I really hope Going Rogue has about a million new costume pieces.

This is one of the most requested features in the game.

BTW, those 'deadly' cysts go down in about five seconds if you spot them early and know what you're doing.
Generally on a TF, an even mix is reccomended. Tankers and scrappers to charge into battle and take the heat, Defenders and Controllers to support them, Blasters to do additional damage, and Kheldians can fill in for any role that the team is lacking. -
I'd probably PL more if I had the connections or patience, because I love getting new powers and pools, and exploring everything I can do with a character. I want those epic power pools NOW!
-
I think there's probably already been deconstructions of the superhero concept that explore how dangerous superheroes that are an authority unto themselves would be. It works okay if you've got a handful of characters in a specific area (Spider-man and Batman work outside the law and deal with the consequences) it tends to be okay, but with hundreds of superheroes... well, call it a necessary break from reality to accomodate us.

Still, some humans do think that way. Look at the Malta group.
I think the balancing force is that there's enough superheroes on every side to balance each other out. Nazi Germany had its own supers, as would Soviet Russia, and the Rogue Isles have enough advanced military and supervillains on payroll (in theory) to defend itself from any hero incursion.
I think the key difference is that the world's most powerful supers are quite responsible, and seek to lead by example- especially Statesman, who chose to serve and protect the people rather than ruling them, and decided to be responsible with the vast power he had gained. And it kinda makes sense really; being able to throw cars around doesn't mean you'd do a good job ruling the world. -
Quote:There's many more like him.*sigh* Are you one of Jack's exes? i have never seen anyone so persistent about belittling, deriding and bad-mouthing someone, and everything they are involved with, as you are about Jack without a direct personal relationship being at the heart of it.
Show me on the flowchart where the bad man touched your game. -
I might make a Rad/DP Defender or something similiar.
My DP will be peppermint-flavoured. -
Quote:A lot of the early episodes have been lost, they're lucky if they can find the audio tracks. Why they starting with that.... why not start from the start? They skipped 12 full story lines!
I been attempting to catch up a bit with the old stuff on youtube. Last I watched was mid the Daleks's arc (funny to see them so inferior there, needing metal floors to move among other things.)
Anyways, tomorrow my packing starts, TV and computer desk are going away on their merry trip to Baltimore where I'll reunite with them in 2 weeks (sleeping in the floor until then should prove fun.) I don't think I'll be able to do any more catching up until I get there. -

Just roll up a short, bearded Shield/Mace scrapper and make yourself some Orcs in the MA.

Storm, it looks and sounds cooler.

Between the RAs, Fort, Rez and Adrenalin boost, Empathy seems to be one of those sets that benefits from lots of +recharge.

What he said. ^ The entire job description of Tankers and Scrappers is to run into the mob and start killing things, with the rest of the team follows. Blasters don't need to pull, they just line up their AoEs and let rip while the mobs are distracted.
It's easier than it looks. -
I've had a teammate complain about knockback on a TF, then a mission later they realised they were the only member who wasn't doing loads of knockback.
It's useful. It's fun. It's something you have to work around. You're not a stupid mob who blindly follows targets everywhere, you're a thinking, reasoning player who can adapt to changing circumstances. -
Quote:You seriously are. You're about the only other sane one here mind you.I must be seriously behind on some info here. I thought this Loyalist/Resistance thing was a game you were all playing on the forums. I didn't know that these would be actual factions that you have to choose from.
And when I feel like the sane one, you know things are getting real. -
For heroes, Blasters, Scrappers and Tankers are all the easiest to play. Don't be afraid to have more than one of each, this game encourages altitis after all.
For villains, Brutes are simple as pie, while Masterminds are a bit tricky but very rewarding. Stalkers and even Dominators are probably also not too hard to get the hang of. -
Instead of flip-flopping between two sets of emoticons can they just add more?

CO is new and shiny and making an effort to get the best publicity. It'll burn out.

Quote:Pocket D. Learn it, love it.True, Faultline is just such a horror to get to. Seriously, tram line? Please?
I think I just find the contact layout Redside much easier to get my head around. I end up losing track of which zones go and do what blueside. Its al over the place. If we could get the other contacts having the yellow box pop ups like newer contacts (Darren Wade, Sister Airla, Ashley McKnight, etc.) then it might be easier.
I chalk it up to another round of DOOOOOOOOOM, made slightly worse than usual by CO fanboys and websites trolling to stir up publicity. This game's doing fine and has been for years.
