Sticking needed mobs or glowies in inaccessable locations probably won't be to hard.

9. Creators don't have access to high level content (environments, NPCs, etc.) until their own characters have encountered/defeated them in the main game.

Unfortunately, that means that Heroes won't get access to any maps which are uniquely villains and vice versa.

I would imagine the unlocking would be done on a per acount basis, so as long as you played both heroes and villains you would be able to unlock everything. -
The trouble with hiding the name of the mission writer:
I've just played a really excellent mission by someone called FFM. So I want to look for more missions by the same author. -
You can't slot sets into Hurdle because Castle wouldn't listen to me when I told him that Stealth IOs in autopowers where broken, and his proposed solution would only cause a lot more problems.
When I was proved right his only option was to remove the ability to slot sets in movement autopowers. -

To me the most interesting part is suggesting that new alts would start as neutral and become heroes or villains through their actions, though probably in my case by the time I got to 50 I'd still be a damn neutral fence sitter.

Well I'd imagine a Merc would stick right down the middle, depending on who paid the most. Then again, one might say that'd shift his morality meter anyway.
(And who's morals would it be based on anyway?)

Valkryst suggested something like this a couple of weeks ago.
Original thread. -
What's to discuss anyway? Everything mentioned sounds good. Do they want to know how much we would pay for it?

A spines pass is not on my schedule, currently...which means it's unlikely for at least a year (schedules can and do change, though!)

Wrong direction, I think.
The most distinctive Vanguard units are thier sorcerers, with green lightning powers.
Followed by thier -resitance Talosian claws. -
Lady Jane isn't in the Vanguard, she is Dawn Patrol.

Any suggestions on how to make this into a HEAT that could actually work and would be fun to play ?

To base it on a hero group that isn't umm... Villanous?
*shrug* I guess.

Villanous and dull.
And rubbish uniforms. -
Current policy seems to be that lowering the difficulty is the way forward.
After all, there are far more casual players than there are hardcore. -
Indeed, and since Spectral_Ent is right and you are wrong, you just make yourself look even more hypocritical.
Minor ajustmants to keldians are possible, a damage buff (up to about 12.5%), changes to the inherent it include some mez protect etc.
What is never going to happen are fundamental changes to any powers, forms or the J-o-T concept, which is the main reason for its lack of popularity with casual players: what they want is an AT that can do blaster levels of damage with tanker levels of suvivability, and that aint ever going to happen.
Yes, keldians where ill concieved from the start - they where designed for "elite" players, not casual gamers: In those days it was not expected that casual players would get to 50 anyway (or by the time you got to 50 you would know longer be "casual", you would have learned how to handle basic ATs and be after something more complex). Hence they where designed with an inherent intended to force them to team with "less experienced" players. The idea was, keldians would be teachers and mentors.
If Positron had a time machine he would simply prevent keldians being made in the first place. What he isn't going to do now is throw significant development time into trying to fix the unfixable. -
It multiplies threat from attacks by a very very large number.
Taunt itself counts as an attack, but attacks that do damage generate quite a lot more aggro than those that do none.
Most of the time just taunting will be enough to keep the mobs on you, but if your team are doing a lot of damage it will help if you are doing damage too.
So you will be most effective if you both taunt and attack. -
1) Yes, it will work in passives.
2) No, it wouldn't be overkill.
3) Regen cap? I don't think its possible for WP to reach any regen cap. -
The AT that really needs a set with this sort of theme is the MM.
-
The colours of the weapons (or auras on the weapons) can be easly changed. Colours for powers, including hit animations, cannot.
Weapon =/= power -
1) Taunt does cause some aggro on its own, it counts as an attack. It just causes a lot less than attacks that do damage.
2) RttC is the weakest aura, but because of its low taunt duration, not its tick rate, wich at 1 per second is better than most damage auras (but worse than CE, which ticks 2 per second). As it's taunt duration is so low, slotting RttC with taunt enhancements will not help significantly.

Serum hardly counts, since PBs get an equilvelent power (with a shorter activation time), plus they get get light form and dwarf form as well.
Omega Manuver is pretty useless as a panic button since it won't kill or stun bosses or higher. The best it can do is distract them for 5 seconds. -
One bit of maths I just did.
you would need to get the recharge of Aim up to +170% in order for it to give an avarage damage buff equal to TT: Assault but you would only need to get the recharge of Aim up to +80% to give an avarage to hit buff equal to TT: Leadership. -
Solo crab = mass bundle to melee range = frantic manouvering/rapid defeat
What really sets crabs apart from keldians is the lack of a panic button power. -
Having played a crab spider, I can tell you they are far from tankmage levels of suvivability. To an extent the suffer from the resistance-is-futile-on-a-low-hp-stalker issue. PBs are a lot tougher.
