  1. In the beginning, there was only darkness.....
  2. I did notice that the Brain in the Think-Tank is not animated so adding an articulated head requires a further step, but any clipping issues could be solved by making the helmet a bit larger in the dimension that might get clipped.
  3. hrrm? Will that be Brain, No-Brain, or Brain with Eyes attached? Well how about Brain with Alien face attached? Or Giant Brain with Alien face (or other face) attached?

I have been waiting for Fish-Tank Helmets for my characters for 7 and a half years so we should get these, maybe in a Weird Technology costume-pak at least, and soon. And of course you should also have the ability to put a human head, attached to the body, in the Fish-Tank helmets also.
  4. I was disappointed with the Beast-Pak because, number one, no anthropomorphic beast-heads, which would be say half-human and half-beast, and no ape heads. Also no new body fur lengths or manes/hair.

Really though, the Beast-Pak was supposed to enable players to make half-animal/ half-human characters and the heads in the Beast-Pak do not do this as they are not anthropomorphic at all. Not any of them.
  5. I am just glad you can run the three armors at the same time now! Originally when I started my BS/DA I had to choose one armor and hope Dark Regen recharged fast enough.

However if I were to focus on one thing it would be Dark Regen. Perhaps you should get a double heal off the first target hit or some bonus level of healing. Just for balance. That's about it.
  6. So probably just an omission in the new descriptions. I just asked because I hadn't heard anything myself.
  7. I look in the description of my Scrapper's powers (various powersets) and suddenly the 10% chance to critical hit Bosses, etc. is gone from almost every power, but the 5% chance to crit minions is still there. I do see a few powers with 15% chance to crit bosses, like 1 per powerset.

This doesn't seem like an omission so why was it done?
  8. Lotus Drops does about the same damage as Spinning Strike and has a range of 8 as a PBAoE. Spinning Strike is a Targetted AoE with a range of 7 and AoE of 6? Well Lotus Drops will always hit more mobs in the same groupings, you just manuever your character a step forward, right, left, or back and you are guarenteed to hit more mobs and it's very easy to do. The 6 foot AoE is too small , turning Spinning Strike into just a melee cone instead of a targetted AoE or PBAoE.

True, so range modifiers should increase the range.

Actually they all modify range except the purple lvl 50 set.

Correct. I think they made a mistake though. Of course if it did increase the range, maxed would be 10-12 feet, which might help a bit. However Spinning Strike is obviously a PBAoE since it is centered on yourself and melee range.
  12. I think you just need to learn to maximize combo damage and no one can say they mastered a powerset that was just released. Besides, it's fast I have heard, which is a rarity for a melee set. Claws, Katana are fast, MA would be if you didn't have to chase the stuff you kick, but MA has too many kicks to be a martial art, to me.
  13. Power info says Scrapper Crits are not effected by Combo level. Does Brute Fury level effect Combo damage boost?
  14. For me a teleport to the Train Station is not worth wasting a power pick on. If you have Teleport, the train station is usually a just few easy teleports away.

Long Range Teleport should at least include your selected mission as a target to be worth a power pick. Or include the option of a 1 kilometer directional teleport as well as the train stations.

Also, my MM's henchmen lose their AI's after Long Range Teleport forcing me to log out and back in to fix them.
  15. SR is good, but only has one trick and the trick is odds to dodge attacks, eventually you get hit alot all at once and at this point you need to restore hit points. That has to come from somewhere other than SR, so that's your dilema. Things that buff your Defense or debuff their to-hit can lower the need to heal-up.
  16. Since I-21 my computer crashes every 3-5 minutes on Atlas Park map even when it is empty. On other maps crashes are almost non-existant. Going to an event on Atlas, like Hamidon crashes my computer in 2-3 minutes even if not moving.
  17. Beam Rifle is great for it's speed of activation. Damage-wise it's as good as any powerset. Focus on what you want to RP as is probably the best advice since both Ice and Beam Rifle offer very good gameplay.

    Memory leak?

Sounds like my problem except FPS is always around 60-70 fps when I crash to desktop (CTD). I CTD about every 3-5 minutes in new Atlas Park, everywhere else it's about once per hour.
  19. I've got a rocket in my pocket...? Oh, it's just my Beam Rifle!
  20. Serendipitously, I am on vacation next week. Just the way I planned it. Beam Rifle... hmmm.
  21. Yes, well somewhere between Robots and Demons is the wierd scientist mastermind who creates monster henchmen out of synthetic goop or similar. What those monsters could be is almost limitless, except that it should fit the roleplay of comic book masterminds of course.
  22. Time Bomb is must have for me. Never sure about Auto-Turret, but Time Bomb is a nice asset. Never know when you need a little 20 foot radius nuke to help with more resistant targets.
  23. Alot of players complained they could no longer 6-slot damage SO's into attacks after Enhancement Diversification. Many wanted TD to also boost damage a little and it does now for AR-Sniper Rifle only. I always viewed the high Defiance buffs for the last three powers in Devices as a small compensation for ED.

The rest is up to one's personal play style, but IMHO, it is much faster, more dynamic, to take out a tough boss with Time Bomb+Trip Mine and buffed Hail of Bullets than to set up 7 or 8 Trip Mines and lure them into it.
  24. Just nice to know that only the Bosses will be left standing after the nuke, most times. Not so easy with no Build-Up. And for those times when the Mobs are plus levels.
