Quote:You might have been right this time, but I wouldn't trust Paragon Studios to ever refrain from cheating you when it comes to pricing on the market. We're talking about a company that sells the High Collar Cape individually for 40 more points than the pack that includes it. They've shown from the start that they are more than willing to take you for every dime you have. Assuming any good faith in the pricing system is a bad idea.If someone has a character on virtue I'll be more than happy to prove it, sides I trusted the dev's enough that they wouldn't make a purchasable pet able to be killed especially given the price.

That animation is an attack. It's from Beast Mastery and it's a ranged cone attack: Call Ravens.
Quote:http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=285455You command an unkindness of ravens to quickly assault and harass your foes. Your foes will suffer Moderate Lethal damage over time and have their speed and defense reduced. This power has a high chance at granting your pets a stack of Pack Mentality. Damage: Moderate, Recharge: Slow
Designer's Comments: Much like Call Hawk, this power is intended to not only cause some damage over time, but also reduce the likelihood that your beasts will encounter foes they cannot reach or hit/ -
Quote:I'd love for someone to time the trip from the Thorn Tree on Thorn Isle in Nerva Archipelago, to Faathim the Kind in The Chantry - to make it fair, let's assume it's on a Rogue, so using Ouro to hop blueside as the first step isn't an optionQuote:From Thorn Tree to Faathim on a level 40 Rogue Mastermind using Stealth, Sprint with Stealth, Ninja Run and a Jetpack from the FBZ Vendor, about twelve minutes total including time spent evading midair Watchers and circling the Chantry from the wrong side, evading more Watchers.
Started at the Thorn Tree badge marker and ended standing directly in front of Faathim.- Run to closest Black Helicopter
- Take it to St. Martial
- Enter RWZ
- RWZ to Peregrine
- Peregrine to FBZ
- Geyser hop to Chantry
Using the fastest Rogue route (Ouro > start RWZ flashback > Peregrine) plus travel powers it seems it's well within the 9 minute mark even for that long a journey. Vigilante would be even faster (Ouro > Shadow Shard flashback) -
It's a terrible piece of art. Every time I see it I picture this:

I literally have no words for how glad I am to see this. Please, please stick with this design philosophy going forward. -
Quote:Yeah, I won't be buying these either. It's a shame, cause the costume is pretty nice looking.I would have bought this with points but I refuse to gamble on it.
Like some other people have mentioned, everything outside the costumes is essentially useless to me. I don't super IO outfit my characters or care about the consumables. I don't even claim the ones I have now out of email. I'm not interested in the wolf pet. If they had offered it seperately I'd have jumped on it.
Too bad that'll never happen now. The outrage from people who bought dozens of packs hoping for costume drops would probably crash the forums. -
Quote:Except for the continued use of Tarikoss as the go to guy for all magical lore Redside. And his bizzare, "good sir, I'd love to help you!" attitude. For once there don't appear to be any lore errors in the new content!
Seriously, to quote his own strike force: "The one you call Virgil Tarikoss is known to me as Tarikoss the Vigilant, a guardian of balance and an ally of the good and the just."
The guy is like a lazy version of the Punisher, trying to send villains to their death to make the world a better place. He was vigilante before vigilante was an alignment. Unfortunately he's also the only magical villain contact the Dev team can remember. Peter Themari would have been a much better choice if it had to be a Cap contact. -
-
I'd forgive them, but it's just lazy. The game knows not to give me hero tips. Flag the Valentines tips the same way. Yeah, that means "neutral" ones would have to be duplicated for both, but so what? Do it correctly.
-
Hey, you know what would have made this event better?
IF I DIDN'T HAVE TO DROP MISSIONS BECAUSE OF MY ALIGNMENT.
My villain character has gotten letters that can only be delivered to Skyway or Atlas. -
Just adding my voice to the complaints, not that I think it matters since it's been the same complaints ever since micro-transactions started: no pictures, bizzare reasoning on pack contents, and arbitrary sale dates. At this point if I was in charge I'd be seriously tempted to sack everyone currently involved with the market and bring in a whole new team. I'm starting to think none of you have any experience with online retail, not even as a customer.
Many of your problems are so stupidly lazy, like the complete lack of pictures, that I don't get how you expect to sell anything. C'mon guys, screenshots aren't hard to take and the forums already support pictures. I should not need to visit third party sites to tell me what you are trying to sell me. I'm willing to bet that if ParagonWiki stopped translating your sales announcements into actual product descriptions you'd be trouble. -
Quote:Zwill this is not true. Customer Service does not have this information. Or if they do, then they don't know that they have it and are unable to explain anything about my individual record. The Customer Service team has access to your individual records and will be able to review them for accuracy and concisely explain when you should receive all of your VIP benefits on a monthly basis.
I don't know who told you to pass this along to us but it was either in error or premature. Customer Service has not been trained on this.
My case number is 111101-001708 and was submitted on Nov. 1. So far I have received nothing that could even remotely be described as "accurate and concise." -
It's becoming apparent that there simply aren't enough items in the store at this time to have a weekly featured item. Might I suggest changing the weekly featured item to a bi-weekly or even monthly feature at this point in the Paragon Market's development?
It's not as if you have leftover stock piling up in the back; there is no need to push undesirable items so heavily. -
They're urban oil wells similarly to the ones in Los Angeles. Those oil tankers keep putting into port at Paragon City for a reason, you know.
Now all the cars in Paragon are super-efficient electrics, hence the reason you never see a gas station. Everyone just plugs in and recharges. But that doesn't stop the city from being a major oil exporter. The revenue from the exports helps keep taxes low, which is a big reason why people keep flocking to a city that is constantly being attacked by supervillains. -

Quote:He said he didn't want to, not that he wouldn't.I found this quote interesting "I dont think we want to steer the player to the experience that we want." and yet it appears that's exactly what they're trying to do with the incarnate trials.
He didn't want to force you to do the proper iTrials.
You made him do it, Bubba.
Is this what you wanted? Huh? Are you happy now?
Stop making him punish you!
Aw, it's okay. He's sorry you forced him to nerf rewards too.
Here, try the new Titan Weapons. -

Quote:She's not even friendly with Rogues, let alone Villains. The trouble I have with Desdemona on the Underground trial is that it's co-op, and I have villains who are genuinely antagonistic towards her. I don't mean we "don't get along", I mean I burned her house down, sent her to the hospital, and kicked her puppy. It's not the type of thing someone would ignore "for the greater good", y'know?
From the The Dagger of Caernoz rogue tip mission:
Quote:Originally Posted by DesdemonaCharacter! I'm over here. It's time for your reward.
Remember me telling you we heroes do things the right way?
Well, the right way is that you'll need to pay for your crimes before you can collect any kind of reward.
I know it sounds like I'm betraying you, but I'm not
Once you've done your time, I will see to it personally you get your money.
I honestly cheered when I got to burn her house down. -
I wish. I refuse to claim them. They can annoy me in the email box or they can annoy me on the enhancement screen and powers list.
I really wish the whole account/character items was given it's own system instead of using workarounds like the email system or the previous badge system. Although to be honest I found the badge workaround less annoying. It was more frustrating to claim the ones I wanted, but much easier to later ignore the ones I didn't. -
No, the only thing you can do is change the eye color. It is animate and looks around though.

Quote:Yes. It's the Rularuu Shield, unlocked by completing his first arc "Hammer of the World" (lvl 40 minimum)Was reading a shield guide from i13 that mentioned doing Sirocco to unlock a shield costume piece. Is that still relevant?
Sirocco isn't the only way to unlock it for villains. It's also unlocked by the Visionary badge (100 Overseers; hard to get for a villain), Tech Naylor's arc "Last Stand at Mole Point Bravo" (lvl 35-40) or Plither's "Alone in the Darque" (lvl 45-50) -

Quote:Man, if I had a dollar for every time I've gone the wrong way on that one. When someone in Help chat suddenly pipes up, asking (I assume) "how u do cot" then what am I to assume? That he's asking how to have sexual intercourse with the Circle of Thorns or that he's trying to find out which contact will hand out the Caverns of Transcendence Trial?
-
No idea if it's working as intended but they are stacking right now. I hope they'll leave it that way, makes it easier to use them as a free name change token instead.
