WS Power Questions
1)If you change form the bonuses persist.
2)The powers in "the main tree" (human powers) are only usable in human form. The forms had their own powers.
3)IMO the best thing to go is for +rech in a WS
I'm pretty knew to WS's, and I have a few questions as to how things work...
1) If you change form, what happens to your set bonuses? 2) Are all the powers in the main tree still usable when in other forms? 3) Is the best thing to go for on a WS set bonuses +rech? |
- Set bonuses remain. However, effects from ancillary power pools fade.
- No. When you change form, you have access to only the powers of that form. That said, if you pop something like Eclipse just before popping into dwarf/nova, the effects carry over.
- It depends. Now that Stamina is going to be inherent (and things like Dwarf have a mini-Stamina built in), it may be. Especially if you can perma your Eclipse.
Ah ok, so I could pop Sunless Mire, switch to Dark Nova and hit Dark Nova Detonation with the added damage buff already in place ?
I was thinking pure human form only, but I do like the blast powers in Nova form.. looks v nice... any build suggestions? I've heard they can farm well too... is there a farm build someone could post ?

Yes you can and you can even doble mire (human mire + dwarf mire) and hit the nova powers with more damage added
I see your questions have been answered accurately already (alliteration aside), so I'd just like to mention that I have a guide on warshades that highlights the strengths of going tri-form. See the link in my signature.
But while I'm here I might as well mention that, yes, +recharge is probably the main goal for any warshade build. It drastically increases your survivability (with more eclipse uptime) and damage output.

don'T attempt to read tHis mEssaGe, And believe Me, it is not a codE.

Would this be a problem?

I really don't like the dwarf form, it's big and ugly :/ I would consider Nova if the damage makes up the difference but other than that I was hoping Human only.... it's all about the cossie :P

I'd still advise reading through my guide. I do have a lot of information in there that's useful to any warshade.

The thing is, Dwarf is a significant form of mez protection. I currently have a high level human WS and mez-tossing foes are an absolute female dog sometimes.

For Alpha slotting I'm looking and recharge and damage boost for my WS.
Recharge can be quite handy to a form-based Kheldian build, as there is really nothing else you can do to add on new attacks. You typically have some wait time in the Nova and Dwarf attack chains, and it can get expensive to slot recharge in all those attacks.
This is why Hasten tends to be a really good power on Kheldian builds. As a click power, it carries over into the forms, as long as you drop back to Human to renew it when it falls. Even if you stick with Human form, it can be useful to keep Stygian Circle and Eclipse readily available. (Although I've found Stygian is usually up whenever I need it)
Personally, my formerly Human-Form WS is now a Dwarf/Human hybrid, so I can't offer advice on the Nova/Human alternative. But my guess is you would either want to use stealth to take out mezzers (Shadow Cloak + Starless Step) or keep Dwarf barely slotted, for escaping into when mezzed, and double Miring.
