I don't know about this section but often people do a build and ask for advice. People then have something to play with without giving out their own builds. If you have a pop, then not only should you be more likely to get advice but you may if only through trying become a better hero builder with experience you can use for other alts.

With all that positional defense and shield charge as offense I wouldn't be 6 slotting armours with lotg. I'd sooner slot in some res or +hp for that bit more versus other/all damage types. Taunt is good for facing AVs for teams with different types of defenders. You may wish to tank and spank the same way but if people die about ya, you'll know what is missing. It shouldn't matter what defender is there.

I saw a lvl 42 Inv tank missing unyielding. He couldn't tank unless you count running halfway up to a group and getting held for the entire time the team beat stuff out of mobs as tanking. Sitting back unable to press a key from floating around the floor into all the other groups a room has to offer wouldn't count as fun, or helpful, ya might as well go afk at the entrance.

Please. I brought those up as direct questions to you. You quoted a portion of my question, intentionally ignoring the crux of the questions "as you like to be". I continued reiterating my question and you continued to clumsily "dance" around the issue.
I have understood every single word you have typed. You just like to assume I don't. I have never come across someone whose typed words carried such an air of superiority.
I don't even care anymore. Having an intelligent conversation with you is obviously something of which you have dained me undeserving.
Now early on when people were getting Emps over a stormie it puzzled me, that tankers weren't making use of the -range of hurricane. Later it would of puzzled me that tankers weren't making use of snowstorms -fly as I have as a scrapper made use of air sup or peacebringers melee attacks human form. Initially though what was puzzling me is why the -range wasnt made use of.
Up to this point I have been innocently telling the truth as I just see it as being enough and you say I am being disengenuous. In the past before the -fly from snowstorm trick was a known option, -range from hurricane + snowstorms -fly was always an option.
I actually didn't elude anything really.
I was able to tank the STF without a single def or controller in the team long time ago. Years ago, when some people were telling me taunt was useless and dying on the STF, needing 7 defenders etc. If other peoples couldn't thats down to them and their time playing. Some people like the true warrior thing, some people will kite, I will use whatever just so happens to exist power wise in the pug. You haven't come to the tanker section and made storms any more desirable.
I have 4 stormies including Ice/Storm, their nice, they offer good effects, can be pleasant to tank for, a Storm def is as good as any. Always was for me since 2006.
Given a stormie I'd prefer the designed method, that could be required on Praetorians.
You have a superiority complex, take it elsewhere. -
I don't run much. A quick mezz check between mobs and then maybe a sprint into the next mob and put rooted on just as they see me, but mostly I tp, hastened 6 slotted taunt. I don't like running slow anyway. TP self is key number 1 so is easy.

Going back to this comment Ribic. You fail to tank him. You fail to tank him when he decides that your threat level is lower than somebody elses. Which is easy. I can with any of my tankers steal aggro off of anybodies stormie. -
So have many other people. I thought many people back in the day started to IO set with PvP in mind. Lets take a Stormie with their snowstorm. To my mind they are just as useful on a STF as they always were pre -range in taunt no matter what trick ya can pull with them. Tankers don't need any AT in the team and neither does any AT need a Tanker.

I have been dictating to AVs what powers they can and can't use since 2005 oh wait, when I started. The powers you mentioned don't have to get used at all because the main noticeable target isn't there for them. How simple is that? -

The 2 LoTG in the same power is for the extra Regeneration, always helpful. Also, moving more defense to Weave won't help as it's already at the ED cap for defense, and removing either IO from Combat jumping will drop my under the Softcap. (Just under, but I prefer the thought of being just over) -
It's actually a tempting combination to create but I am tripping over shield toons on my own account as is.

Another decline like from Q407 to Q410 and there will be no one playing the game. Therefore an estimated maximum lifespan of 10 years I think is realistic. 3 to 4 years unless something is pulled out of the hat.

I imported ya build but feel its bugged for I can't move slots so I changed what I could as a suggestion to possibly free up slots for elsewhere.

If ya found it can you put it into Mids from where ya found it, then post the datachunk here? There are a few slots I would move on it but to explain or rebuild it would take time.

Here is a q, look at Jab, d'ya need its rechg to be so low? If not why rechg it so much? That power cld be 5 slots max not 6 and so ya free up a slot. You don't need mezz res bonus to immob do ya?
You got 2 powers with 2 lotg IOs in them. Thats buying 2 Def LotGs for as little as 1.5hp a sec extra. I wouldn't miss it. You could have the 7.5% +rechg lotgs with a basic Def IO. If ya did that then ya would have a basic IO def slot and a +7.5% rechg in CJ. But you could then remove that basic def slot from CJ to Weave you lower your overall build eps with a def/end and so, add more to your overall def too.
Other than that it very flexible. Flexible is good. -
The def/end of man. is poo cos it expands to team. Team benefits in various amounts. If nothing hits the team then team don't need it. Scrappers shouldn't need a Tanker. Blasters aren't compelled to blap by legal reasons. People can take up better positions than they do. Attack at moments when aggro is consolidated. I don't do man. on my Tanks at all.
Combat jump first def slot adds 0.6 def and second def slot adds 0.6def. I always rather get more bang for buck elsewhere somehow for my slotting. Now with its end cost being 0.07eps, def/ending it with a hami will reduce the end cost by 0.02 eps, now that for me is one heck of an expensive thing to do with a hami.
Personal preference but I like to draw the line somewhere.
My MM build cost me no more than 50million and is barely any different from some of the more expensive builds. Some people just like to slot expensively but not get much further from an inexpensive one. -

Combat jump is too small a power to recieve an expensive set of slots. -
Joe, whats your total def when you play? I can't see how my Herobuilder is reading things right. 81% def to S/L? I know the bots buff you but I didnt think thats countable. I was looking at your build and comparing it to mine, Your pets have better def but you shouldn't. Other than that you got better rechg and slightly more damage.

I find I have a hard time on speed TFs, you might have to keep up and pass mobs with your lil hp level. Then even with so much personal defense I can end up on the floor. I am way over soft cap. I don't know what it is but it feels odd. I went from a build that seemed sturdy without IO sets to a softcapped one and it just feels a tonne weaker.

I'd rather have build up than quibble over 0.1% def. It very easy to obtain 44.9% def and 2 rechg build up:

Prior to -range in taunt, hurricane could be used for -range, back then people were asking for emps when stormies and other defenders, also had useful tools, that could with a tankers optional flexibilities, work as well, already in team.

So if they are a problem don't allow them to be an option.I think I'll just concede that I don't "get it". -Range does exactly nothing to PBAoEs and Melee attacks, which are the real issue with GW and LR (the only difficult portions of the STF). So either I'm missing the point or we are discussing COMPLETELY different things.
Edit: I would consider Aeon or Scirroco the bigger pains in the butt overall because of how easily everything else can be outsmarted. That not saying alot about them though. Not much to say.
