Vengeance Question

This is specifically about the Widow version, but applies to the Pool Power version too.

Mids' shows that this power does not accept standard Recharge enhancements, but shows that it does benefit from global +Recharge, and from Recharge enhancement from Hami-O's and set IOs slotted in it. I've never taken any Vengeance powers before so I'm not sure if this is correct, or an oversight in Mids'. Can anyone confirm or deny that Vengeance benefits from +Recharge?

Vengeance benefits from Global Recharge. Vengeance also benefits from enhancements slotted that provide recharge or increased attack rate. As of last night at 1am this benefit from recharge was still true and has been true for quite some time. I use Vengeance a lot (understatement).

As Smurphy said, Vengeance benefits from +recharge of all forms. The only thing special about Vengeance is it disallows normal Recharge enhancements (TO/DO/SO/common IOs, not set). That change (or was that since the start?) was put in place since long before they made it so powers could ignore recharge modifications (WP's T9 was the first, I believe), and unless there's an issue with Vengeance being abused it's unlikely that Vengeance will be modified to take advantage of that functionality.

I recently discovered the massive help that Vengeance is. Keep it on auto if you can so you just select the stiff and it can go off before they rez themselves.

And on-topic, any way you can get some Rech on there will work, you just can't slot it direct. Def/Rech and Heal/Rech...I don't remember what it takes. I find just slotting it with 2 Def and 2 Heal gets us what we need and if people are dying so fast that I'd need the rech then we're screwed anyway.

Membranes work nicely.


Better and simpler just to allow recharge enhancements. Yes, it's an excellent power, but the duration is limited. And the already complex enhancement system becomes easier to teach to newbies if all recharge times can be modified in simple ways.

Either that, or stick to the non-customizable system all other MMOs use, where recharge times cannot be changed for anything. That's simple, too. (Though dumb.)
