SS/WP seems to be out of fashion but looking through the forums I came up with this build. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

This is already pretty expensive by my standards - all those Kinetic Combats are going to take me a while - so aside from Purples and PvP sets have I missed anything obvious? -
I'm blowing the dust off my PB for i20 and come up with a new build for her. I wondered if anyone had any suggestions for improvements.

Essence Boost is perma and getting Hasten perma would be nice but I think this build is about as expensive as I can manage (4 LotG recharge but mostly fairly cheap). Anyone think I've done something stupid or missed an easy trick? -
For some reason I came into i20 thinking that enemies in trials would only drop Threads and nothing else. Having run a few and received (I believe) enhancements, recipes and salvage this is obviously not true, but are there any restrictions on what drops?
My impresssion is that drops are less common, but random=random so that may not be true. I don't think I've had any inspiration drops so far (after eight trials or so). Has anyone had a purple recipe drop during a trial? -
While this would give more realistic figures that could end up being just as off-putting as Lazarillo's example above, if those figures are showing 30-60 minutes wait time. Tough choice. The best long-term fix may be to find a way to allow us to run missions while queued - then the wait time is less important.
-
If the average is 2 minutes but I'm waiting for an hour* that average looks so badly skewed as to be effectively meaningless. That seems like something that should be pointed out.
* and for the record that's what happened - I got on a BAF after an hour. Then of course we all got booted by the Trial bug -
Quote:Hmm, I hadn't thought about the mathematics of it. Plus, if this is what is displayed it says nothing about how often trials are being run. That '2 minute' wait could have been an hour ago or a day ago. This could get frustrating. It's hard to say. It could easily be that the numbers are bugged. However even if they aren't bugged the pre-formed leagues are almost certainly throwing it off. Since a pre-formed league is in the queue for less than a second and contains up to 24 people that is really going to throw off the numbers. Add in that people who queue for a bit, get fed up with the wait and quit presumably don't count and you've got a lot of bad data.
For example I had ran a league last night that had 23 pre-formed members and 1 queued member. Assume his wait was 45 minutes, what was the average wait time for the league?
(45 min * 1 + 0.0166 minutes * 23) / 24 = 1.89 minutes.
Assuming the 2-4 minute wait times displayed are accurate it seems like we're getting absurdly long wait times for queues and a lot of pre-formed leagues going. -
I'm currently sat looking at the LFG tab telling me that the average wait to start an Incarnate Trial is 2 minutes. Since I've been sat in the queue looking at this tab on and off for the last half an hour I'm sceptical.
What is this tab actually displaying? Are there actually people starting trials every 2 minutes who all just happen to be pre-making full leagues? Or is this thing really just displaying random numbers? -
Several of my favourites already here, but this little thing sticks with me. It's a mission entry pop-up from I think the Diviner Maros arc. Most of these things are unremarkable but suddenly, haiku:

I'm not sure exactly where to ask this but I figure you guys will know:
What is 'melee range' supposed to be?
I could have sworn that they increased the standard range of melee powers to 10' not long back but I've just noticed that nearly all powers show a range of 7' in the in-game info. Did I dream this or what? -
I raised a new question over on the Support section of the NCSoft site today. When I tried to go back and look at it again it asked me to login but won't accept my master account details. Is there a seperate login system for support? If not where should I go to get this sorted?
-
Thanks for the ideas everyone. I was looking at pcspecialist so it's nice to see them recommended. Another one I found was computerplanet.co.uk, anyone heard of them?
Thanks again. -
Seasons Greetings everyone.
I was wondering if anyone from the UK could recommend a good place to go for a custom build PC (or indeed a bad place to avoid). Anyone? -
Wow, if you'd asked me I would have said that was impossible. Doesn't poor Cyrus buy it during a cut scene? What did you do to interfere?
-
I'm torn between squealing delight that we again have something major and attractive to look forward too and weeping frustration that it is once again many months away. I'm going to have to forget about this til nearer the time for the sake of my nerves.
-
This sounds a little like an arc I enjoyed soon after MA launch - 12651 Secret History: Rise of Rapture.
It's a nice way to make an arc stand out from the crowd. -

I'd like to be able to create a Boss spawn with only the Boss - no accompanying friends.
[/ QUOTE ]
You can!
[/ QUOTE ]
You just made me log in to check and no I can't. What are you talking about? -
I'd like to be able to create a Boss spawn with only the Boss - no accompanying friends.
More generally I'd like a Storyteller Mode which creates arcs with no rewards (maybe keep inspirations) but with most of the current restrictions on content lifted. The drive to stamp out farming seems to be slowly throttling the MA at the moment. -
One other change that seems to have gone through in this patch is to the way Defeat All missions work. Previously the system would insist on including one regular spawn in a Defeat All (presumably to ensure there was something to defeat) but allowed you to fill up the rest of the spawns how you wanted. Now it seems to be insisting that just under half of the spawn points get regular spawns, restricting what else you can put on the map (I'm sure this fixes some dastardly exploit or something.)
Just a heads up really. The change doesn't appear to have broken published missions (at least not mine) but some people may get a rude suprise if they decide to edit. -
[ QUOTE ]
At the moment, we can choose to have an ally, an additional mob, etc. to spawn in either the Front, the Middle or the Back of a map. It seems to work fine most of the time if there is just one objective you want to spawn. But it can be quite annoying sometimes if you have more than one items and they are set to spawn upon the completion of a sequent of events.
[/ QUOTE ]
In my experience objectives that spawn on completion of others have worse problems than dodgy labeling of spawn points. It appears that the items that are on the map from the start get first choice of spawn points and anything that comes later has to fit in around them. You may find you can get more consistant results if you set everything to appear from the beginning. If you can, then on a linear map players should still be completing objectives in the 'right' order anyway. -
Have you put any other objects in the mission at all? A battle maybe? Some of the things you can add sometimes take up spaces you don't expect. If that's not it most likely you've just found some maps with the wrong info attached, so bug them.
I haven't had this problem yet but the error reporting tool is a little flaky. It usually seems to miss problems rather than reporting false ones though. -
Have you at any point mentioned these characters on the forums? It would be much easier to lift them from here than in-game.
-
[ QUOTE ]
These innovative and fun missions/arcs should have already been in the game - as part of the CoX Universe. If players can do this with just a few days of practice, why do we not already have new missions, new mobs, new zones, new arcs, new missions in the game?
[/ QUOTE ]
When did NC hire hundreds of new writers? I'm as dissapointed as anybody that there haven't been more new missions recently but the fact that the players can do this is a tribute to them, not a criticism of NCSoft. Even with the new hires there's still only a few of them and (for better or worse) they've been working on other things. And don't forget this:
[ QUOTE ]
Am I missing the bit where this came out quickly? Because they've essentially been making a very big (And nifty) development tool and giving it to us as content.
Which is both sneaky and awesome at the same time.
[/ QUOTE ]
Making mission just got easier for everyone, NCSoft included. I'm saving my criticism for I15 - they've got no excuses now. -
[ QUOTE ]
BTW - it is interesting to note how virtually all suggested arcs are CoV (with the notable exception of the new Faultline arcs).
[/ QUOTE ]
Confirmation that their new writing is better than the old. I think you could include the Ourobouros 'TF' arcs as well. -
While I agree that most of the dev material is 4-star at best I'm not sure that's a reason to criticise the HoF requirements. The devs want the award to mean something so they have to be strict. Too leniant and their 'Hall of Fame' becomes their 'House of Mediocrity'. I14 has only been live for 5 days and there's already one 5-star non-dev-choice arc with over 500 votes - over half way there.
I think it's too early to be worried about this. The devs want this to work so if they eventually see that no-one is making it past the finishing line they will lower the requirements, but they'll give it a fair run first which means at least a few months datamining.
[ QUOTE ]
Peoples voting is expecting (pretty-much) perfection for a 5
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm also not sure this actually jibes with the scores I'm seeing on live. Is every 5-star arc you've played 'perfect'?
