Yes, I can think of so many comic book villians who raised their own crop of synthetic monsters and armies to control the earth, galaxy, etc. Plus the options for the synthetic monsters is endless in possibilities. Each could be different.

Actually a large pink hairy tooth shaped monster wearing tennis shoes, (able to instantly produce big arms ending in really big claws) would do it....although you'll have to watch out for wise cracking rabbits.
Actually I agree, you should be able to have moster henchmen.
Yes, well somewhere between Robots and Demons is the wierd scientist mastermind who creates monster henchmen out of synthetic goop or similar. What those monsters could be is almost limitless, except that it should fit the roleplay of comic book masterminds of course.

Hmm... Picture the following:
You summon your henchmen to a location. Quickly, a few civilians run into the location, you toss a vial onto them, causing them to mutate into your henchmen. That could be pretty cool

For the second rank of pets, maybe put them more upright and give them arms. Give them a bite attack as well, but maybe some super strength and Street Justice moves, (minus the legs).
For the Boss, make him look like a regular Hydra with arms and legs. At a loss though for what powers to give him.
Finally for the unique move, how about mulitplying one of your pets, (Except the boss)
From the beginning I thought a Synthetic Monster/Weird Scientist was a natural for a comic book styled mastermind so I never suggested it, thinking it would be added soon anyway. However...
This Mastermind creates his henchmen from synthetic bio-chemical goop. Maybe mixes them up in chemists flasks or throws out a bottle from his belt. From the goop, his monsters quickly take shape. They would be humanoid, but very synthetic, perhaps half finished constructions. Idea is for monsters a weird scientist might create.
They are ranged with some melee attacks, the middle two having some control/defense, and the big pet having hulking size and tank-like ability. Possiblity that Mastermind gets an electric gun and sapping ability, maybe through his pets.
