  1. for AoE scranking i would go with SD/SS or Fire and Fire/Fire or SS. For Single Target scranking i would use Fire/SS, Fire/EM, Inv/EM and WP/EM.
  2. they were right about you... :/ why does downz hurt so much?
  3. In the early hours of the morning we will be attempting to complete the Abandoned Sewer Trial starting at 3am PST TONIGHT!!

The Trial takes place in Atlas Park and it offers the badges Head of the Hydra, and Charmer. It offers 28 merits and some vanguard merits as well. The trial will take no more than 2 hours.

    Strategy:
All members of the mission must have reached level 38. All members over 40 will be exemplared to 40. A teleport-capable team member is strongly recommended.

After clearing 100 Rikti, gather at the entrance to the Hydra silo. Entering the silo will start the clock, so be ready.

Descend the silo and acquire weapons from the Rikti crates. No team member should take more than one weapon.

Use the Thermite Cannons to clear the tentacles. Beware the Hydra head, which fires potent psi attacks.

Clear the force field generators of Rikti, then send four squads of one or two heroes each to each Force Field Generator. The squads must then defeat the generators in unison, on the leader's command.

Once the squads all have said "Down", then all should attack the Hydra head, dealing damage as quickly as possible until the shields are restored. The Particle Cannon can shoot about 5 times at the head in each round if the Forcefield takedowns are coordinated well. If this is the case, it should only take 4 rounds to defeat the head. Once the head becomes unaffectable by attacks, the process repeats, starting from clearing force field generators of Rikti.

Successful completion of the trial awards a choice of either a Merit Reward or a multi-purpose Hydra Enhancement (level 40-43). Characters that are exemplared for this trial will only be eligible to receive the Merit Reward.

If you're up to this send and in-game tell to my Tank Son of Dark or @Neeto. NRGTANK will the the leader. cya there.

I think only very minor changes would put grav in line now. They could, for example, get rid of the knockback in wormhole or change it to knockdown. This would give you a reliable AOE control that didn't piss teams off. I think that is all that would be necessary.

If the devs don't like the above fix, other fairly minor ones would work as well. I really don't think it needs anything major.

Yes, the change to lift should be ported to controllers as well (where it will help them more than it helps dominators, since dominators already have single target damage attacks.)

P.S.: As far as changes to the assault sets go, though, color me pleased beyond belief. Very nice...

    [/ QUOTE ]

I absolutely agree with what you're saying... i think you have a deep understanding of the grav set from lvl 1 - 50 and beyond.
  8. I wonder if the buff to Lift effects singularities Lift? can anyone test this?
  9. I wonder if the buff to lift extends into Singy's lift. That would be awsome. Can anyone test this?
  10. i agree but lift is a critical part in our attack chain even for doms as it is one of the only powers that can flip flop a boss around non stop. This gives you a great defensive advantage and with this buff we could gain more offense in out attack chian with lift. On a team with you being the only dom lift can keep the boss busy while you work on holding and immobing the rest of the mob especially at lower levels.

Moreover, with the change to endurance and recharge for the assault sets, Lift can actually be put into the attack chain not only as a fast recharging filler, but can save the dom some endo. I'm trying to get more people on my side to agree that this particular dom Lift buff should go into the troller set as well and for good reason to.
  11. i have a lvl 50 grav/psi dom and grav/ff troller. This change currently for grav dom's Lift is very good IMO. It sets grav apart from the rest. Where we lack in AoE controll and damage we excell in Single Target Damage and DPS (great for soloing). But if this buff does not get translated over to the controller side of Grav, than it would not be fair to them, and troller Grav will remain a mediocre AoE controll set with second to many in the single target damage department.
  12. [ QUOTE ]
as a change to gravity by itself, no definitely not. But the way doms changed for the most part may make more of the set worthwhile. We still have basically no AOE contorl till 26, but with a buffed lift and the new longer recharge times(with of course more damage) there might be enough space in attack chains that you can use lift AND crush instead of just picking one. Which fixes my complaint of 'i'm level 24 and I only took 3 powers from my primary'.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So you don't think the damage buff will crossover to controllers?
  13. do you have fly and invisiability?
  14. hopefully this change will translate over into controllers.
  15. If ur having issues with stalkers team with me, i can keep them unhidden until they either phase or run all the way back to base. Any controller, defender, blaster, and even tanks that have toggle debuffs can help you keep a stalker visiable.
  16. don't PvP in Siren's. No such thing can happen in RV.

They'll get to it around the time they nerf your equivalent of fire/psi.

Last I'd heard, the Dom changes weren't expected to make it in until after I15 actually went live? Glad to see this is happening ahead of schedule! This is where Beta actually begins, as far as I'm concerned. I'll transfer the most current versions of my Mind/Psi and Plant/Thorn over to test as soon as I get home tonight.

    [/ QUOTE ]

They were not supposed to. However, schedule conflicts basically meant it was now or never* so, I chose to go with now.

    * "Never" being an indeterminate period extending between now and I17.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think now is better than never for a simple and well deserved buff like this one for controllers.
  18. There's seems to be a lot of changes comming down the line for our closest villain counterpart the dominator. There is a general buff to damage for them and most of the changes increase their assault secondary which is a good thing and has no direct or indirect effect on us controllers. However, one change does seem out of the ordinary and has helped rebalance Gravity dominators and i quote TheOcho,

    [ QUOTE ]

    Gravity Control
<ul>[*]Lift: Increased this powerÂ’s damage scale from .8 to 1.32.

    [/ QUOTE ]

We don't have an exact reason as to why they've increased Lift's damage, but wouldn't this imply that Gravity in general needed a damage increase in Lift for balance purposes? Gravity has always had an obstical with its main controll power gravity distortion, where the hold would cancel out all Knock Up, Knock Down, and Knock Back powers. This means when an enemy is held Lift essentially becomes a purely damage power and its controll portion is ignored. Doesn't this power than deserve a slight increase in damage? And the old arguement arises as well; why does Mind's Levitate have substantially more damage for essentially the same power? Now we have yet another arguement; Why does the dominator version of Lift do subtantially more damage. As it is Gravity is one of the weakest damage sets in the controller line up overall and especially at higher levels while offering mediocre controll when compared to the other sets. If we have described Gravity as the single target controll set, then we should let it stand out by rebalancing Lift like it was done for the dominator version.

So i argue that with the above reasons, Gravity for controllers deserves a slight damage buff for the power Lift.

Link to further dominator changes comming down for i15

and Psi is going to be really end heavy now.

i think it was balanced around DS.

    Slows in PvP

i agree that -movement needs a buff when people are jumping away but the -recharge as is, is fine IMO. My blaster and troller still end up not being able to have an attack chain when facing a /cold, ice/rad, or ice/storms.

If -movment were viable i would be using a grav/storm are a disruption toon instead of grav/FF.

    Slows in PvP

Slows don't need a buff. A new better IO set and has both damage and slows would be nice for certain blast sets and slows in general need a PvP IO set. aside from that, they could nerf SS if you guys really want that.
