I mean, I'm not saying what we're actually talking about in this topic is a mistake, but how out of touch with reality do you have to be to seriously believe people will "realize there will be soon be something worth paying for" by playing the game that's still in the same state than when they left ? The only way people who left can know about the new stuff coming is by reading the forums or looking up information elsewhere, in other words, stuff outside of the game ; only a minority is going to care enough to do that, and account reactivation is irrelevant to that - except that it lets that minority laugh at crazy fanboys in public.

*And* you're talking about I17, not GR... I've looked up a bit and all I can see about it is ultra-mode, four story arcs and QoL improvements ; nothing to make me want to resub, nothing to make anyone want to resub without any other reason. If there's something awesome about I17, they've done a really good job at hiding the information.

Craftable temp powers are going to be easier to make ! You can have seven missions active instead of three ! Yeah, sorry, I can't see anyone who's left the game excited about coming back because of that. It's mostly stuff to improve the experience of current players - which isn't a bad thing at all, it's just not the same target audience.

Dispari's hypothesis makes much more sense.

Ok not nearly that bad but man oh man what greed can do to people. It's sad. I am quite sure many players can barely afford to play this game with today's economic state but that doesn't stop companies from screwing us over whenever possible. Why should video games be any different. I am sure some of these company execs would sell their kids if it meant turning an extra buck.

Well, I am not too upset with NC Soft but will not be getting GR early. I want to know exactly what's in it first and then make up my mind. This game has been underwhelming for the last while and I can't assume GR is going to revolutionize this game. I hope it will and make me eager to play again. Sadly, I haven't logged into this game for a bit. So much potential...help us War Witch, you're our only hope...

The devs have learned from doing that before, and that exactly happening on the forums, so not surprising that he isn't giving a time frame because he really doesn't know when he'll be able to get away from GR.

From what I remember you are the dev that deals with the base building community. Base bulding is one of the best part about this game for me and many others. But we have not gotten any info or base love for a long time now. We got a reduction of costs for I13, but no new items or anything. What I guess that I am asking is there any changes coming to bases or is this a waste of our time to keep asking for change?
