I find the pulsing seriously irritating as well; I color it pure black at this point since that's the least obtrusive color for it.
  2. Obscure Blade

    Kheldian naming?

I've got Gloriously Bright the Peacebringer, and Azeria the Possessed who's a Warshade.

The Warshade is the one with a real backstory; she's a former minor sorceress of MAGI that a Nictus attempted to take over. She threw all of her magic into a spell of binding that allowed her to dominate and enslave the Nictus instead of the other way around. So she's only a sort of "technical Warshade" since the Nictus isn't reformed, just dominated. She can't use her former magic since it's all bound up in controlling the Nictus, but is fairly satisfied since the Nictus powers are more impressive that her magics were.
  3. Obscure Blade

    I'll be damned

I'm definitely looking forward to this buff; I'm one of the people who finds the constant buff-buff-buff-buff routine maddening. I can typically play my Bots/FF only a short time before having to quit out of aggravation.

This. I think that the BAF and Lambda are actually pretty well made, and I don't even like raid-style content very much; but doing the same 2 missions over and over gets aggravating fast no matter how good they are.

Actually I think they died out when Osama bin Laden getting killed took over the news; before then they were still going strong.

Huh. If Cole is Praetorian Sheen, who's Praetorian Bin Laden? Hatchet with his exploding ghouls and death fetish?

Gee. Thanks. Wonderful stuff. Not like it's our damn primary or anything...
While naturally I'd like it if they reduced the endurance cost for MM upgrades, there is an important difference; once applied, the upgrades last until the pet dies/is dismissed.
  7. Here's a comics/pony crossover for you...

A funny comment on certain crossovers...

And if we ever had a Pony themed Giant Monster, this should be it.

After repeated traumatization by PPD Equalizers in the lower levels, the Voids decided that they're gonna leave the PPD alone.
  9. I thought the Magic Origin option for that mission was pretty amusing. "Hi!"
  10. Pretty much anything can be rationalized, as said.

/Storm - weather control machines, or just steam and wind generated from the character.

Necro/ - Beware Doctor Dread and his Galvanically and Chemically Reanimated Horde!

Demons/ - A steampunk robot forged of metal brought up from Hell and fueled by hellfire and damned souls.
  11. I was reluctant to change my costumes originally, since I thought by the description doing so cost real money.

I wondered about how people were making NPCs characters, since groups kept asking for "Trollers".

It took me a while to realize that that little "X" button in the costume creator is what lets you make costumes with more than just two colors.

I thought Gale was a good attack - just look at all the little numbers!
  12. Lovecraftian World, where instead of Olympian themed divine power, Cole and Richter unleashed Cosmic Horror themed forces on themselves and upon the world. Neither Cole nor Richter are even remotely human anymore; they are both vast Hamidon sized monstrosities constantly at war with each other, sending legions of their warped spawn to battle one another (Hami himself got eaten as soon as he showed up). Everyone else with superpowers is physically and mentally warped as well, to a lesser degree. The sky looks like something out of the Shadow Shard. The typical citizen looks and talks a lot like a somewhat smarter Ghoul.

  14. My first was my namesake, Obscure Blade on Guardian. A BS/Regen; Obscure because I was new to the game, Blade because of his blade, naturally.

Oh, definitely. The main disadvantage Earth has, low damage, is nicely averted with a Dominator. And all the -Def from /Earth helps in the lower levels where slots are scarce for Dominators since you can skimp on accuracy.

Earth/Fire is an excellent combo; I also like Earth/Psi.
  16. Shadow Ops

    Termination

    The Steel Reaper

You know, replacement pseudo-Victorian versions of the Triage Beacon, Acid Mortar, Force Field Generator, Targeting Drone, Gun Drone, etc? Because, otherwise, I have no idea what to use the guns with that wouldn't look just plain wrong as soon as you used one of your secondary powers.
/Storm comes to mind. "Professor Perilous and his Amazing Storm Machines!"

EDIT: /Dark too, come to think of it. Color it to be a bit more gray, and it's smoke.

I see that Energy/Storm hasn't been mentioned yet. If you like chaos and smacking enemies around like ragdolls, that's your combo. Fire/Storm is also good for an elemental-force-of-destruction feel.
  20. Vial of Bees and Creeper Seed from Vernon von Grun are two good ones.

Here's a list of Temporary Powers.

Summon Rikti Drone from Ambassador Kuhr'Rekt is also good (I like pets). Midnight Visage from Darren Wade is also useful, it's a toggle with a 15 minute charge that makes enemies ignore you unless you attack; nice if you want to click on something surrounded by enemies you aren't in the mood to fight. There's also the Loa Bone from Mr Bocor for a pet zombie.

I'm not him, but I'll throw this out:

    1: Ninja Reflexes
    2: Danger Sense
3: Ninja Stealth (not quite full invisibility, no movement debuff)
    4: Kuji-In Rin (Status Protection)
    5: Kuji-In Sha (Self Heal)
6: Poisoned Caltrops (adds some toxic damage)
7: Flash Bomb (AoE stun, like Fault but no kb)
8: Blinding Powder (Does minor AoE damage, combines a strong Taunt with an accuracy debuff)
    9: Kuji-In Retsu (Elude clone)

Especially since one of the worst enemies for Doms are those irritating EBs with purple triangles that are almost unmezzable. An Illusion Dom would be able to handle targets with the PToD better than any other Dom, I think.

  25. To bad I already have it. However:

That purple lettering is unreadable with the villain forum skin. Perhaps yellow would work better? Yellow stands out with both skins.
