Apples and Oranges, sure, but I'd take CoD because it's a great power. If you were planning on going Gloom, there is no need to take CoF anyway.
The controversy, or dispute, is between Fear and Gloom. CoD is just a really nice stealth power. -
I have animations get skipped and the orange number also with my Katana/ but the enemies red bar does go down. Not sure if it's on my PC or the ISP or server. Irritating that it's confusing, but I haven't looked into it.
The damage is done, but I don't see the damage happening. -
I recently discovered the massive help that Vengeance is. Keep it on auto if you can so you just select the stiff and it can go off before they rez themselves.
And on-topic, any way you can get some Rech on there will work, you just can't slot it direct. Def/Rech and Heal/Rech...I don't remember what it takes. I find just slotting it with 2 Def and 2 Heal gets us what we need and if people are dying so fast that I'd need the rech then we're screwed anyway. -
Well, I'm gonna fall on the Rule of Averages and think that maybe it's not CoH possibly. Though it might definately be. A slight shock on a chip doesn't manifest itself overnight, checking things overall is a good idea.
I, personally, would vac the cat hair out of my PC [may not apply to you especially since you were working in there recently.] Do a total uninstall, reinstall of CoH. Maybe even put in the wrong driver and then the correct one again. You know how PCs are funny like that, chance it then change it back and it works fine.
My advice might be crap though. Ymmv. -
- Stealth specific, as their primary function, toggles untoggle each other.
- Superspeed is not a stealth power, but can function as one, so not detoggled.
- IOs are great for saving a power when getting your stealth on.
- Never trust a stealth buff from someone else, you'll get killed.
-
Really sorry I missed it, but having ten would also be an odd number [even number, but two teams of five is awkward.]
This next week, I'm thinking maybe have a team that runs contact missions. I haven't run a single one on my Frad and I'm not sure if she's even done the Midnighter's arc. And I've really never been one to do diddly from a contact, it's all TF and Radio with me usually.
You shoulda posted the picture. -
Pretty fun except for my getting lost a few times and also taking an Ouro portal someone lay down at totally the wrong time.
I didn't die, but I did get to use Vengeance off Sori twice.
I'm going to make a second "Shard" build with flight, rec-friend...maybe just carry a bucket of blues and tp it. -
Quote:Just looked at the Red Tomax guide...uh...I'll just do what I'm told. I've got Vidiot maps installed so that helps.Check the Red Tomax link at the bottom of the post. It lists all the missions. You can also look at VidiotMaps as to where each of the locations is for when it says "Go to xxx location".
Doesn't seem as scary as "33 missions" when it's really a huge patrol. -
Didn't have any time to do a decent job, sorry, but here's a mess that might show you what's needed.
If you get melee, like that sword you skipped, you would be able to slot it with KC and not like I slotted brawl.
NOTE - [to critics] I KNOW I BROKE THE RULE OF FIVES ABOUT FIVE TIMES.
But, even with all the rule of five breaking, Mids is taking that into account and you're at 48% S/L.
And clearly this is overkill. You don't need but five of the 3.75, any more won't do anything, so don't get freaked that there are only 10 slots left. This is a framework, remove the stuff you don't like and add the stuff I skipped. I did keep all your powers, and you don't need that sword, but...actually, I think KC is much more expensive than Oblits right now, but you could always go with Haymaker, etc, Touch of Death.

You'll need some melee and ice armor. Touch of Death...stuff like that.
-
-
So why does Death Shroud get bad DPS? In missions it gets great damage.
-
People at least used to team spine with /Dark for some good AoE. I don't know if this is very farmy or not. It would work, but I don't know what is considered fast farming.
-
It depends on what you want. Conveniently, unlike Scrappers, the epic pools don't suck. Not a one of them.
I've never seriously thought about capping the S/L of a blaster, but with some melee and ice ancillary and lots of inf, you can.
Force, and there is a thread on this now, has PFF which rocks. All have a shield, but I find Munitions to be weak. I don't care if it's auto. -
Quote:Dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun.>_> well....quite honestly nothing is very "wrong" about it.....its just not a very popular theme. Also the sfx that it comes loaded with are some of the most irratating in the game.
Rrrrraaaarr.
I can never play one. I never got past 2. -
PFF so needs to be nerfed, and that's why you should take it.
-
You're talking secondaries really. Though I tend to think of ATs as far as their role within the team. Anything you want works.
-
Wow, that would be lame considering the recharge.
Let me ask stupid questions:
1. When you pick the mish, you highlight it, the press the button at the bottom of the dialog box to set the mish.
2. Uh...geez, I dunno. if you do what's in one, that's freaky.
Maybe test it on a team where you aren't leading. Dunno. I would do that though before contacting the tech support. -
I've gotten QR once, Hightened Senses once, and otherwise it's the movement one about 6 or so times. And +2.5 mph sucks.
-
Do you team? With the way you talk about blasters, it sounds like you may not really understand aggro and damage mitigation. I get most of my mitigation in the form of teams.
Some ATs rocks socks. Some combinations aren't the best for certain things. If you want to see power, get a katana/wp scrapper or a ill/anything controller. Those don't die easy.
Some types are best for solo, some best for PvP, some best for farming, etc. Some support toons, like a Fire/Rad, when gathered together, are one of the most hellacious teams in the game.
Also, many toons bloom late. I've never gotten a spines/ to 20 because of this. [Plus, I hate the sound of quills]
Learn the game. If it were really really hard, we'd all be talking about it.
That said, I don't play some ATs. I don't Tank due to the responsibilities to the team and my feeling that I can't see everything at once. Though helping the team doesn't bother me as a controller. Mostly, I'm a scrapper at heart.
Edit - Oh, but with i17 there are some serious difficulty variations between missions, radio missions, so that a level 0 diff will still spawn +2 and twice as many enemies as it should. These are too hard, imo, and get ridiculous if you have the wrong team, or Leeroy Jenkins on your team. -
My quicky advice for learning this game:
1. Pick Freedom Server so you get tons of people around.
2. Do the sewers so you can get out of Atlas Park once you're past 10. You can head to Kings Row under 10 also. But Atlas is a cesspool on Freedom.
3. Shouts of "Level 12 Kin/AR Defender LFT" isn't bad, but won't get good results 100% of the time. Often, you'll see some really horrible gameplay by at least one member of the team.
4. Server channels are well and good, but also go to the forum here for your server.
5. Eventually learn how to make money. Doing missions won't cut it if you want to excel.
6. Katana/WP scrapper is really hard to kill. The damage output is not that great compared to other scrappers of you're using Divine Avalance to boost your defense, but that's what it's there for. Blasters are also great if you understand aggro, which you would.
I discourage the lower population servers. They don't have any more good players as a percentage than the larger ones. In fact a massive migration happened in Dec when server transfers were free, so they dropped in population massively.
And don't be afraid to form teams. If you "LFT" you won't be heard by the teams in the missions. But if you shout "Radio Team LFM" you'll get bombarded by the people who've been shouting LFT.
Also, the find mentioned above, is a good advice.
It takes a while to figure out how this works, but the player classes are so diversified compared to other mmos you'll probably dig it once you see how things can work together. It's not tank/healer/damage here. and that's great. -
Not 2m. You can get three of them for 150k and one of them for 300k. I think it's the gloves that hit you for 300k.
- Back Street Brawler Gloves
- Statesman Mask
- Lord Recluse Mask
- Hamidon Costume
As for getting to the green line easy, going through SC is probably not the best way to do it. I'd suggest getting to Pocket-D, either by jogging through KR or the booster pack TP. Then exit at Talos. It's a two block jog to the east rather than a mile through SC.
Or fly with a raptor pack, there are several ways to get those. -
Edit - quoted wrong person. This is Re: death in first 5 min.
We did the same but didn't restart. Didn't matter once we got to the Weakened Hami. We didn't have the right ATs for it. No taunt. My scrapper had to jump each time to make a hit. Hami ate it, but the issues with the mitos sucked. At least one death each time.
But, I've learned something. Bring the ill/ controller.
