A nice beginning. I really love Croatoa too, so I'm going to help you clear up a few gaps and inaccuracies. Feel free to integrate this into later versions of your guide if you like.
The kill badges are not for 100 of the creatures. The Haunted badge even says it's awarded for banishing 'hundreds' of ghosts from these lands. Popular opinion is that it's 333 of each type. I think someone has actually counted to be sure, but it certainly wasn't me.
Other Croatoa badges:
Believer - Awarded for Defeating Sally twice. Sally can typically be found out in the lake, appearing every hour or so. One hit will take her down, so don't shoot until you're ready.
Giant Killer - Awarded for defeating Jack in Irons. Jack is a Giant Monster who spawns either in the SW area of Croatoa, or up in the Grim Vale with Eochai, where they'll fight it out.
Pumpkin King - Awarded for defeating Eochai. Eochai is a Giant Monster who spawns either in the SE area of Croatoa, or up in the Grim Vale with Jack, where they'll fight it out.
If you're having trouble finding these, most servers have a global channel where monster alerts are typically posted that can be a big help.
Grim Wanderer, Ensorcelled, Spiritual - Exploration badges in Croatoa. Check your favroite map site for hints on where to find them
Alumnus - Awarded for touching all the History Plaques about Croatoa (one is in Atlas Park). Again, your favorite map site will help finding these.
Cabalist - Awarded for completing Katie Hannon's Task Force. (You can find her right beside where you get the Ensorcelled badge) You get access to this by completing Buck Salinger's missions, and only the leader need have access to start a task force.
X Times the Victor - Awarded for defeating Mary Macomber during the task force, at Ten Times the Victor, you get access to the Witch Hat as a costume piece.
As a note, Katie's TF is one of the best in CoH, challenging and entertaining without turning into the tedious timesink that virtually all the others are. Even if you're not a big fan of TFs, you should do this one at least once.
For the hunt badges, you'll get a substantial portion of most of them doing the missions, even you're doing them solo. Fir Bolg and Tuatha are easy to find in missions, and plentiful in and around Salmanaca. The Task Force is great for finishing up your Red Cap and/or Sorceress hunting badges. If you're not up for that, both are also found in quantity in the northern parts of Croatoa. Ghosts, on the other hand, tend to be a bit scarcer. They don't appear in nearly as many missions, and only spawn at night. Although they do spawn in town, the best place I've found to hunt them is south of Salmanaca.
Complete all the Croatoa badges and you'll receive the Geas of the Kind Ones Accolade, which boosts your attack rate, accuracy and endurance recovery, but hurts your defense.
I realize this thead hasn't been responded to for a bit, but since it was linked elsewhere, I thought I'd add my thoughts....
From when Croatoa was on Test, I was to understand that the defeat badges for Croatoa critters were 300 "points" worth of that enemy type, in which a minion counts as 1, Lts. count as 2, and Bosses count as 3. This still allows for the "defeat 100 bosses" type badge that's offered from the original badges of Issue 2, but also lets players beat on non-bosses for credit.
And you can find ghosts hanging around the graveyard (henge area that you have to defend in Buck's final mission), as well as the farmhouses west of the train station (all at night, as mentioned above).

LOL. AWESOME VIDEO.
One note on the Believer badge: if on a team, a Sally kill counts for eeryone on a team, so you could get the beliver badge without ever seeing Sally! (you do need to be in the zone though)
I was in Croatoa the other day and someone broadcasted "Sally is up, PST to form team and share the kill". I thought that was an awesome idea.
I'll do it too next time I see her, even if I run the risk of some bozo running over and killing her without joining the team. Several of my toons have the Beliver badge, so it's not too hard to get if you do the Croatoa arcs.
Hello to all that read this. My name is Magical act and I love Croatoa. When I was first sent there I fell in love with the area as soon as I stepped into the zone. Everyday there looks like halloween. I have been there since lvl 24 and now 32. So to show my love of Croatoa I am making a guide for heroes in Croatoa about the monsters there and the badges you get for defeating them.
Part 1. Back Ground
Croatoa is a part of Paragon City that is slowly being pulled into the spirit world. The enemies are the Red Caps, the Cabal, the Tuatha, the Ghosts of Croatoa and least but not least the Fir Bolg.
Enemies and the badges you get for them
Enemy: Red Caps
Red caps are evil gnomes basically who have trapped the Fir Bolg and the Tuatha and have pitted them against each other. The mortal enemies of the Red Cap are the Cabal.
Badge Earned: Cap Buster
How to recieve it: Take out 100 Red Caps. I actually got this badge in 1 mish. Quickest Way: Have a party of 8 and have the mish set at least on rugged. You dont get any Red Cap mishes until you get your third contact there a retired magic hero. If you still need to find some head towards War Witch's area and hunt around plenty there. Fighting Style:
Careful though Red Caps are deadly at any range. Rascals really aren't that hard but Hooligans(Lts.) and Fiends(Bosses) can use attacks like Burning Arrow. The boss can throw rascals at you that land on your head pounding you untill they explode.
Ghosts: The desceased residents of Croatoa are confused and scared, they even destroy their old home out of confusion.
Halfway through your first Croatoa contact you will get 2 ghost mishes but you will get more from your second contact there.
Badge Earned: Haunted
This one is pretty easy you should get it just by going through your missions. However if you still need more there is a graveyard in Salamanaca. At night it is swarmed by ghosts go in a badge party or by yourself.
Please note: This badge is not the same as the badge you get for defeating the crew of the ghost ships ectoplasmic.
Fighting Style: Ghosts attack with a wierd combination. It looks like they use transfusion and a re-animated version of Dark Blast only green.
The Cabal:
The mortal enemies of the Red Caps. The Cabal are the female version of the Circle of Thorns. They are basically Storm/Electric defenders. They use ghosts and tuatha for some of their spells and its up to you to stop them.
Badge Earned: Spell Binding
How to get it: Just like all the other badges for the Croatoa enemies just beat 100. I got this badge in one mission without ever fighting them before. Again a good 8-hero on rugged should do it You get your first mission against the Cabal from your first contact. It's the last one Gordan Bowser gives you. Your second contact gives you a cabal mission or two. If you need more still go through town where you can see them fighting the Tuatha and the Bolg.
Fighting Style: Again Storm/ Electric. They can fly and use Air Superiority. Lts. can use hurricane and 02 boost to help their allies.
Tuatha: The gigantic guardians of the forest. They used to be human but are now the behemoths you see before you. They are pitted in an eternal battle against the bolg.
Badge Earned: Bane of Dannan
How to get it: Just go through your contacts' mishes you will get it by some miracle you dont go to Salamanaca or the Misty Wood.
Fighting Style: They are able to hurl boulders, Quicksand, and can Animate stone but only the bosses can do that.
Fire Bolg:
Last but not least the Fir Bolg. Again they used to be people but have been turned into viney pumpkin headed monsters. The Red Caps have bound them to Croatoa as well and are forced to fight. Although they are small in stature they pack a fiery personallity and their bosses the towering Strengs are a force to be reckoned with.
Badge Earned:
Pumpkin Master
How to earn it:
Same as Tuatha just do the mishes and you will get it If not you can find them almost anywhere in Croatoa.
Closing:
Hope this guide helps all the heroes trecking through this amazing place If you see me around there and have a question just ask
