  1. Just PLd my Elec/Thorns Dom to 30 for Night Ward access, wooooot!

So, is that one-shotting Tyrant bug fixed? >.>
  2. Removing targets as quickly as possible. Waylaying targets that are on squishies. Pulling powerful targets toward the group. Destroying EVERYTHING if that's the only way to go (Nuclear option).

I have never, ever seen this happen. Sounds like griefing.

    Came here to say this.

Harvey Maylor's interminable arc about the Bands of Shu and so on is also incredibly tedious.

A lot of Blasters, some Doms and Corrs. No support to speak of or Tauntbots.
  6. Was super fun. Ty DIO + Smallz for the fun team.

    Yeah, I know.
There are realistic comics out there though, even superhero ones.
Troy Hickman had a good one going. Oddly enough, males in comics tend to have a lot more depth than females...

Now do you have any comics you could refer me too that have both genders not grossly inflated/exaggerated but still an enjoyable read?
  8. Just offhand most times I see the Stealth UL in Sprint, with SJ having a couple Micros (if you can afford them) or Jump/END IOs and a BOTZ.
Some builds like LOTG and Karma KB and BOTZ in CJ.
Life drain consider a few Touch of Nictus (inc. Proc) and a few procs if you can afford them.

Sentry4 mentioned Hamidons in Weaken (iirc) since they are acting kinda funky at the moment in that power.

If you can fit Veng in there it acts like a nice LOTG 7.5/Karma KB etc mule.

A data chunk would be nice to see how much +Health you are getting, 1606 is goal on a squishy but you can "get by" on 1550-1580 if your evasion/build is up to par.
  9. French speaker so the Belgian stuff like Tintin, Achille Talon, Iznogoud, Spirou and so on.

Didn't read a 'comic' until a friend hooked me to Strangers in Paradise by Terry Moore. Met Terry and Robyn a ton of times and the only other "comic" I have read is Fables. Too many superhero comics have unrealistic female representations so I have steered clear of them for the most part.
  10. How tricked out are we expected to be for this?
I have an Accod TA/Psy Def on Virtue with some Incarnates but she doesn't have PvP Ios etc etc.

I can move something beefier over if it's necessary, and would like to help out in any capacity. Thanks Sentry4.

  12. We're on a Minds of Mayhem trial. Our leader, the indefatigable Jane Reaction on Pinnacle informs us there isn't a hospital in this one, so grab a few awakens in case...

Spirit of Kings Row: Grab more reds then.
Jane Reaction: You've always been a troublemaker Neuronia.

So I load up on reds and a couple Break Free (No terrorize protection in Regen) and we load in and I just beeline it to Malaise and start pouding his face in, madly clicking Reconstruction and Dull Pain to survive. I then literally jump over other character's heads to reach Lanaru, then Jack then Winter Lord. While bodies are piling up left and right I cast Barrier for that extra few seconds of godmode...and we're back to fighting Malaise.

The rest of the trial pretty much follows the same pattern, with my Kat/Regen crushing Storm Voids (sometimes prematurely) and tagging bosses in the penultimate room then just wailing on Shalice Tilman for bloatrous amounts of damage. Oh, the glory of large orange numbers and "Critical" appearing above them! Oh, the joy of seeing my foes lying before me, ragdoll physics leaving them suspended over railings and broken-legged! Oh, the sublime feeling of just charging in and beating the living crap out of ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that cons orange....can't be beat!
  13. Dominator. Even with Psychic Shockwave getting its legs cut off it's still great. Throw out the cone, Drain Psyche, a few single targets to pull and add in Electrc Control's drains and soft/hard controls and you should be rocking.
Perma all of it to taste...
  14. Offenders attack with their secondary powers instead of just spamming heals and topping up buffs. Team contribution goes up and you're not deadweight auto-running Healing Aura or Heal Other.

This is quite unfortunate since Fallout does crazy damage and debuffs, Veng is fantastic for the team and they're followed by Mutation, which is a sizeable buff as well. TP Bombing ftw.
  15. No rewards means my sub goes bye-bye and I never log in.

and meets both conditions at the same time? I haven't read all of the threads about blasters sucking, just curious. In my experience a scrapper with no IOs at all has comparable performance to a blaster filled with (non-purple/pvp) IOs. I guess I could be a "12 year old" idiot noob, or maybe my blasters were manufactured in Suck Town and I didnt have 20 billion influence to fix them.
That would be me...while my Dark/EM is IOd to the gills for pvp (47 KB protect, capped HP, lost of +damage and +range) it just isn't needed in PvE with how stupid most mobs are. Blasters get held? Carry a few Break Free. Not enough damage going through? A few reds or procs.

You don't need 20 billion to fix Blasters, all you need is a little more situational awareness and a little more buff bar management as well. I'm not entirely certain of the Dev's intent with Blasters, but it seems their massive damage tilt eschews longer fights where you might need defense. Maybe add some tiny status protection when under Defiance, but careful there...

Seeing how I levelled a grav/TA Controller and an Ice/Time Controller, Blasters seem like Porsche 911s. Also, as much I love to PL to 50 and so on, I'm not sure everyone is in a rush to do so. If Blasters are lagging that much in solo and team play...and I've seen a fair bit at all levels, so anecdotally it seems fine, then the Devs might need to dip into Kheldians' wells and see if they can get some form of team buff. We'll see though.
  17. MY SOd Dark Blast/Energy Manipulation just hit 47 today.

    Breakdown:
    • Pre-SOs was a bear, using Gloom/Bone Smasher and a few other attacks did ine but the lack of AoE was tedious.
    • Tenebrous Tentacles opened things up considerably. Lining up mobs then hitting Build-Up + TT, cleaning up with a few blasts and Bone Smasher was a net improvement.
    • Not a lot of death/debt accumulation until late 30/mid 40 levels. Doing Maxwell Christopher's arc has been interesting. The Jaeger burn patches have ended me more than anything, even using superspeed to evade them.
    • Boost Range has been super awesome with a little chocolate sauce and marshmallows. It has allowed me to pull apart tight groups, finish them with some melee and short blasts, as well as using the heal to finish off foes and top off my health.
    • Status effects a lot more prevalent now, so bringing a few Break Free inspirations. Sometimes get the "chain of doom" where I get KBd, then something stuns me and I need to insp pop in a hurry and find a safe spot to recover.
    • Damage output is great. Most bosses I fight are +0 to +2 and die fairly quickly. Minions and LTs are a non-issue for the most part. Now, groups of multiple bosses are tricker but still feasible with nice pulls.

So far, the Dark/EM is doing great. I do wonder how much less survivable I would be with a "ZOMG AGGRO ALL!!!!!" secondary like /Fire, for example...but /EM being chosen for zone/occasional Arena has given some nice survival and utility tools...
Also, to be fair to the project I do have Task Force Commander, Freedom Phalanx Reserve and Atlas Medallion for extra health.
  18. Gonna have to go with the old dUmb channel teams on this one.
Bunch of /Colds or Cold/ + Slax on whatever he got his *** on. Don't think I've seen ITFs or LGTFs trivialized like that in a while, multiple Benumbs + Heat Loss is kinda nuts.

    How about you guys?
Virtually soloed a Master LGTF run on my namesake Mind/Bubbler (Power Boost + Mass Confuse, Void, PFF, sneak to next and repeat) oustside Hami encounter.

Ran countless pugs through Master STF runs pre-incarnate...one memorable (and successful) run had two PBs on it and neither had crab form.

    Countless SHO-Warburg shenanigans.

Master STF day 1 on Champ, Web Chambers soloed everything to last mission on his Kat/SR.

Warwall exploit to get Invention badge under Uni map in Steel before I9 was live.

Blew up Zwillinger a lot in some PvP leagues.

Only if you were doing it at intended level was the Hydra trial hard. You could start it with a higher level alt, have everything con grey and auto-win.

Again, compare that to those supposedly hard old TV trials where burn tankers just sat still and obliterated anything without pressing a key.

This game is nowhere near hard, but it's definitely harder than it used to be. Claiming otherwise is misplaced nostalgia.
It's the same pre-30, a little tougher 30-50 and more taxing at Incarnate levels, but only because you are herding cats.
  21. Having every character I enjoy playing obtain all the +HP accolades, purples and Tier 3-4 Incarnate goodies is cure enough.
  22. Checked all my vill alts (these seem redisde salvage?) and only "rare" I found was a Spielman's Signet (?) which went for 30 million on market. I'll check with a friend, he has a lot of legacy alts.
  23. For Invader, park an alt at each level band and you can save up the Mayhems.
Blueside you should get close to Tank Buster in Sister Psyche TF, Gearsmasher in Synapse and Unveiler can be had through an Anton Sampson mission, "Defeat Leader of Trap Base" which can spawn 20-30 Fake Nems. Firebase Zulu Point X-Ray has a lot of Fake Nems too.

For Dimensional Warder, you can get everyone except Infernal (?) and Dominatrix in the Incarnate trials and Apex/Tin Mage (Siege/Nightstar in BAF, Battle Maiden in Apex, Neuron and Bobcat in Tin Mage, ANti-Matter in Keyes Island, Mother Mayhem in Minds of Mayhem, Marauder in Lambda Sector, Diabolique is in Dilemma Diabolique (not sure if she counts), think Chimera and Shadowhunter are in Magisterium trial. You can just run Maria Jenkins' arc and get most of them too.

    Good luck.

She is using my account that has all the bells and whistles and I am using my husbands very old lapsed premium account, (no biggie just thought I share that bit of info). Well she did the funniest and cutest thing ever at least in my opinion. We were in a mission and we just got done beating a mob down, well afterward we needed to rest, I told her we should rest, she says ok, my toon gets done resting I look over at her toon and she used the collapse emote and thought that that was "resting", I laughed told her she had to hit the rest icon to acutally rest, she wasn't embarressed or anything (which that is a miracle considering she is 14) but that did give me a good laugh. Also sorry about the wall of text.

Great story. My niece sometimes plays my account and she's not much for adventuring but the costume editor? Oooooooooh dear, it's interesting the splotches of colour she comes up with!
