I had my XP turned off for the most of it and pretty much played for kicks like I always do. I did like the overall frenzy, though. There's something about 2XP/reactivation weekends that makes the game feel festive.

Herds. Gigantic room-filled-with-a-sea-of-waving-Rikti-swords herds.

Arbiter Fabulous Task Force.
Several teams running Freedom Phalanx in cowboy hats, underwear and body glitter.
It was FAAABULOUUUS!! -
Okay, new crisis arose - my {ancient} mouse, well, is also on the way out - the thumb button broke its axis holder, and with no way to fix it, so I guess I'll need to replace it as well. Anyone have firsthand experience with Microsoft's Sidewinder X5, and if so, is it a worthwhile investment?
-
Yeah, that's pretty much where I am - I'm not sure how feasible ordering from the US would be, considering the shipping costs and customs charges.
Also, I've had... consistently bad experiences with ATI, so I'm pretty much ignoring anything in that department. -
Since my original card is dying {well, technically it's just the fan that's giving out, but since I'll be out shopping for replacement anyway...}, I just thought to check - is $107 a passable price for a "nVidia XFX 9600GT 512Mb DDR3 650M with native HDMI"?
Or, given that hardware upgrades aren't frequent for me, would I get better value {mid-to-long term} for a 9800GT at $132? -
Quote:Actually, the latest AE powerlevelling tool got nerfed into oblivion yesterday and I doubt they'll find another exploit before 2XP runs out.Who cares about no 2xp in AE.
AE PL is already fast.
Give it up already.
As for AE itself, it's of interest to me because I was planning to promote my lowbie arc by taking all the freshly rolled characters through it - without 2XP, any interest in AE will bottom out in favor of more boring, but far more profitable non-AE missions. -
But if DP were as sub-par as you claim, then wouldn't the increased spawns from the overall team size obliterate them right back? Heck, the supposed weakness of DP would be exacerbated in missions, leading to mass wipes as eight-man spawns would emerge to match the underpowered eight-man teams.

There was last time, and the patch of the latest AE farm seems too coincidental not to draw a connection.

Mixed feelings.
On one hand, I like the uniqueness of a name, even if most of the good ones are taken.
On the other hand, I like the idea of a fluid server environment this would bring us closer to.
Thus /unsigned, but only somewhat. -

Yeah, been there, tried that. Gonna go with /petition, actually, see if the support knows anything about it.

Does anyone know if there are new rules when it comes to claim base items via your vet rewards? Specifically, claiming them multiple times.
I'm trying to get multiple sets of Weapon Racks reward {for my Wall-O-Guns}, but I can only claim it once on each character. The button to claim it stays there, but after the first time, nothing happens.
Any ideas? -
Hmm. Okay, how about this... in other places, you can donate your body to science - in Paragon, you can donate it to public service.

Would be nice, but I don't see it happening.
/signed ineffectually -

Quote:Hollllymotherofcr**, that's ugly.Unfortunately....Champions seems to enjoy the Liefield proportions and extends it to tails, but anyway, for a good set of variety (note I left the defalut blue-yellow colors on)
PS: Please don't embed huge, layout-breaking images, okay? -
Quote:It's not that big of a stretch, if they can really hammer out that tricky "within game balance" bit.Yeah, pretty much this. I think the OP totally didn't see the whole "Mission Architect improvements" heading above that line.
Besides, a} pure speculation disclaimer and b} can you imagine the chaos if they announced the Incarnate archetype as an upcoming feature? -
Quote:Your wish has been retroactively granted.Thank you devs! I just hope that they fix so belts and tails is no more the same costume piece.

Actually, I remember a post by... Manticore, maybe? that the reason the street crime is so rampant in Paragon is because there's such a safety net - yeah, you might get horribly murderized for trying to steal that purse, but the hospitals will patch you up just as well as they would any hero. Thus, with the risk of terminal consequences drastically reduced, it's no wonder so many of those criminals go right back out after breaking out of the Pyramid Sponge.

To threadjack just a little, what are the HoF requirements anyhow?
-
You could make an explanation that you're still in AE - after entering the Matrix, it proceeds to simulate not only the mission, but the actual world outside.
