Update Plan for Dark Miasma v1.1
Couple of points Tar patch isnt a hold. A Hold is an attack that stops the target from doing anything at all, tar patch just slows all the targets who cross the tarpatch down. THerfore refering to it as a hold is incorrect.
Black Hole isnt a hold either so refering to these to powers as holds means that your post loses most of its credability from the start.
Sticking in attack powers in the corruptor secondary will not happen as the description of the secondary on the character creation screen is a buffing set whether that is self/team buffs or enemy debuffs so you cannot have attacks that do any damage (unless it is inconsequential like the damage from caltrops).
Darkest night is one of the best powers in the set I have only limited experience of it (highest I ever got a dark/dark defender was lvl 12) but even from my experience I could see how useful it was especially against elite bosses and the like.
Shadow fall is not just a team stealth power but it also provides resistance against incoming attacks which the concealment pool power does not do. Also saying people can choose the concealment pool is not always valid as you can only choose up to 4 pools and if someone wants to take say the fitness, medecin and leadership pools plus a travel power then you are removing there ability to get an effect that used to be in there buffing set.
There are currently 2 Dark power sets for corruptors:
Dark Blast which is the primary set and is the set that does damage and Dark Misma (SP?) which is the secondary set and is the buffing set. If you want a dark power set that does damage then you should choose the Dark Blast set as your primary.
If you wish to play a AT that does damage from both its sets then there is really only one that provides this and it is the Blaster AT from CoH.
Please if you wish to be respected on the forum try and only post alterations to sets if you have extensive knowledge of them. This is one of the reasons that I dont like to post changes to whole power sets as the only character that I have got to a high lvl is a Bot/FF mastermind as a result I only feel I have enough experience to suggest changes to this AT and these powersets in particular.
Why do you persist in going on about Dark Miasma? It is a great set, peaple have been using it for 2 years now and they love it. There is absolutely no reason to change it.

Just to elaborate on this, it provides PSIONIC resistance. This is something that only 1 other powerset (dark armour) does (stone armour has a psionic def, and a few others can mitigate psi damage in their own way). Against psionic enemies - which become incresingly common at high levels, SF is one of the very few ways to take on the big hitters. Oh, and it has energy and negative resists too. And on the off chance that isn't good enough, it stealths your team too...Yeah, another generic attack would really be better...

I wasnt sure what resists it gave just that it gave them due to my limited experience with the set(see above post). Most of my experience at higher lvls is from teaming with /dark corruptors and MM's with my main.

If you have ideas or suggestions, by all means post them in one thread on one board (in this case, 'Suggestions' would be the most appropriate). If you wish to adjust or revise those same ideas, please do so in the same thread. There is no need to start a new one.
As far as your specific ideas are concerned, I think it's perhaps worth bearing in mind that Dark Miasma is a buff/debuff set, and as such is unlikely to be changed to include damage powers. They would be more suited to Dark Blast.

Here to give a few ideas on powers that should be disposed of and replaced with better and more so Dark Power's but still Balanced non the less.
Dispose Of....
Tar Patch: You have another Ability later on that Holds your opponents called Black Hole, so whats the point in having both of these? They do the same thing and i can only find one useful since you dont need to both slow and Hold as its a waste of Endurance and a chance to use a New Dark power!
Solution: Dispose of Tar Patch
Modify "Black Hole" to have the same Effects of Tar Patch (-RES -FLY -SPEED) and make it so they can be seen and attacked (held still). Tar patch also lowered the Defence of the Enemy so this should qualify also (-RES).
Replacement: Chaos Burst; You have the Power to Tap in to the Dark Lay Energy of the Nethorworld. A vast amount of Dark Energy bursts from the Palm of the Villain's Hand and strikes a single targeted Foe for shadow damage, the Energy has a small chance to bounce of the surface of the tissue and Impact nearby Foe's causing small damage (-REG). Damage: High, Recharge: Very Slow, Endurance: 22
And the last power to change....
Darkest Night: This Ability is ineffective and their are abilitys that do what this does also , this one has more reasen to stay but it should be changed as a better ability could replace it.
Solution: Dispose of Darkest Night
Pass on the same Effects to the Replacement power.
Replacement: Tender Ripple; Nothing Tender about this power! A couple of thin but long tentacles expand from 3 spots of the Wrist Bone at a single targeted Foe and toss them in the air knocking them back causing smashing damage as they hit the ground, When the Tentacles make contact they infect the Target hindering their retina (eyesight) and weakening them (-ACC -DMG). Damage: Small, Recharge: Fast, Endurance: 14
Shadew Fall: A Team Stealth Ability, it is useful but we can get Stealth through 3rd Pool Powers but they arn't as effective as this. However i would give up this for a Melee Attack.
Solution: Dispose of this Power
Replacement: Chaos Blade; You summon a Dark Blade of Energy from a admiring Demon of the Nethorworld and swipe it at your foe at Close Range causing moderate damage and possibly lowering the Accuracy of the enemy. Damage: Moderate, Recharge: Slow, Endurance: 18
These Ability's i think are alot more useful and nessesery. I mean this is Dark Type Power and you have no Power that does damage!? Thats not right at all! And Power's in the same Pool that do the same thing....is that really needed? For any Power?. However if these Changes take place and are considered i would play your Game's alot more with confidence and atleast i would finally know my favirote Power Pool's and help people more effectively in Combat which means Playing this game is well worth the effort and can be enjoyed more without agravation.
