Upcoming Spines Changes

Great...they're nerfing more melee sets, which is going to mean scrappers will eventually become an obselete AT to any that don't RP
What's next devs?? Broadsword?? Gonna nerf the damage on that?? Why don't they take a good hard look at ATs that actually [u]ARE[u] overpowered. I fail to see how nerfing spines is in the interest of actually making things balanced, considering with the release of IO sets there is a huge amount of toxic resistance, and the amount of smash/lethal res already means toxic damage from spines is the only thing that gives it the edge. And the minimal slow/immob is also countered easy from IO sets. Not happy at all
Do not ask for whom the DOOOOOM tolls, it tolls for you!
How about waiting a bit with the DOOMsaying, considering we're not expecting any changes to Spines before around summer 2009.

oh, I know. I'll get to it, eventually. I've been putting it off about as long as I've been putting off looking at ET. To get an idea of what I mean, look to SF's post on this topic last page or so. 2 changes and he was done. Sadly, I wouldn't be. It's not just the damage/recharge irregularities that are a problem, it's the MULTIPLE secondary effects. Slows, DOTs and (rarely useful) stacking immobilize on nearly every power, lots of range and lots of AOE? The only thing that keeps the set anywhere near balance is the slow animations.
So, the whole thing is a massive headache waiting to happen.
