Daft thing is, if they paid the money for getting Whedon and Gellar and co back for it, it's would be so freaking huge at the cinema!
Well here's hoping there are many pop culture jokes and shots at sparkling vampires in it.

"I thought I read that Vampires sparkle in the daylight?"
"OH Xander, puhlease! That is just bad fiction!"
  2. No good will come from this.

They are better off making the occasional TV or Theatrical movie with the old cast, or at least as much of the old cast that wants to return.

But at least it shouldn't be as bad as the Hulk Returns TV Movie.......OOOOOODDDDIIIIINNNNNN!
  3. Well it couldn't be any worse then the musical that Terry McGuiness took Bruce Wayne too in Batman Beyond.....

I know nothing about Dread aside from the Stallone movie, which, while bad, was still fun (though the end got disturbing if I recall, haven't seen it in a long time).
The Wikipedia entry on him is rather accurate, also www.2000AD.com is the homepage for the comics that he appears in.

I think I read that they plan to once again bring over reprints and collections of some of Dredd's stories to the states, no doubt to coincide with the movie.

Still, it's nice to have the collection in my library. Fun reading.

I hope it was just that I wasn't feeling well and I will like it when I try watching it a second time.
Robo Santa was at his best in the 2nd X-mas episode and in Bender's Big Score.

Though isn't it funny that all of Earth cowers in terror at the mention of Santa and his once a year massacre/rampage, yet the other days of the year, they don't mount a military force to destroy him? Then again that would mean Zap Brannigan would be in charge.......sigh.

There was some minor entertainment value to the first Dredd movie.....extremely minor. I suspect this one will be a vast improvement.

I can't put all of the blame for the previous movie on Stallone.

There's the writers, the producers, Rob Schneider, whoever it was that capitulated to Stallone's ego about the helmet, whoever it was that missed the fact that Dredd's face has never been officially revealed and that all details of his facial appearance are dubious at best, Rob Schneider, the director, did I mention Rob Schneider?

What's funny is that I remember reading that Ahnold was offered the part and turned it down since he didn't want to wear the helmet all the time, yet somehow Stallone got away with it.
  8. Here's a pic from what may be a test shot/rehearsal of the upcoming Dredd movie.

Looks like they got the costume and helmet right, and yes he's wearing the helmet and there is no Rob Schneider!

I am trying to decide which archtype and power set combo from among my 50's to focus on for my first Incarnate. I am leaning toward my Stone/Fire/Pyre Tank but would sure like to see what others think.

Tough choice, of my 50 L50's who will get the most attention first? My two badge hunters will obtain their first alpha boost so they can do the new TF's, and I'll do the same for my main PB and WS.

After that....not sure. I suspect a tank or a brute will go all out to energize their powers then I'll work from there.
  10. My Super Permadom 3 has invis now, but I couldn't take tp ally as it didn't fit the build. So now it will have it, as to the other 2, I don't know yet. I'm still evaluating if I want to ditch the patron pool and lose the scorpion shield and take ancillary powers.

Of course on the other hand, the build ain't broke so it doesn't need that kind of fixing. I'll like take tp ally and some of the leadership pool.

For Alpha Slot.....I really don't need any more recharge as my SP3 has more then enough to maintain dom without hasten, so likely more defense, maybe an endurance nudge or I'll look at damage resist or more accuracy. So many choices......

Just get it right instead of giving it to us right now...
Indeed. Any bug that cripples or destroys an AT needs to be fixed before launch. I can wait and others can too.

Besides its more time to plan out the builds that many will respec into.
  12. For Alpha slotting I'm looking and recharge and damage boost for my WS.

While I sympathize that perhaps the devs should have more receptive of feedback regarding PvP, and I cannot claim to be an expert in the nuances of PvP bugs as I hate PvP in any game and avoid it like the plague (no offense to those who do enjoy it intended), I find it extremely dubious to argue that 3 out of 14 archetypes not functioning properly to the point where serious and possibly permanent character data corruption could occur (in the case of the Kheldian respec bug) and where those three archetypes' core features (Kheldian forms, Domination) do not function properly for a significant subset of people playing them (like, say, all Praetorian dominators, all dominators of any sort under level 20, and all dominators who haven't done 10 villain tip missions and a villain morality mission) is anything BUT showstopping.

(Frankly, I suspect it's the Kheldian bug that's holding it up - I think the devs would push with broken Domination simply because it doesn't bear the possibility of actually damaging character data possibly beyond repair)
Perhaps a new PVP server geared for PVP only with all new PVP rules and stats and then two weeks of free transfers for those that want to migrate PVP toons to it?

I doubt they have the numbers to support such a thing but it might work.
  14. I'm thinking defense/endurance or else have all my MM's hyper-charge the pet damage.

I wouldn't mind if they turned Winter Event on early this year on the live servers. It will many something extra to do as we all await incarnates.

Just because it is reported early on doesn't mean it is a quick fix, then of course comes the question: does the fix break anything else?

I've experienced these bugs myself and I'm glad they updated us with the current plan for release.

I also agree that any update that inadvertently cripples or disables one or more AT's definitely needs to wait for release until they are fixed.

In GL Rebirth, Geoff Johns showed how each of the GL's used their rings when they all teamed with Hal to send Parallax back into the Central Power Battery on Oa.

John as an architect sees every detail, every nut and bolt of his constructs.

Kyle as an artist is constantly refining his constructs as he uses them.

Kilowog is one of the few GL's whose ring makes a sound like a cannon when it's used to blast at a foe. A sign of his strength of will.

Guy's ring is always sparking with barely restrained will power plus Guy's legendary rage.

Hal prefers the simple and direct approach to take down his foes.

I suspect the movie will stick with that philosophy for Hal and hopefully show other Lantern's using their rings more creatively.

In the end though, whether its a boxing glove or a spiked gauntlet, it is the will power of the ring user that counts for how hard its going to hit.

Actually I'd rather be a Green Lantern but have a Blue Lantern along since the blue power overamps the green.

    Bendis and Millar? Ugh
  20. Nice Firefly reference. Also Dark Horse Comics has released the Shepard's Tale comic. Artwork was ok, but the story was interesting.

Kind of like how the writers of Annihilation all the way to Thanos Imperative threw out all evolution of the characters Adam Warlock and Thanos.

One thing I've gotten sick of with Adam Warlock is the whole Magus schtick. Talk about way over done. "Oh I must be careful or I become the Magus" oy.

Thanos: Starlin evolved the character into something other then a nihilistic death bringer. Then he gets killed in Annihilation. Granted he was dead and happy and his forced return thanks to the intervention of Adam Warlock putting him in that cocoon greatly angered him, and then Death once again turns her back on him....ugh.

Still, the return of Thanos from this story will bring about the restoration of Drax. Drax' sole function is to kill Thanos no matter what and the two are linked.

As for Starlord and Nova, between the full power of the Nova Corps and the semi charged Cosmic Cube, I'm sure a way can be found to bring them back.

In fact I think I thought of one: didn't Adam Warlock revert the timeline and thus restored the timeline where he would be the Magus? If so then another temporal alteration can be done to undo the events of Thanos Imperative.
  24. This was a good wrap to the series and Starlord and Nova are PRESUMED dead. The door is open for a return.

Also I enjoyed the Serenty comic: Shepard's Tale. Major details about the life of Shepard Book from Firefly are revealed at least. There is plenty more to tell about him in future stories, but the core origin of him is revealed at last.
