gloom? Need advice from a Crab vet before I burn a respec.
-
In your opinion, which AT (primary & secondary) benefits most from the convenience buff?
Convenience buff aka "Quality of Life Upgrade" -
I'm worried about the player base in the current game... If CoH2 was officially announced as work in progress, would the players whose been grinding trials and farming to build their characters continue to do their business or would they think it's pointless and just quit? This sequel is pretty much a pwipe where you start from scratch and rebuild years of work.

This is really good info from ppls with experience. It really helps the new folks before we cash in those hard earned threads.

With i20, how does a dm/inv brute stack up against a dm/inv scrapper? The damage between the two can't be that far apart if the brute is tanking most of the time and building fury. Basically, I'm curious why a scrapper is preferable to so many forum vets.

If this ppl can make 56 bill in the game market, he must be making a fortune in RL with stocks.

Interesting So to avoid AOE damage to my minions, I would move at a distance while provoking the target and still be in BG mode. Im going to try that, thanks!
-
Im fairly new to MMs and have never seen one actually take down a GM solo. By GM, I mean the ones in the Hive. What tactics are needed in order to keep myself and my minions alive since it may take some time to chop them down?
-
I like to hear from MM specialists which alpha, judgement, lore, interface and destiny would most benefit his character? I currently have a bots/traps @ 43 (I know <yawn>) and would like to prepare him for all these incarnate goodies.

Let's say I summon the pets from Warworks. After the fixed 5 minutes, they will expire. Would it be possible to unslot Warworks for Clockwork so you can have another set of pets out for another 5 min duration and so on and so on?
-
This question may have been asked to death but here goes... I noticed ppls are advertising themselves as level 52's or 53's. Does that mean they have been level shifted twice or three times? Would I see a +2 or +3 when I select these ppls?

This power is a "nice to have." I went to paragon wiki and looked it up. For some reason, I thought the cooldown was 120 seconds instead of minutes. Oh well, still very cool. Thanks for the replies.

I thought I remember hearing of a power that sends a player directly to the mission entrance. Is this a vet power or something bought from an expansion?

My brute is 50 and he has the MU patron pool. If I decide to turn him hero and then respec him to pyre mastery... and if I decide later on I don't like pyre... can I respec him back to MU or do I have to bring him back to villainside and redo that patron arc over again?
-
Thanks for the link. I was confused by what Paragon Wiki describes as "high" and "moderate" damage for those two powers (HB and FG respectively). DPS-wise, frag grenade is much more superior to both heavy burst and suppression. I guess I'll just keep FG in my arsenal.
-
Im thinking of replacing frag grenade with heavy burst because the knockback drives me nuts. Since I have Cardiac for my alpha, the cone in heavy burst should widen a bit and thus sweetens the deal. Does anyone know of a reason to take frag grenade over heavy burst (if you only have one power choice)?
