You are.......Black Scorpion's spikey bimbo girlfriend. ( forget her name)
and I am a bloodwidow -
hey posi, look, I brought you a shiny red apple! Am I now the teachers pet?
* rubs hands in evil fashion doing the evil "hehehe" under his breath" -
no, You are an apple. You can be Atlas's globe but that's it.

I agree with what pill said.
All in all, I think that hover should offer -good- combat mobility. that means that it should be at least as good as just running when not slotted ( at least!) and should be able to exceed sprint with a few slots.
having to turn off hover just to move from mob to mob without excruciating slow crawling would make the power less unpleasant. -

Wow....necropost...and all moot after the publication of the Web of Arachnos book...just finished it myself...pretty good...the story arcs in the comics are better thoughWould have prefered a limited edition comic series to recount the origin than the book, but meh! watcha gonna do....hopefully the next one (Freedom Phalanx) is better....maybe get Hickman to do one?

Ack! I never looked at the date! Ew *shudders* i touched a dead thing!
I don't have the book yet, but I will soon, i hope. BTW, do we face off Stheno somewhere ingame? -

I reckon Statesman slept with his sister.
[/ QUOTE ]
I believe that's true, recluse's sister and statesman get a daughter who becomes miss liberty, she and an unknown get a daughter who calls herself ms liberty.
I think the remark recluse made is unrelated to the well of the furies and stheno. -
impkin, if you get moved in the interruptible period, the ttack fails. Just like when you are trying to do so on a sloped terrain, if you slip down a bit, it fails.
As far as the NPC's, castle, the amount of them and their behaviour ( especially in heists0 is not only irritating, it's also immersion breaking: they run to you and your attacks, they are in the vault; the one plave they shouldn't want to be.
I understand that npc colision detection would cause too much server stress, even if you only implement it inside missions, but can you atleast either lower their numbers, alter their behaviour, or make them run away from us (like they do from street villains)? -
Wyvvern's costumes appear to be inspired on minticore's too.
(lol, not gonna correct that type, I can allready imagine him and his winter fresh arrow)
Wyvvern are way cooler than longbow in any case -

Goldbricker (named boss): We want our sled back!
I found these both funny. The first one I have no Idea why though....<.< >.> The second one becaues well really why would some extravagently rich and powerful person want a sled?
[/ QUOTE ]
A sled? Rosebud, perhaps?
Citizen Kane reference, methinks. ^_^
[/ QUOTE ]
You are told to steal a sled from them at some point, that's what they call their rocketpacks -

Like I mentioned, Marcus Cole begins the story as a fairly self-centered, self-absorbed character.

And that changed when? -
You don't need your speakers, or your monitor, so turn them off. *rolleyes*

is scrapyard working like lusca, where multiple teams can get the badge? Or is he one of the spawn camp mosters? ( which would be a bad thing.)
-
hmm, then sonics will have to do... (goes in mental gearshift to change the concept and backstory)
OK, sonic sonic it is. Too bad dolphin is allready taken on protector, I'll have to come up with a new name (dolphin is my defender on victory who slated to be darl/sonic) -
Topdoc, I'd love to join the SG. I'm rerolling an alt to include sonics, would dark miasma/sonic do?

I can understand why the Defense bonus is supressed, but the stealth component does not make sense(at least in PvE).
The game already causes whatever you attack to agro to you. The main benefit of stealth is to control how much agro you get.
It would be one thing if stealth had a lower endurance cost and didnt have a -speed component, but right now it gives very little benefit except to augment the stealth component of superspeed while traveling.
If you decide to keep the changes to stealth, would you at least consider alowing invisibility to be used during combat?
[/ QUOTE ]
quoted for emphasis.
How and why stealth supresses is more or less flexible in regards to how you interpret the power, but I'd use the latest batman movie as example of how I see it: he attacks the mobs sneaky and one by one while the other mill around and shoot haphazardly in the shadows. This would be translated in the game as the way it used to work.
Furtermore, supressing stealth so groups that never agro'ed on you (which can happen if you are sniped) is silly, it's like you are such an amateur that you can't even remain under the cover of "darkness" while being attacked. -
I have been thinking about the "too controllery" defnder primaries and the changes made to them.
Since controllers and defender share powersets there is some friction between them, one says that the controlls are too good for a defender and the other says that the buffs are too good for a controller.
So, why not look at the sets this way and ajust them accordingly:
If the power is a controll power (hold, sleep, disorient, pet, speed, knockback/down and repell) let it be at controler strength (and duration) for a controller and at a lessened state for a defender.
And if a power is a buff/debuff ( or has that as a component) then have it be at full strength for a defender and at a lessened state for a controller.
This way the shared sets have separate functions depending on who uses it.
The trick arrow set is the first controllery secondary for a contrller, and is welcomed as such, it would be a shame to take that away again.
(following that train of thought, i'd even like to switch darkmiasma for empathy as a contrller secondary, since empathy is very defendery and dark is very controllery. existing heroes could be grandfathered of course.)
All in all, i'm trying to advocate control for controllers, and defense (buffs etc) for defenders, in both primary and secondary. -
all in all a fun set. (don't "fix" it because we like it
)
there is an animation bug with ice arrow atleast (and maybe with others) where is you use a non bow attack, and then cue ice arrow, it animates a left hand shot, but fires nothing (because it hasn't recharged yet)
the glue arrow could do with another animation (something like webgrenade). Is it intended that the glue patch disspears when the target you shot at dies? -
I'd like to add to the comments on the sound effects of the set:
first of all i think a female set of sounds is in order; since they are (apparantly) vocal based, it's rather clucky to have your dainty (yeah right) girls sound like a growling guy.
Second of all and this only goes for powers up to howl: shriek sounds like a sonic gun instead of an actual shriek, howl sounds too much like a warwolf; not human enough, the second tier power (scream? it's the dot one) is right on the nose, for a male hero.
All in all, i think that the set is rather good, except for some of the sounds which need a looking at. -
actually..... serling has a point.
The times that I powerlevelled, where when I couldn't wait that one extra level to get a certain power (or to slot my hami'o)
Right now, the carrot, is in aquiring powers, while it actually should be in involving storylines etc. -

The daily debt forgiveness is especially a good idea, especially if it's only a moderate amount (say, 10-20%).

It's a stiff, bereft of life it's pushing up the daisies, it's run up the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibule. It is an ex-horse.
This particular equine has been beaten to death a number of times, and I believe back in the day red names replied to say that they didn't want to do this as it would encourage people not to play until their debt was gone, and believe it or not they want people to play and have fun.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, what about this then: you get a daily debt forgiveness for everyday that you actually logged in. -
[ QUOTE ]
I was thinking the same thing All travel powers should be available earlier if you waant players to do missions in low-level hazard zones without raising the "debt-free" cap.
[/ QUOTE ]
Good idea. it would even solve another problem, which is not being able to start a power pool at 4 (and if you want a travel power at 6, you'd need to get the pre-req at 4)
/agree -
I have a problem, I want to use recall at a level prior to 15 but if I do so, I get a conflict in slotting: i dont want to move up PA, stamina and phantasm but if I move down recall (which provides slots for stamina) I have to move up a power that uses no slots. which should it be?
another thing is, I'm thinking of switching speedboost fir decieve, speedboost is only of use for my phantasms (limited) and I'll put soloing before teaming.

The leaning sit apparently just has the character model get up from that position after a fraction of a second pause within it. So just in case anyone thought you could sit down and rest like that- it's not so. I haven't asked them how to do it, either. There are a few elitist groups that hide things like that and I tend not to try and get involved with any one of them.

you hit dance and sit simultaniously -
his point is ryvin, the the electric prime drains less endurance than the electric secondary. AT should determine a power's effectiveness.
