Enemy Drops in Trials

For some reason I came into i20 thinking that enemies in trials would only drop Threads and nothing else. Having run a few and received (I believe) enhancements, recipes and salvage this is obviously not true, but are there any restrictions on what drops?

My impresssion is that drops are less common, but random=random so that may not be true. I don't think I've had any inspiration drops so far (after eight trials or so). Has anyone had a purple recipe drop during a trial?

I have had a purple on a trial. I think the reason drops are less is because there enemies are split across 2 or 3 full teams but the enemy count is much less than an ITF.

They drop everything they should, as near as I can tell. Recipes, insp, salvage, enhs, and threads. Got a hecatomb on my crab the other day.
You're only getting kill credit from things your team (kills aren't league-wide, in other words) is involved in killing from what I understand. Which is why if you split teamwise on the lambda sabotage stage, no one on the acid team would get a grenade drop, or if one team is dealing with adds while the other two focus on the AVs, that team will get more ixp and chances at threads.

I got a purple as well (and a Hecatomb as well, now that I mention it) from a BAF. I have noticed the drops seem pretty anemic but I suppose that's the whole multi-group thing going on.

Anecdata time:

I've had two purple recipes - a Fortunata Hypnosis and a Soulbound Allegiance - drop on me in iTrials. I also had a respec recipe drop on me.

It seems a bit off to me, particularly considering the paucity of other drops.

Amusingly, they drop Shards too.

As such, I would recommend that leaders running multiple BAFs in a row rotate which team is on ambush duty, to keep the distribution relatively equitable. The fact that drops aren't automatically shared across the whole league is not something I've found to be intuitive to players thus far.

As an alternative, I've seen some leaders say "top 3-4 in each team kill reinforcements, rest kill AVs" and it's worked out pretty well for evenly distributing the ixp. Unfortunately most are sticking to nominating one team for this duty (and one league was killing the AVs so fast we were told to ignore the reinforcements).
