The new code only allows pets to be affected by buffs. It still has to be set by a dev. The intention is that it be used by "virtual pets", used by such powers as Rain of Fire.
Generaly effect that targets the ground and has a duration uses an invisible pet as a target. There are some other powers which also use invisible pets. At the moment powers that work like this are not affected by buffs.
However, I expect that if a power becomes buffable it will also become debuffable.
I would say there is a chance that it is applied to Photon Seekers but no chance at all that WS pets get it. -
Nope, I had it on my NRG tanker, it is quick alright, but in end per sec it is very draining if you use it all the time.
-
Yup I would fill up your Kinetic Shield with EndRed while you are on TOs and not bother with the other shield. Barrage is a high end melee attack, if you are going to have it in your chain you will probably want to slot it with endreds. Aim to get stamina at level 20.

MoG is the only regen power that increases your defence, which among other things can prevent aoes de-hiding you.

The damage index for ET is pretty huge, which is why you can't get criticals on it. Before issue 6 I was one-shotting red minions with my tank using ET. The recharge is quite good and it animates fast too (which is more than I can say for TF).
I'm curious to see what happens when ET is combined with MoG, which is why I have created a NRG/regen stalker myself now.
How about this for a possible exploit: You are in a tight spot staring death in the face. You hit MoG, then use ET (dunno how many it would take) to kill yourself. When you cause your own death you get NO DEBT. You are now effectively invunerable, so just wait for the right moment and hit Revive. -
I suspect the reason for the weakness is that AR was designed to be a Blaster primary and Traps was designed to be a Mastermind secondary (where it fairs quite well).
-
One of my reasons for creating EM/Regen is I want to see if I can kill myself with Energy Transfer + MoG.
Should be a no-debter in theory. -
I would do the respec but save it for when when you reach the point when you really hate a power you have or when you decide there is another power you absolutly can't do without.
You are quite low level, and you can only get 3 respecs, so don't use them unless you really need them.
Also consider using the test server to try out various power combinations. -
Yes, the new changes make it possible for build up to affect photon seekers. Some dev still has to go in and edit the power, and I think keldians tend to get overlooked sometimes.
-
Yup, the keldians have the Fire aura with locaton set to eyes.
However when you use most Keldian powers your eyes blaze like that anyway (try looking at yourself from the front with one of your shields on). -
Also a sweeping generalisation and a slur on damage dealers.
I'm a naughty boy. -
It depends on AT somewhat. Playing as a Controller or Dominator for instance I find any delay is caused by deciding which power to use, not remembering what to press/click. Any mistakes are when I click the wrong one (Illusion/TA has a huge range of active powers).
Playing a damage dealer on the other hand you just have to click the next power in the chain, no decision needed. -
I think you can be completly invisible if you hit the mobs with smoke grenade first then turn on cloaking device.
-
Provke is supposed to be 5 targets max, same as taunt, but it could be bugged I guess, I don't know anyone who has it.
-
I'm building a scrapping PvE stalker with EM/Regen, they will likely nead Stamina, and I want to maximise my hit point recovery with Health anyway. Ultrascorpion will never be as uber as a pure stalker or regen scrapper though, poor chap.
-
True, but Arctic Air does work very well with Chilling Embrace, especially when Power Boosted. Ghetto Imobilise.
-
I've done plenty of gaming, but I hate FPS. Give me a good RPG or even a good old fasioned text adventure any time.

To really get the full benefit of Arctic Air, you should be either FF or Sonic secondary, so you have some mez resistance.

That's a little tricky for a Domnator! -
This is basically the same as Hibernate for an Ice Tank.
Hitpoints get low -> Turn on Hibernate -> aggro shifts to team -> team dies -> 30 seconds later you die.
I.e., I wouldn't recomend it. If nothing else it will make you extreamly unpopular. -
I've been playing for yonks and usually use the mouse to click on powers (unless for some reason I'm playing one handed, as often happens when the cat "helps"), since i'm using the keys to move. Since I always have the next power queued anyway the time is the same.
I can't believe you are so clumsy with the mouse that you can't use it as fast as the keyboard!!!111!!! -
Energy Aura will benefit to the changes to defence in issue 7, making it more effective against AVs and higher level mobs.
-
CE is WAI. It holds aggro because it autohits, and because the slow effect keeps mobs in the aoe for longer.
-
IMO regen is a weak powerset for a stalker, particually in PvP, since lower defense = hit more often = hide suppressed more often = fewer asassin strikes.
You coul build a scrapper-ish PvE Stalker. EM would be a good primary as you could stun your oponents while you regenerate, as well as regenerating the self damage from Energy transfer. -
I think people orginally started doing this because of the long animation times of some high damage attacks, such as Shadow Maul, which slow down your attack per second. However, this has become "recieved wisdom" and people now tend to leave high damage attacks with short animations out of their chain without understanding the reason in the irst place.
Also, endurance is more of an issue for some builds than others. Dark Armour for instance drains a lot of endurance. Just because you do ok don't assume everyone has plenty of end.
There is absolutly no reason not to use brawl however, it is effectivly a free fury boost.
Relying on mobs for fury doesn't work well if you have MMs on your team (or if they kill you).
