    agreed, pvp or pve.
  2. Interruption time is way too long in PvE, might be okay in PvP but in PvE by the time you've attacked the team would be in the next group.
  3. I have a no nonsense attitude towards villain ATs that don't buff. I give them no nonsense. Evil doers don't care unless there is something in it for them.
If you come to hero side then the concern counts when concern is needed to be had. Are people dying around you? Are people slower without your buffs? Are you always finding other ways to contribute, including saying something funny?
  4. The upgrade powers might want end reducing well if they're not with so much in the way of toggles that cost in end rec. I 3 end slot my upgrade powers, 1-2 end slot my Pet powers and at a minimum would prefer to see 2 end slots in the ldrship toggles if possible. The entire build has to be considered though.

Your a corrupter, blast primary. I call that damage. Stack -res + oil slick and ofc your useful.
  7. At lvl 20 its +2lvls and no lower. Unyielding really. I prefer to team but for soloing its good too. The "number of mobs per me" could change depending on tank type versus mob type.

    Brutiest Brute?

Historically most of the men who would be considered Brutes tend to lack fear. Saddam Hussein, Brute, wasn't afraid to die to name one. I don't often care what Brutes do, if they ask a Dominator to go and attack Calistix first I lose respect for them.

All Brutes have the taunt power listed in their primaries.

    Taunt adds certain flexibilities.

Brutes were clearly intended to have these certain flexibilities if the player so wished.

I would probably wager that alot of Tankers crossing to the dark side are well aware that Tankers aren't needed as much there as that side of the game was made without them in mind. Will they have taunt?

It doesn't matter what people decide a Brute should do. The AT is capable of certain things. People can only decide for their own Brutes.

I for one whether I will be on a Brute or Tanker will be relieved to see other Brutes without taunt as it means I have control. On STFs, LGTFs, LRSFs they will require certain team make ups and I won't give a toot. They'll be a small part of the reason why AVs or Heroes are dying quick and I'll be a big part of the reason why the team is surviving and able to kill them quick.
Not in all teams, but most teams, at best I shouldn't even need to design a team around me.

A Brute is not a Tanker but it does share more common abilities to a Tanker than a Scrapper. It is clear it is hoped that it is designed to fill both roles if wished without being so good it can always replace both ATs in any situation.
  10. Voltaic Sentinel lacks something maybe that could be it. It could jump.

People could with Devices be offered Hand Grenade or Timebomb. I do like my Timebomb but with even more rechg in my build I might not need it at all.

  12. Guide section is a good place to look.

There are many things different sets can be overpowered in terms of. Some people may deem effective single target dps on an AV or speed farming as the only two things they need to know.
  14. Mace probably changed not long before you came to the forums atleast. Before it was considered sub par to other sets and then Castle buffed it. Now you probably don't hear much about Mace because there is nothing to cry about balance wise.

    Solo the Posi TF

Mender Silos TF on Invincible is probably the best a scrapper can do I think. Go for that with any type of scrapper and to me ya got gold, will take a look at build now.

Edit:No Vindicate or Freedom Phalanx Hero allowed to die for platinum.

Edit: I would forget soloing Posi. A build like that doesn't lead in DPS and is weak high levels compared to what ya could have.

    Taunt?

I like to be flexible, counting when inherent fitness comes in, Brutes with taunt will be all rounders, able to cover many obvious problems with easy solutions.
  17. If there is no SB I'll adapt, but in not SB'ing your not only potentially slowing the teams xp/time down but also your own. I tend to keep it up. Sometimes I can be preoccupied by using other powers that are more important at a particular time. I would rather have a Kin that prioritized to the moment rather than buff cycles or peoples requests the moment they lost SB.

Main Tanking the Statesman Task Force ... with those four AVs and Lord Recluse at the end ... is just begging for Debt. That's because you have to take them on without being able to use crunchies as fuel for Energy Absorption. And they're AVs ... so they laugh at your Defenses and smush you in just a few hits because you've got no resistances worth even chuckling about.
I've main tanked the STF with a scrapper for scrappers. Debt is not a necessary given for anyone. With ITFs blasters can solo them so that don't count as hard.Edit: I ain't too sure if its just the last mission that the blaster I know of soloed.

    Ice and Why?

For a beginner I think its ideal. You get aggro so easy, wet ice is at 6, so on a Frostfire mission you can go herd and not worry about being mezzed by Frostfire. New people by benefiting from an aggro magnet might come to realize different roles better, timing and more importantly positioning.
  20. I wouldn't mind seeing hover with a super low cast time and no recharge time so that Firetanks can Burn and return to Hover quickly.
  21. Is Michelle from the guild? I think she is that fps loving dominator.
  22. Nick some of Dark Melees moves but just add a fire graphic and dont worry about the lethal side as fire is lethal anyway.

Likewise by that logic; one could say to a defender, by the time a corrupter reaches offering the same kind of support a defender has, it is rather trivial anyway because you can have enough self sufficient sets in the team that you don't even need anyone defending.
  24. You could focus on softcapping to S/L, E/N quite easy and still end up with good extra hp. As for tanking the STF I'd be able to do it with that. An SO build could suffice. It's a team effort. There should be plenty of WP/SS builds about to look at anyway.
