Quote:There's your answer right there. And I'm not saying that to be snarky (well, maybe a littleLet's call me an average gamer. Heck, go for below average.
), but your statement right there is the crux of the entire issue. You said before you worked almost solely with SO builds, yet now you want to jump immediately to the absolute most expensive & rarest items in the game? Do you really not see the disconnect there?
Quote:2 billion per enhancer. Not per set, per enhancer.
Quote:Your average player, even after years, will never get these rewards for even one of their toons. That is not attractive to your average gamer. That is my postulate. If it is not attractive to your average consumer, it will fail. That is my conclusion.
On top of that, most players, including your 'average' & 'casual' player, understand the basic concept of rarity and loot tiers, and that it takes effort to achieve the best items in an MMO. -
Quote:Sure there is. It's called supply & demand. There is no underlying logic in the world that justifies 2 billion per enhancer in this game economy.
What is it about the concept of ULTRA-RARE that is so hard to grasp?
Quote:Yeah. I do not think the vast majority of the posters are feeling me.
Quote:i am a 42 month Vet. I did not arrive in the cities yesterday.
Quote:I am saying, there is no feasible way for anyone to get one toon fully tricked out with purples and PvP enhancers unless they 1) farm all day every day for a year. (farm, not play) 2) buy in game cash from china illegally.
Quote:couple of easy peasy fixes to the market.
A)Cap all market prices at 250 million. the only people who will cry about this are 1) Farmers 2) China Farmers 3) Farming China Farmers
Didn't take long for this tired old suggestion to show itself...
Quote:Let me clue you in to a little fact. Most people who get this game want to create and run characters. Most of the people who play this game want to earn rewards with their characters.
Think about it. Think about marketing a game. It is a game, remember. Stay with me now. A game is supposed to be fun. You remember fun, right?

Is this the same Defender AT that is capable of soloing AV's & GM's? I'd say they do plenty of damage.
Quote:I didn't say endurance was unmanageable. I didn't say it there, and I didn't say it here.

Quote:Yes, despite several threads, hundreds of posts, and some thread locks, Ultimo still cannot grasp the most basic game concept that a Defender's primary role is team support and a Blaster's is damage.Let me see if I understand this. Are you comparing a Defender's Secondary Power to a Blaster's Primary Power? And pointing out their disparity?
And despite another lengthy thread (that also resulted in a lock), he still insists that endurance use is unmanageable, despite dozens of posters giving him examples of ways to deal with it, even on builds that skip Stamina entirely.
I'm sure this thread is destined to be locked as well... -

Was it Dark Passage or Lady in the Lake?

Why would you think you would get more slots? If you slot your new inherent fitness powers exactly the same way as before, you're not losing anything, and you're getting the ability to take 3-4 new power choices. There is no reason for more slots. This game is already close to imbalanced as it is. The last thing we need is yet more power creep.

Go to Ouroboros and complete Lars' story arc. That should unlock Hess as a contact for the TF.

Message Forum Rules & Guidelines
Quote:6. Do not post about exploits.
Exploits should be reported through the proper method by filing a report at the NCsoft Support page (North American and European). Issues discovered while playing on the Training Room test servers should be noted in the Training Room forums. Discussions about unverified problems in the game can cause unnecessary panic in the community. When there is an issue the community needs to be aware of, we will make an official statement about it. -
Quote:Are you using the team search tool?Hello everybody; first and foremost I'm not writing this with the purpose of getting trolling responses, or smarty answers. And my apologies if this thread has been created somewhere else.
I have recently reactivated my account to see how the new content felt like about GR, and very excited about the new patch coming soon. But one little detail I have noticed, how do people level in this game to this date? The lack of groups is just horrendous, and all I see broadcast-ed at Maps with the AE facility is something like this: " Level 52+8 Farm = 10Mil a run Level 53+8 Farm = 25Mil a run and Level 54+8 Farms =50Mill a run PST for invite" Also people that are low level shouting: "Paying lowy Looking for Farm" And this is just what you see on the Broadcast channel... Along with the random IM's with Power leveling advertisements from many individuals, when you are playing a low level character.
By experience, the only farce in the game when you will be able to play in groups is if you make a new character in Praetoria until you hit level 20 and move on, it is almost impossible to find groups at low levels, and you will either be forced to solo your missions and have a lonely and slow leveling factor, or pay Millions of influence or infamy to get some levels. To be honest, if this what has became of CoX - The game is just not fun as it used to be, thank you Developers for offering greedy people and desperate unfortunate ones the option to create new exploits the game, will not be the first time, I'd say.
Thank you all for your responses, and for taking your time to read this.
Are you using global chat channels?
Have you tried forming your own teams?
Doing some combination of the above three things will solve 90% of teaming issues. Beyond that, when you encounter other players you enjoy playing with, add them to global friends. Perhaps even find an active SG of players with a playstyle that you enjoy. Wandering around and shouting 'LFT' in broadcast is about the worst possible way to get a team. -
Quote:And yet, I have been on multiple successful MoSTF runs where we had a Fire/Fire tank leading...No you're not, I don't care how good a player is there are certain challenges where even with an infinite amount of time you will fail without the right team. Like a MoSTF I would NEVER do with a Fire Tanker. I don't care how well built or how many billions of influence or how well that player can play his character there is still a huge inherent weakness compared to all of the other tanker secondaries.

Fury mechanics were altered in issue 18 to lower peak damage output for Brutes.
Issue 18 patch notes
Quote:# Decreased Brute Damage Cap from 850% to 775%.
# Modified the Brute Fury Formula so that there is a more gradual degradation of Fury Build Up while attacking/being attacked instead of a sharp fall off at 80%. The fall off begins at 30%.
# Reduced Fury Decay Rate from 2 points per second to 0.75 points per second.
# The overall result of these two changes to Fury Generation is that it will be easier to maintain low levels of Fury, while gaining very high levels of Fury will be more difficult. -
It must be true then!
Quote:And you are saying this to the person who has repeatedly, and accurately, described the design of the game, proven time and time and again superior ability in troubleshooting issues, and taken time to instruct other players in how the game works and why it works like it works.
Don't actively antagonize players that have a better handle on the game, it's design, and the game industry. Otherwise it will end poorly for you. -

Does Brute Fire Melee still pull ahead of Scrapper FM after the Fury nerf?

You might want to look up that term and attempt to get a better understanding of what it actually means.
Quote:I said the powerset sucks for survivability, I was told I suck.
Quote:Anyway, if you get so upset about me saying a powerset sucks
Quote:then ignore me and be done with it -
I can see that. Thanks for confirming the type of poster you are. Makes it easier for me to maintain my ignore list. And for the record, the only one using the word 'suck' around here is you. No one in this thread said "you suck" or anything even remotely close to that. But hey, hypersensitivity seems to be the 'in' thing around here lately..

The only thing ridiculous in this thread so far is your attitude. If you're deliberately trying to come across as obnoxious and rude as possible, congrats, you've succeeded...

Quote:Not if you want good DPS. Eagle's Claw is the 2nd lowest DPA attack in the entire set, which if used as you suggested, would result in some extremely low DPS, especially considering attacks don't begin recharging until their animation is complete.Eagle's Claw is the MA tier 9, you know, the heavy hitter. That is one you would want recharging fast.
MA attacks, sorted by DPA at level 50, unenhanced.
Storm Kick: 99.5
Crippling Axe Kick: 82.9
Cobra Strike: 73.4
Crane Kick: 73.4
Eagle's Claw: 64.8
Thunder Kick: 63.3
Or, to put another way, in less time than it takes for Eagle's Claw to animate (2.53s) for 164 damage, a MA scrapper could fire off Storm Kick & CAK (2.43s) for 215 points of damage. -
Quote:So, you're suggesting an attack chain consisting entirely of the 2nd lowest DPA attack in the set?Remember, you don't have enough global recharge until your attack chain is (and this is coming from my MA Scrappers...for other ATs and their attacks, replace appropriately) Eagle's Claw, Eagle's Claw, Eagle's Claw, Eagle's Claw.

With 87.5% global recharge, you'd be much better off taking Hasten, providing you can slot it fully with three slots. At 87.5% global, Hasten with three level 50 recharge IO's will only have a downtime of 7-8 seconds. The rest of the time you'd be running at 157.5% recharge.
If you could find another 15%-20% global recharge, you'll be close to perma-Hasten, with little to no downtime at all.
