  1. There is no free respec with issue 7 because there are no major changes to powers.
  2. I assume AVs (and EB forms of AVs) have resistance to knockup/down as well as resistance to other status effects. It would be interesting to get a number of ice patches under an AV to see how many it would take to make them fall.

    Ninja Blade works best with the parry ability stacking with a defense based set. If you have regen as your secondary you are a bit of a gimp I'm afraid.
  4. Why do you persist in going on about Dark Miasma? It is a great set, peaple have been using it for 2 years now and they love it. There is absolutely no reason to change it.

  6. The real advantages are you avoid travel power suppression and are very mobile in combat.

    the drawback is the number of enhancment slots you have to use to keep up with your travel-powered team mates.

    Taunt + Voids

    A taunt or punchvoke from a tank will overide any amount of damage aggro for it's duration, so if the voids are going after kelidians anyway they must have some sort of punchvoke-voids on all thier attacks, or there is some other effect that causes voids to automatically attack any keldians in range. In either case no amount of tank-taunt will override the effect.
  8. You should probably consider getting Hurdle and/or combat jumping as well. If you are only having 1 movement power out of the fitness pool you will be able to travel faster with Hurdle than with Swift.

    As for slotting, 3 of the appropiate speed boosters in each.

  10. Burn will be better after issue 7, specifically buffs on the player will now effect the burn patch, eg. Build Up, Fiery Embrace.
  11. AA neads 3 endrec, and you might want to put in fear or confuse durations as well, but CE is fine with just 1 endrec, its not that expensive a toggle.
  12. I find my Dominator is most effective in small teams, preferably with Brutes and Corruptors, and free of Stalkers and MMs.

    Solo I find it much harder to control aggro than with my Controller.

    I would say Stealth is a must for a soloing dominator.

    Fire/.TA

    TA is actually a pretty good controller secondary. Don't believe all you hear. (However avoid Poison Gas Arrow ATM, it's bugged).

    In theory the perception debuffs should stack, however the perception debuff on Flash Arrow is pretty substantial anyway.
  14. It does significantly less damage than ET, so if you are comparing it to that (especialy slotted vs unslotted) it does look a bit feable. It has a good disorient on it though, and it does double damage on a critical, unlike ET.

    If they take aggro away from you CE is nexty to useless cos the foes are already headed towards the squishy, to grab aggro away from squshy nothing can be compared to taunt.

    Doesn't happen, since CE slows the mob it will still be in the aoe for the next pulse, and as its a tanker taunt it will overide any amount of aggro.

    Energy Absorption was the cournerstone of Ice when it buffed defence into the silly numbers pre issue 5. Now its been turned into just another end recovery power that increases your defence by a tiny amount.

    SR gives the best total defence. It's what I would go for if I wanted a pure PvP Stalker. (I don't, so I play Regen )
  18. Yeah, at level 16 I wouldn't consider taking taunt, and if I had it would only use it if I was fully buffed by a defender (preferably 2).

    At level 25+ then yes, Taunt away merrily (although CE is much better than Taunt).
  19. Before the time limit Hibernate used to be extremely useful, since I often have to go AFK at short notice, and it's nice to come back and not be dead.

    Put it down to a jetpack, rocket boots or an A-grav belt. I seem to remember Duke Nukem getting a jetpack at some point.
  21. I must confess I'm a bit stingy with the taunt enhancers, and I do have hibernate, I just wish actually activating the power had a taunt effect. As my secondary is Energy Ice Patch is not available to me.

    I know of at least 6 permutations of Smoking Demon off the top of my head - Dark Miasma/Dark Blast Defender; DM/DA Scrapper (got to the 30's before being deleted); Dark Miasma/Trick Arrow Defender; Archery/Fire Blaster; BS/Regen Scrapper; Fire/Fiery Assault Dominator (current). Sadly, I think I'm possibly missing some variations as well.

    Luckily, he has a handy network of friends to shout at him whenever he deletes/recreates a new toon, hopefully we've beaten it out of him by now.

    TA is a great Controller secondary, much better than as a Defender primary. When Purple Sprite gets to 35 and has tried all the powers I am going to write a guide.

    It's true, I only have 2 +acc in BoI for PvP and out of a general sense of paranoia (there are some mobs with significant def bonuses and lots of mobs have -acc).
  24. Hyperthetcally the taunts last to the end of their taunt duration. In practice you usually find you loose all your aggro the instant you turn on the power, leading to instant teamwipe.

    Ice tanks have been complaining about this for ages.
