Yay, very nice, Red! =^_^=
Must've been tons of work to put it all together! =O_O=
*sends Red Zero some peppermints* -
Sometimes the NPC villain will follow me out of the station, sometimes it won't.
And when it does, he might get stuck at some point. And by "stuck" I mean that the NPC villain just stands there, not responding to me being close, not attacking nearby heroes/cops/objects/civilians... just stands there. -
You're suppsed to escort the villain to the map exit? =0_o= Geez, and I thought the reward was having an NPC helping you out in the fights. <_<
I guess if you're playing a non-fighting type, having an NPC along would be useful, and you can escort him out after you rob the bank.
As far as the clues go, the PPD station, the map exit, and the bank are all on the map when you start, but clues that lead to other spots are added when you get that clue. At least, that's what I've seen. <_<
However, the first time I did the Atlas map, we didn't get a clue for the villian in the PPD station, but we heard about him from the villains talking. It was only the next time through, which also had a villain incarcerated, did we notice that we couldn't just enter the station and free a non-existant villain... we had to beat the stuffin's out of the baddies to get a poster. -
Yeah, I'm thinking that, at the very least, ol' Blue needs to be one of the various Heroes that come after villains in Mayhem Missions, especially the ones in Kings Row. >_>
No idea what powers he is, but using Council Ascendent shield powers would probably be included.. -
Until recently, I didn't realize that yellow was at the top of the E, F, and G rows. I thought that yellow was the G row, and green was the E row.
To my eyes, those three rows look identical (that is, the columns seem to be the same colors). So that meant some Icon visits to make my red-and-green heroes into the red-and-gold (yellow, really) heroes that they're supposed to be! =^_^= -
Wow, massive thread! =O_O=
Okay, I did my first Mayhem Mission last night with my level 40 brute. I got Brickstown to fight in. I ran around, SMASHing all sorts of containers, and pretty much anything that I could target. Engaged a few Psi cops, as well as the drones (nice that we can fight them), and racked up several minutes worth of time. I started in the mission with about 16 minutes, and after I got to 25 minutes, I went to the bank. But, first, I did a little "side-quest"...
I acquired a key, that lead to a warehouse filled with Council. Beat them up and found a Shotgun. Not an Assault Rifle with the Shotgun power, but an actual Shotgun graphic (with 15 shots in it). Very nice, and something we asked for back when the Holy Shotgun Shells appeared in Strige.
I liked the layout of the bank now, as it's a little more twisty, and it's nice how the civvies just stand there scared. Put down every guard I found, as well as a couple of Longbow ambushes, and took out the vault door with no interruptions (I got a message that "backup" was coming, but guards didn't bother me until I left the vault room area).
However, my Elite Boss at the end was Infernal! =o_o= Gah, that was a surprise. I mean, I knew I'd get a named hero, but Infernal? Blah. =>_<=
However, Overload, plus a mess of inspirations, meant a downed Hero (as well as his 4 Demon Overlords that he summoned), and a nice bonus at the end (extra health for 24 hours).
I thought that the whole end fight was ridiculously tough for a soloing villain (even though I had Overpower to help, that wouldn't apply if I was, say, a Corruptor or Dominator), until I went to get another mission and noticed that I was on Vicious. >_>
All in all, quite fun to do, and now I want to try a lower level version on my new Elec/Elec brute, just to see how the lowbie Mayhem Missions work out. -
Welcome, Cricket!
*gives Crickkie a tin of peppermints* =^_^= -
Oh no, not the server! =>_<=
*puts up a collection tin for RedTomax*
*manges to collect 3 pennies, a bit of string, some used bubblegum, and a ball of lint*
. . .
*adds some peppermints to the collection to make it look better* >_> -

It's good!
Anyhow, those pics I snagged off the forums from the early days of CoH. Well before Issue 1, I believe. -

My problem is that the hidden contacts are for a 5 level range, instead of being larger. Is there any reason they can't be allowed for 10 levels, at least?
-
I note that the Top Secret page mentions the arsonists in Steel (burning buildings event), but it also states that it happens in Skyway. Is this a typo, or are there burning buildlings in Skyway too, now?
Yeah, and I'd also like to know about Battalion.... >_> -
Okay, Marrowsnap I know, as that's the Bone Daddy on the first mission for the Bonefire arc. But who is Marrow Drinker?
The final mission in that arc has Battallion (Hellions) and Bonebreaker (Skuls) for bosses.
And it'd be nice if the NPC text for the lowbie missions made reference to the Marrow boys. That way, when we meet Marrowsnap at the beginning of Bonefire, we can say "Hey, it's him!". Might want to give him a bit of a graphics re-do, so he looks unique. -

You might need to buff Giant Monsters then. There's not one in the game that requires more than one team to defeat.

Will do.

Um, assuming this wasn't a smart-alecky reply... what about KRONOS? I mean, he's a Giant Monster in that outside encounter. But he's also an ambush.. and a fast approaching one, at that. If the hero's group can take him on, cause it now requires more than one group, then hoo-boy... is Founders Falls gonna have a some free-roaming KRONOS about...
... then again, there would be those happy with such a thing. >_> -

"There's not enough good chinese restaurants in Paragon City. It's odd considering all the cat girls running around." - Unnamed Tanker roleplaying.

Best that he remain "unnamed". >_>

I like Barrage, myself. Couple of punchy fists, makes my tanker look tough.
I've got it slotted with three damage and one acc, since it doesn't use much endurance, and it recharges fast enough, I'm not going to put more slots into it, when those slots could be more useful on other attacks/defenses.
If I have some "leftover" slots later on (late 30s, in the 40s), then I'll put another slot into it. -
No togas for catgirls? =0_o=
Nooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! =>_<=
>_>
Oh, wait, mew'll just stuff the tail down a pantleg. Problem solved! =^_^= -
Well, do you need to do the first mission from your side? I mean, yeah, if it's your mission, but if you're doing another same-side-person's mission... ?
-
When I log in with my level 50s, I get a variety of invites for groups. If I'm in a group, I get tells asking if I'd quit and join them. My bubbler gets queried if she's a healer all the time and my ice blaster is assumed to be a sniper, for some reason (wasn't aware that being a sniper is critical to all blasters =0_o=).
If you're being sidekicked, do not run off to see what's ahead, out of sidekick range.
If you're sidekicking somebody, do not Super Speed off and leave your sidekick to fight a mess of suddenly-purples.
If you're having a conversation with somebody, do not leave the channel in Broadcast mode. All of Steel, Talos, PI, whereever, doesn't need to hear a one-sided chat. -
Issue 1: Level 40-50 content including Peregrine Island and Crash Site, outdoor zones (but for 40-50 only), Icon, and new emotes. Much complaining is down about lack of pre-40 stuff.
Issue 2: Hollows and Shadow Shard, badges, capes and auras. Much complaining is done about seriously ramped up difficulty (level 5 Outcasts with full elemental powers, anyone?), as well as complaints that Hollows is too low, Shard too high (and repetitive, which is a problem that still exists).
Issue 3: Striga Island, Kheldians, Ancillary Powers. Much complaining is done about no more 5th Column, "khelds suck" (which they sort did at the time), no more 5th Column, wondering why there was only one new zone when the previous two had two new zones, and no more 5th Column.
Issue 4: Arena and new costumes. Much complaining is done about... well, almost everything: arena isn't balanced, arena is empty, no new zones, no new missions, massive "nerfs" (from a player's perspective), missing costume parts (the old skirts and suit jackets), and no more 5th Column.
Issue 5: Croatoa, four new powersets. Much complaining is done about lack of skills (but we get Universities!), lack of tanker/scrapper powersets (as well as blaster secondaries and controller primaries), more "nerfs" (again, from the player's perspective) this time on defense and resists, why is Croatoa 25-34 instead of 30-39?, and, to beat a dead horse, no more 5th Column.
Issue 6: 3 new pvp zones.... and I can't think of other CoH stuff. =0_o= Much complaining is done for, well, the same reason (sure, if you bought CoV, then you've got lots to do, but those who didn't, but still have to download that monster...).
Issue 7: Well, we'll see just what, exactly, these "upgrades" are like for CoH... but we already have much complaining.... >_> -
I realize this thead hasn't been responded to for a bit, but since it was linked elsewhere, I thought I'd add my thoughts....
From when Croatoa was on Test, I was to understand that the defeat badges for Croatoa critters were 300 "points" worth of that enemy type, in which a minion counts as 1, Lts. count as 2, and Bosses count as 3. This still allows for the "defeat 100 bosses" type badge that's offered from the original badges of Issue 2, but also lets players beat on non-bosses for credit.
And you can find ghosts hanging around the graveyard (henge area that you have to defend in Buck's final mission), as well as the farmhouses west of the train station (all at night, as mentioned above). -
Wow, I can actually do Tina McIntyre's first mission right off the bat! Not to mention the Praetorian War arc. And the Terra Conspiracy, Envoy of Shadows, and pretty much all of Maria Jenkins stuff. =^_^=
And for villains... well, that's a lot of Heroes and AVs that I won't worry so much about.
Um... any chance this change can be implemented before I7 comes out? This is such a good idea, I'd hate to have to wait until March (or whenever I7 comes) to see it in play. =O_O= <-- pleading kitty eyes

The main reason I held off on even getting a base for my CoV character is that I didn't want to have any rent until I actually had plenty of prestige, and a few, functioning rooms. I mean, if I had gotten a base right off the bat, but had nothing but the entrance room and some decorations, what would be the point, since I'd get charged rent on that.
Once I got a few people into my SG, I decided to get the base (as it's a nice, social area for SG members), and managed a few rooms. I wasn't going to worry about rent, since it will still be some time (and a lot of prestige) before we can purchase energy and control units, as well as a functioning workroom (i.e. small room, one workbench that gets switched out when needed).
Now it looks like we'll have to lose prestige for rent, even though we haven't gotten anywhere near the ability for those aforementioned things, and worse, not paying for it, we'll just lose access to the base entirely. And you can't simply "give back" the base either. Once you get a base, your SG will always have a base, even if it's just an entrance room with no decorations.
Love the bases, love decorating bases, don't mind the prestige cost as much as I thought I would (please add cheaper things that don't serve any raid purpose, though), but give some thought to the SGs that can't "prestige farm" stuff, due to low membership, shorter play hours, etc.
