i would have to say "all the above" since i hated buffing sets sif it was on a mm or a troller or a corr

this change however i would have to say strengthens MMs the most since its a 1 buff and done and you got all your pets and team (pre patch i basically ignored buffing my pets and disliked playing the toon)

You get +def buff often even before Destiny and AoE buff already. Now you are getting +Def and +Res left right and centre; plus your own regen on top.

Basically any thermal and force field masterminds, they got a double buff with the MM upgrade buffs, and the AoE factors for the FF and thermal shields.

My demon/thermal is pretty awesome now and i'm loving it

I'd say masterminds of all sorts benefit from this. Even if you don't have ally shields to cast, your pets are now benefiting from the shields that a teammate may not have bothered to give them before.

Originally, I was going to say "Controllers and Corrs" because their play style demands more attacking than a Defender (my 2 cents. In general, if you want your role to be buffing/debufing, you play a Def. If you want to mostly attack while having some minor buffs/debuffs you roll one of the other two ATs). However, based on the above posts, I'll throw my money in the hat for MMs also. I think the best point was the one where even if the MM doesn't have shields, their pets will automatically benefit from the shields cast by other players who'd normally neglect to buff those pets.

As for individual sets, I'd say Kin benefits the most. A 1-minute shield is not fun to try to keep on a whole team!

Now, not only can they shield their team and their pets with ease. Other Buffers are finally shielding the MMs pets!

MMs- for the fact that buffs are easier for MMs to cast and they will also get buffed from splash buffs intended for other teammates. It almost makes me want to roll one again. But I will wait until MMs get kinetics first.

Gonna have to ad a +1 to MM's too. I have a Bots & Bubbles MM and a Demon/Therm MM that were somewhat shelved for a while. I might jump on one of them for a mission or 2 then log to something else because of the constant buffing of all of my pets. Well...constant as in every ~4 minutes...not including death.

Plus, with the halved end cost for Pet Buff powers...now i don't really mind seeing my pets fall as much because now i don't have to worry about bottoming out my endurance thru resummoning and rebuffing. And I can do it in a FRACTION of the time it would have taken me before if i had multiple pets fall down.

Also...gonna have to toss in a +1 to Kinetic ANYTHING. They probably had it as bad or worse than shielders due to ID and SB being such short durations. I haven't broken my Kin/Sonic Def since the change went live (been working on MM's...including a new one. Necro/Thermal that just dinged 14...my highest necro EVER)...but i shall...at some point.

In terms of qualify of life improvement, it's definitely Mastermind that got the most out of it because I am a team player and my MM tends to buff teammates as well. That means I have to buff force field on 6 pets and then all the other teammates. That's A LOT of boring bubbling. Sure, I can skip some bubbles here and there but the aoe buff change makes me want to play /FF and /Thermal MM.

The best part of this is that no bubbler buffs MM pets one by one, so this buff makes sure that some of pets get OTHER'S shield buffs as well. If my Ninjas fight melee with other Brutes and those Brutes get /thermal or /cold shields, my ninjas will get them too! It's a no brainer that MM got the best quality of life change.

The 2nd best quality of life change is Kinetic because speed boost only lasts 90s and a lot of people ask for "sb pls!". If you can buff most of people in one or two hits, that's great.

Edit: This change saves me so much endurance too.


What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.
